I have sensitive skin, and skin is drier in the winter, but I've never had the skin broken when I've done waxing. The aesthetician put a salve on it to heal it quicker. I also signed up for a Bikini Extended and it was only a little more than the bikini area. When I told the aesthetician what I was looking for, she removed all the hair in front like I usually have-- I asked her what to request next time and she told me to request a Brazilian. She didn't charge me for the extra hair removal which was very nice. At the waxing center where I usually go a Bikini Full ($47) removes all the hair in front. A Brazilian at SMN is $60, so from a cost perspective, it seems like waxing is also the way for me to go. I don't like to leave less positive reviews but I think it's good for others to know if they're considering sugaring-- I really want to like it but so far it's been very painful and broken my skin 2/4 times. Maybe it's a better experience for people with less sensitive skin! Update: the healing balm seems to have worked as there hasn't been any irritation/pain from the area where the skin broke. It was just very painful in the moment, but there's been no lingering pain, which is good.

They have a separate handwashing station, hand sanitizer at the reception desk, and plastic barriers at the nail stations. There's a large selection of polish colors, which was great to choose from. Rita worked on my nails for the appointment, super friendly and made sure to check that everything was fine throughout the appointment. Originally I only scheduled for a Spa Pedicure ($48), but after checking for Rita's availability, I also got the Classic Manicure ($17). The Spa Pedicure had a separate menu to select the types of scent for the scrub (I believe there were about 7 choices), and I went with the Mandarin and Mango. The Spa Pedicure is completely worth the price and it lasted about 40 minutes in a very comfy massage chair. The Classic Manicure price was average, and took about 15 minutes. Rita did a great job on both sets of nails and I had a great relaxing time. I'll definitely go back in a month or so, and will ask for Rita if she's available!

What's most important to me is excellent cleanliness, medical-grade hygiene and perfect technique followed by having a variety of nail polish colors from which to choose. I also appreciate when the technician can do a good basic manicure without polish and just expert buffing...I will have to see how this is done on a future visit. Yesterday I decided to try this salon that I've driven by a number of times. I was not disappointed. Trinity did my mani/pedi and she was terrific. She was careful, thorough, neat and meticulous. I knew I wanted white nail polish for both mani and pedi and she helped me with my selection. I chose OPI Alpine White which sets off my (unintended) tan very nicely. The shop is very orderly, clean and nicely set up. Everything looks well-taken care of. It's got a mellow vibe and there was quiet, pleasant music is playing in the background. They have a nice selection of updated magazines. It seems to be a relaxing place. There are a few choices of pedicures you can get. The basic pedicure for $30 was enough for me and included leg rub and hot towels wrapped around my legs which was soothing. My manicure included the base coat, 3 coats of color and the top coat. My last salon only gave two coats of color and sometimes that really was not enough. I got a great hand and arm massage and at the end, I even got a neck and shoulder massage! Total cost for mani/pedi combo before tip was $60. Only 3 dollars more than the last salon I went to and for a far better job and better atmosphere. I will definitely be back to Angel Nails! This was terrific service with cleanliness and professionalism. I recommend!
