We have been bringing our items to be cleaned here for many years. Our clothing, comforters, etc. come back clean, pressed, and smelling fresh. The owners also do alterations. We have been customers of Palos Park Cleaners for many years. My husband's dress shirts and his better polo shirts always look new after cleaning. I also have my dresses altered by the owner, Nicki. She does a fabulous job for a very reasonable price. She has also done alterations on my daughter's prom dresses and we were so happy with the results. I had my suede jacket cleaned last fall and I didn't think a stain could be removed, but I was pleasantly surprised that the stain was removed, and the jacket looked new again. My mom came in to get her dress altered because the dress had some material that bunched up by the zipper. They initially cut the material and resowed the zipper but it still continued to bunch up, mind you my mom paid for this service. The lady told my mom she needed a new zipper but didn't have one there, my mom asked if she brought a zipper would she be able to replace it, she said yes, then proceeded to charge her an additional $25 after my mom came back to drop off the zipper. My mom then went back to pick up her dress 2 days before her event, they never said anything about being unable to replace the zipper or about giving her a refund. She wore the dress the way it was to her event because she didn't have any other option. We called the location because my moms primary language is Spanish so we could explain what happened more efficiently. They were so ignorant and rude. My mom went back for the zipper she purchased and dropped off and for a refund for a service they NEVER provided. They only wanted to give her $10 back along with her zipper. Why in the world would any person with decent morals and or business try to keep money for something they never did? Needless to say we had to get back on the phone since my mom went by herself, they gave her $20 and the zipper. We decided to just leave it, after all you reap what you sow. Never again will we be returning! They are rude, thiefs and ignorant. read more

This one of the worst cleaners in the area. They have ruined several of my shirts and will argue with you instead of trying to help. Their prices are not fair and the service is slow. I would highly recommend finding a different dry cleaning company. WILL NEVER USE THEM- BE WARNED! read more

I have going here for 7 years, Ever since I met my husband. We have always had good service. Our orders were always simple. Last week I took our expensive 600 dollar duvet comforter in for cleaning. I went in today to pick it up and it was stained and wrinkled. When I asked for the item to be recleaned he had to make a phone call first before he agreed. Then he wanted payment before the item was recleaned. This is not service at it's best. He should of offered to re-do it himself. I should not have to ask. I am thinking I should of taken it some where else and brought them the bill afterwards. I am picking it up on Saturday I will let you know what happens. read more

They have no competition in the area so service is weak. $2 to launder a shirt. My last bill was $9.90 and they wouldn't take a credit card unless its $10 or more- really? - you cant pay the few cents for credit card transaction charges when you charge $2 per shirt? Very disappointed and frustrated with this cleaners. I took a pair of pants in, that always fit me perfectly, to be dry cleaned. I got my pants back and one leg was shorter than the other. The woman repeatedly said that's impossible, and denied being at fault for the shrinking. She insisted I tried them on so she could see. After doing so, one pant leg was visibly and clearly shorter than the other and her explanation for it was that "everyone has one leg shorter than the other." If that was true, wouldn't we all be walking lopsided?? She refused to refund me of my $5, let alone a new pair of pants! She insisted she'd fix them, which seemed near impossible, and call me back, never received a call back. Disappointed with what happened to my pants, but more disappointed in the terrible customer service! read more

I went in here for the first time based on past reviews. While I will not fault the cleaning, the owners leave much to be desired in terms of customer service. The woman was not at all friendly when I came in to drop off my coat, and when I went to pick it up two days later the man acted just as unfriendly. No, "Hello's". No "Thank yous" and no acknowledgement for the hangers I brought in to them. The woman was there too and I smiled and said, "Hi!" to her and she ignored me completely. Needless to say, I will never bring my cleaning to them again. I don't think it is too much to ask to be treated like a human being and not like I crawled out from under a rock just to annoy them. read more

I am no longer a customer. Like some of the other reviews, whenever there was a problem it was, according to the owners, my fault. I've never lost so many buttons on shirts only to be told that they were bad buttons. I recently took a custom-made shirt to them to be pressed. Mind you it had just came out of the package and I had never worn it. When I went to pick it up there was a stain. When I said something, i.e., there was no stain when I brought it to them, I was told that the stain was my fault. Then I was told that the stain wasn't a big deal and that I was a bad customer. The brand new shirt had to be cleaned twice and it looks terrible. read more

I've been going here six years and now go out of my way to have them clean my clothes and my wife's clothes. They do an excellent job, even with tough stains. They've done suits for me, my old leather coat, my wife's coat, even alterations. Very friendly, though since they do everything in house in can be over a week sometimes, but its worth the wait. read more
