The customer service here is pretty bad. When I dropped off my coat, it had a lot of shedding from a sweater. The woman who received my coat said rudely, "What is this?!?" I explained, and she just shook her head. Then, when I saw that they do not take responsibility for buttons, I asked her to fix one of the buttons. Again, she acted as if it was putting her out to do so, even though she was clearly going to charge me for it. When I came to pick it up, she says, "This was a lot of work to clean." So? didn't I pay you to clean it? And she didn't even get all the shedding off! If they feel like the work is too much, maybe they should raise their prices. I paid only $15 for the coat and the button, and I think I got what I paid for. Would have gladly paid more for better service and better quality. read more

I have had pants hemmed, suits altered, and everything looks professionally done. They also do laundry which is a bonus. The service is no nonsense and quick so to not waste your time. He says that after the fact they realized it was not s two piece suit and separates are more. Not my problem his mistake would not honor original price. I would watch my receipts. It seems like only the bad apples want to leave a review here, so here is an honest comprehensive review. I have been coming to this cleaners for about two years. I commute to the city everyday and its conveniently located between my stop at the Oak Lawn Metra Station and home. Pricing: This is where I take away one star. The pricing is a little bit on the high end. Compared to the Cleaners down the street, they do charge a bit more. Shirts are 1.40$ each which is reasonable, but 1 Dress was 10$ which to me is too expensive. They also upcharge for certain materials like silk and linen. There is a big range in the prices for each type of item, but you do get what you pay for. The clothes are definitely cleaner than the places I tried that are cheaper. Quality: They get the job done. I work at a restaurant so I bring in plenty of clothes with nasty stains on them. They get these stains out 100% of the time. Customer Service: The service has been good on my part, but I am typically the customer who is in and out. I have never really had any issues. They do the work just fine and I never had a situation where they didn't deliver on time. In one instance, I needed to get clothes cleaned with same day service but missed the cutoff time. They still pulled strings in order to get it done. The lady who works behind the counter seems to be the owner as well, so if you have a question regarding your clothes, you get a direct answer. Thats a plus for me. I would recommend giving this Cleaners a try. read more

I bought a $350 suit and wore it 5 times and then had the suit cleaned here and they burned the sleeve of my suit jacket to the point it has started to ball up and the fabric is very thin. I brought it to their attention and they told me "I've been in business 30 years and have never done anything like that." And then proceeded to tell me to "shut up" as I continued to argue my point. I've been coming here for over 15 years! Today I brought a pair of pants back that I picked up only 2 weeks ago cause the hem fell out! Had my receipt and the wife is screaming at me that my washing machine must have done it and refused to fix it! It was only 2 weeks and I was charged 10.50 to hem 1 pair of pants! I went in to see if they could fix the metal piece on the sleeve of my jean jacket. The VERY RUDE lady at the counter said no and threw my jacket on the counter. She said it could not be fixed. She is the owner of this establishment and should not even be licensed to even operate a business in Oaklawn!!! If it wasn't for my daughter being with me I would have said a few words that is how rude she was!!! I took my business to Gabriel's tailoring on 95th Street next to Frankie's Beef. Horriable costumer service and over priced. Not sure how or why she's even in business still. $27 to alter my Halloween costume and at first wanted me to tell her how much needed to be taken in. Made it seem like it was inconvient for her to even have me try it on for her. This cleaner used to be owned by a nice family. Now the people who own this facility are nasty and have no command of the English language. After cleaning an already cleaned item (instead of altering it like I had asked), the owner yelled at me, telling me it was my fault after it clearly was a lack of understanding on her part. She offered to alter it per my request but not until after a loud exchange (on her part) about how shes been in this country 30 years and that I was the one who was wrong. I went to pick up the altered item and her husband began yelling at me, telling me that I misunderstood and that my items stunk like a secondhand store and needed to be cleaned. Then he kicked me out of the store. (In front of employees and other customers) Completely taken aback over their complete lack of professionalism, (in addition to very poor communication skills), I told him they that their treatment of me was terrible. Best customer service!!! They do a great job at a wonderful price! I drive from Chicago (45 minutes) so that I can have the great service and even better cleaned products! I own a bridal shop and am constantly bringing them bridal gowns for my customers, so they don't have to spend hundreds of dollars in the city. In the day, the original owners were fantastic. This is the second time I have had an issue. I brought an $80. women's blouse because I wanted it to look the best! I've used them multiple times to hem my pants. Honestly haven't had much of an issue, minor thread that loosens but nothing I couldn't cut off. Today, I go in there as the pants I picked up we're not hemmed correctly. The lady told me that it wasn't her work and that it wasn't done here even after she looked up my receipt. She then said she would leave a message for the manager and suggested that I come back later that day. Brought in a very nice dress to be cleaned. Picked it up on Saturday 1/16/2016 & brought it home and hung it to air out. Today (1/18) i go back to the cleaners because the lining of the dress is hanging lower than the hem of the dress on the left side. Both husband and wife are screaming at me that it is not my problem. They accused me of tailoring it myself. They suggested that it was an old dress and this problem comes with old clothes. The dress was bought in November 2015 and I wore it twice. They just kept screaming at me that it was not their problem even tho they admitted they had pressed the lining. ***WARNING TO ALL POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS!!!*** Make sure you check the quantity they log in their system/what is shown on your pick-up receipt compared to what you actually brought in for cleaning, tailor work, etc...before you leave the cleaners. They can easily mis-count/come up short on their count and you wouldn't even know it unless you checked their count with yours before finalizing the services. The worst thing is, that when you finally figure out/realize that you were shorted an article or articles of clothing it's almost impossible to prove it because all you have is a receipt and/or a computer entry that had the WRONG COUNT TO BEGIN WITH!!! They will use this record to prove you wrong all day long. Also, if you try to give a description of the missing clothing don't waste your breath, they won't make a note on your account or do anything that might even come close to a business who is truly concerned with making sure their customers are happy with the service provided. I had been going to this cleaners for years when I lived in Oak Lawn and loved it in every way. I hadn't gone for 5 years since I had moved, and recently began going again. My husband and I were extremely happy with the cleaning itself. However, recently, he had a very expensive suit cleaned there. I went to pick it up, along with some shirts. I paid for both, but had forgotten to take the suit with me. Days later, I realized my mistake and went back to get it. The woman working there kept insisting that I had taken it with me. She raised her voice and at one point flatly refused to look for it anymore and began waiting on other customers. I continued to insist, and her husband agreed that they did not have it. I insisted. Finally, with the help of their security camera, it showed me leaving the store without the suit. The husband then laughed, then immediately went to a rack where it was hanging and gave me my husband's suit. No apology, no smoothing things over after his wife essentially called me a liar. There was a note on there that I paid but forgot it. They keep a client list via phone number. No phonecall when I inadvertently left without the suit. If I did not persist, we would have lost this clothing item. Very disappointing customer service; we will take our business elsewhere. read more

ZERO s!!!!! PLEASE READ!! I am absolutely disgusted with the service I attempted to receive. I've never trusted going to dry cleaners with the fear of losing or them accidentally giving my stuff away. That being said, I had a dress that needed to be done and my husbands dress shirt. When I called that day the man said they can do same day cleaning. I went in on Wednesday to drop off. She said Friday? No Thursday latest because of going out of town and wedding rehearsal. She says ok anytime after 3 Thursday the next day. showed her the problem w dress, she said no problem. I go in Thursday around 530, she can't find my stuff!!!!!25 mins later (5 people have dropped stuff off on counter not organized) so I though For sure it was gone. She looks in the dirty bin of stuff to be cleaned, there's my dress. She looks at me and says no can do.... My response was what do you mean you can't do!? You took my stuff yesterday said it was no problem......? Why would you say you can and now you can't? You forgot? What am I supposed to do now I'm leaving out of town for wedding.....you had my number you didn't think calling your customer deserved a curtesy call!? Her excuse was you see how much stuff I have? I don't have time for that. In the process Of her yelling at me she then finds my husbands shirt DONE rolls in a ball with hanger (THE KICKER!!!!) THROWS IT AT MY FACE!!!!!! Yes you read it right!! Not only did she not do my dress she throws his done shirt in my face!!! Needless to say I grabbed my dress and walked out as she tried to collect money for the DONE SHIRT!!
