This was my first time here they were pretty nice and clean . I came closer to closing time they close at 6pm i got there at 5pm . I was able to call over the phone then invited in to do an expecting and get an estimate on what needed to be done on my car . The lobby was pretty clean and they had plenty refreshments available for free while you wait . Coffee , water , and snacks. One thing i didn't like was the wait i arrived at 5pm and my appointment was at 5:30 and I still needed up leaving at 6pm , the whole point of showing up early was because i had somewhere else to be . Other than that everything was good and they were pretty knowledgeable but just like any typical automotive shops they point out more problems than what you came to Handel . $7200 is a whole new car so i don't know if they can help me but I'll leave a second review if i actually get the work done it won't be everything but it might be a few things read more

I am not sure how the yelp reviews and google reviews are so different, the shop must have been flagging review on google to make themselves look better. TRUE automotive gave me a free quote, and I did everything on that list for 1/4 of the price (parts and labor included). Forget about the 3 years warranty that TRUE automotive is offering, I could get everything done 4 times for the price TRUE Automotive is charging. I am glad I used AI to check and diagnose parts and labor rate for metro Atlanta area, buying parts online and taking it to Buford Highway, you save yourself from a 400% mark up price that TRUE Automotive is charging. This place is a complete ripoff if you know nothing about cars and dont do your own research. The customer service is just a wolf in sheep's clothing. I have incredible respect for True Automotive, specifically Luke. I brought my father's car to Luke at true automotive for a second opinion after he had an accident and we were not completely sure concerning the appraisal from our insurance company. Luke was very kind to my father. He gave us an honest appraisal, helped accommodate us when we could not move our car immediately and I'll communication between here and I was very clear and upfront. They never gave me false expectations. We did not end up having our car repaired here because it was totaled but in the event we are needing repair services or even an inspection on a new car purchase, Luke at True Automotive will be our first call. This place is not good for business. First off I sensed a little personal bias due to my race. Second of all they offer a free estimate but give you the most outrageous price in Georgia. Third of all $1600 for a brake job and oil change on 2018 mercedes is a rip off, especially when im sitting in another shop getting it all done for $500. The main reason im writing a review is because the other shop is telling me the last person to put your tires on put them on so tight that they could not get them off. I have been a customer for a couple years and I feel the integrity of this automotive shop has fallen. They did great work in the past but lately not so great. I brought my car to this mechanic shop three times trying to get my air to work properly spent over $3000 combined and here we are in the middle of summer and my air is not working. I came in because my TPMS light said inactive after a tire change at Discount Tires. It was a huge inconvenience that Discount Tire broke the TPM, changed all 4 thinking that would fix the issue but made things worse. True Automotive checked my Module and ordered TPMs that were compatible for my BMW. The Inactive light is no longer on and my TPMs all work fine. Very crooked place of business. Well, I wasn't going to leave a review, but after seeing so many reviews from people who feel the same as me, I feel I owe it to others. i brought my car in for a tune up, and every day I was called to inform me of another issue, until we got to $2400 and I had to say just stop, this is ridiculous. i paid the $2400 and 2 days later my engine light came on and my car drove worse than when I brought it in originally. I took my car for a reading at Auto zone and was told my car needed a tune up (you heard right) and the 3rd cyclinder was misfiring. I took it back to True Auto and they confirmed the 3rd cylinder was misfiring, but they needed to keep it for a few days to make sure. Here it is 4 days later and of course, it isn't misfiring now (which would have been under warranty) and it's a completely different issue. I'm waiting on a quote now and you can bet it is going to be ridiculous and I'm sure unnecessary. DO NOT bring your car to this company unless you have lots of money to throw away and then have to take your car somewhere else to actually get it fixed. I only brought it back in the hopes they would do the right thing, but in my heart I knew better. read more

I took my 1988 7 series to them and was told it was first of all a 149.00 diagnostic charge I agreed to. They came back and told me it was possibly my fuel regulator and vacuum leaks. I agreed to the repair at 1500 dollars. Got a call saying that was not the problem and would charge another 149.00 for another diagnostic and this time possibly a fuel pump or filter would cost me another 900.00 dollars. I paid 1700 dollars and had to have my car towed back home. Would never recommend these guys. read more

Worst car repair shop around - do not trust this company - this is my third (and last) bad experience with True Automotive. Took my BMW in to replace hoses due to coolant leak and install a new thermostat. Initial quote was outrageous, so I called their competitor down the street (solo motorsports) and True agreed to price match. Took the car in on a Wednesday, was told it would be fixed on Friday. Called Friday afternoon - was told the parts have not arrived. Left the car with True over the weekend - was told it would be ready Monday afternoon. Called Monday afternoon - more excuses - had not even started working on car. I pick up the vehicle (as it was still safe to drive) and travel to the airport for a work trip. Upon picking up vehicle, True Automotive tried to charge me for parts - what a joke, they had not even worked on the car after having it in their possession for 6 days. And new check engine lights were on suggesting that the vehicle was low on coolant - this was not an issue when I took the car in for evaluation and was not mentioned as an issue upon initial inspection. Upon returning from my work trip - dropped the car off again (after hours) on a Monday, was informed car would be ready Tuesday evening. Called Tuesday - my service advisor was not in, so could not pick up car (could not complete quality check). Called Wednesday - was informed the mechanic had a stomach ache and had to go home. Then on Thursday - they called to inform me I needed a new coolant pan as the sensors showed there was a problem - there was no issue with this when I took it into the shop initially - so that added another $350 to the bill. Lies and deceit - I would have paid a couple hundred more for the BMW dealership to repair this within 24-48 hours using BMW parts and BMW technicians. Never again will I visit any True Automotive. By the way, all of the positive reviews on Yelp are the result of True offering discounts to customers for posting a positive review - be wary of 4 and 5 star reviews on this company. Moving forward, my business is going to Solo Motorsports and/or United BMW dealership. Really unfortunate situation as I try to support "Bulldawg owned" businesses like this one - only to learn they are ok with giving the runaround to and ripping off fellow alumni. read more

Every employee that I have come into contact with has been extremely pleasant and has taken the time to speak to me, including at least 4 technicians that passed through the waiting area one morning. I have nothing but good things to say about Chuck and the team here at MMW. We drove our Jetta Hybrid out from California, when the check engine light came on and the Hybrid system failed. Took our car here and they saw the starter was out, but could only be repaired at a VW dealership (only VW can reset and re initialize the computer system). I brought my SUV in for repairs because my check engine light was on and it was running rough. $2000 dollars later got my vehicle back with my check engine light STILL ON and running EVEN ROUGHER than when I dropped it off. Once home we checked and discovered several bolts were left loose on the motor. I am left $2000 dollars broker with an even worse running vehicle. As a loyal customer with Market Motor Works, I am writing to complain about my recent visit to True Automotive. My car has been serviced at this location several times with no issues until this current visit. My vehicle was towed to your location for service on Monday, 9/28 for what I thought would be an oil repair. The Service Representative Conan gave me a call on Wednesday with the first list of repair items to get the car running. The items included, remove & replace Engine Oil Filter Adapter, remove & Replace Engine Oil Pan Gasket, and replace Crankshaft Oil Seal. Conan later called back and said the fuel pump relay needed to be removed and replaced. This was in addition to the combination of items that had already been completed to get the car working. I was quoted an additional $104.00 for the fuel pump relay. I agreed to the additional cost. Conan then called back on Thursday and left a message saying that I may need to replace the fuel pump soon but this "should not" interfere with the car working. When I talked with Conan later in the day, he said that I might need to replace the fuel pump but that it "probably" was not needed right away and should not prevent the car from starting. I said that I would wait on this item as my total bill was already at $2,400. At that point he said my car was ready for pick up. Friday morning, I picked up my vehicle. I live less than 15 minutes from the repair shop. My car cut off as soon as I pulled into my driveway and would not restart. In addition, the oil light and service engine light came back on. I immediately call back to True Automotive and talk with Conan and he said, "Oh I was afraid of that, you're going to need to get that fuel pump replaced". The fuel pump would have been an additional $1,053 in cost. Seeing that I just spent $2400.00 and I was assured that the fuel pump would not interfere with my car working, why would I bring my car back to your repair shop when the work that "was supposed" to get the car working left my car inoperable. The same day, I had my vehicle towed to Buckhead Auto Sport. After a thorough assessment of my car, I was informed that a sensor costing $123.91 was the cause of my car shutting-off. I depended, or should I say trusted, the Service Technician, the Auto Technician, and ultimately True Automotive to be honest about the work that needed to be done. I am a hard-working individual and $2400 is not a small amount of money. I did not have $2,400 to waste and I feel like that is exactly what happened. I spent money on repairs that were not necessary and if I had taken the inaccurate and dishonest advice of Conan, I would have squandered additional money. True Automotive has lost a repeat customer. Furthermore, my Mother was also a valuable customer for the past three years and based on my dishonorable experience, she has decided to have her vehicle serviced elsewhere. Update 10/14/20: The manager Jenny reached out to me immediately to hear my complaint personally. Jenny was very professional and wanted to hear how she could rectify the situation. She reimbursed me for the repair of the sensor that was completed at Buckhead Auto Sport. I appreciate this and her efforts in rectifying the situation. read more

Markert Motor Works is awesome. When I came in for a weird noise my 2008 BMW was making, they did a full check up on the car for me. They provided me with a full, detailed analysis (and even sent me pictures via email) on the health of my car and the issues I was experiencing. From there, they prioritized each of the areas as do now, do later, do in a year and took me back to examine the car with them, looking at each of the areas in their analysis. They were honest, genuine and I can tell they truly wanted me to be educated so I could make the right decision for me. I did not walk away thinking they were trying to sell me something I didn't need or rip me off. Once we landed on what I needed and wanted to to fix right away, they provided me with a free loaner vehicle (2019 Jetta which was nicer than my current car) and kept me up to date on progress of my repair via text message. Couldn't be more thrilled with the service and will definitely be bringing my car back here for any and all things. read more
