Ok so help me make this make sense. My husband dropped his car off Tuesday at like 430 because it was making a bunch of racket and ruckus. They said they'd get to it in the morning, fine, no big deal. He needed to have the drive belt and pulley replaced. Also amongst other things he found out he needed some co2 thingy replaced. Well long story short, the car wasn't "finished" until end of business day Thursday . After dishing out over $1000 my husband gets in his car to leave and it's STILL making the noise we dropped it off for. Then Axavier calls him and says."oh we FORGOT" to put the pulley and belt on and to bring it back today (Friday) and it should only take an hour. EXCUSE ME? How do you "forget" to do what we dropped the car off for? Well good news is they're gonna give us a $50 "credit" to use when we decide to come back. Um no thank you , you guys already tried to pull a fast one on me when I brought my Jeep a couple of years ago, so we will not be back, thats for sure sure! Our Lexus was not starting, so we had it towed to Christian Brothers Automotive in Murphy, TX. The only reason we went there was because he had oil changed by them before and they seemed to be a nice group of people. Very polite. They diagnosed the problem and suggested we replace the starter. Next morning we paid them over $700.00 and picked up the car. We parked it in our clean driveway. A few hours later we saw patches of fresh oil on the ground under the engine. We ignored it thinking it might be residual oil from the work that was performed on the car. We then drove to Costco in Plano and found the front hood vibrating/shaking. We immediately pulled over on the HWY 75 and noticed that they had not locked the front hood. (Side note: Similar thing happened a few months ago when we picked up the car after oil change. They glove box had been removed and was sitting on the passenger seat. They forgot to put it back together). Next morning, more oil spots on the clean driveway. We moved the car to the street and found more spots a few minutes later. Then, prior to driving to the airport we thought it would be a good idea to check the oil level. Found out that hood won't stay popped up. Finally we called Christian Brothers. As expected, they blamed it on us. They referred us to the pre-work report and said the car had many issues and oil leak was one of them. They had no answer when we asked why before coming to them there was no oil spots in our driveway. Why all of a sudden my car is leaking oil and my hood won't close after you guys worked on it. To end, they wanted to charge me another $900 to fix the oil leak issue that started after they began to work on my car. They do not care. They talk very nicely and professionally, but WILL NOT HELP YOU. Not going back to them again. read more

I had a passenger side mirror replaced at this location. I was quoted price for new parts but they put used parts. Mirror has scratches on it. I asked the representative and he said they could not find new parts. When I asked for the discount having a used part they didn't offer any. This was a visible part but what if something goes inside that cannot be visible. I would not use them again as it is trust issue. They are not trustworthy. read more

The first thing I noticed when walking into the office was how nice of a waiting area they had. I was immediately greeted with enthusiasm and hospitality by Chris! However, not only is their hospitality amazing, but their services were done quick and at an affordable price in my opinion. They had a promotion going on for oil changes and state inspections, and on top of that, they put in an overall car inspection for free. They have a great system that tells you exactly what looks good and what needs work (with videos and visuals!). I come in for two things that needed sealing, rear output shaft seal and shifter kit seal. Having been scheduled for a repair around noon I got a phone call 3 hours after drop off saying inspection was completed. This bothered me as I took off work for this repair. They quoted me $3,300 for a whole transmission reseal, rear main seal, and recommended I replace the clutch. These repairs were not needed and not what I came in for. Being curious about these recommendations, I asked them to personally show me the leaks they told me only to find that once my truck was lifted, they couldn't spot what they were recommending me. If you do not know what you are talking about or need mechanically, they will take advantage of you. They will tell you they MUST do these other repairs or they can't due to them being unable to warranty you. This is a scam and they really put a bad name in their business for it. Plus, $300 for pressure washing the bottom of a truck is outrageous. read more

They replaced the brakes on my car 2 years ago, I am now at almost $3000 in fixing their repair. The current mechanic said it was the worst brake repair job he's ever seen. I'm a teacher, repairing my car is a big and expensive task. I trusted Christian Brothers with my car and regret ever doing so. After calling and talking to a manager he said that they have a 3 year warranty that I should have come back to them. But I was previously told on the phone that they only do one year waranties which is why I looked elsewhere. read more

Murphy Location: My vehicle inspection was a breeze. It was ready exactly when they told me! All of the people were friendly. They asked if I wanted water and got my coat out of the vehicle because I was a little cold. They explained everything and I asked questions that had nothing to do with the work that day and they were so helpful! They were having a special on inspections and they even waived that fee!
