The service was pretty good, though I ordered from the kiosk and I picked up my order after they called my name. However, they did check up on me, as well a provided water to cops, and removed empty items from the tables. The staff were quite friendly. The dining area was small and a bit boring. There were 2TVs showing ads for their products, and 1 displaying a horse race. The restaurant was quite cramped, and I was thankful to find a table. It's located in downtown, so parking will be either in a meter or a garage. This restaurant serves pretty good tacos at a reasonable price, but the atmosphere was a bit bland for a taqueria. Obviously, this person was let go as they did not follow the quality standards instilled by Mr. Melton based on the experience and the meal I had this evening. I invited my fellow Yelp friend, Ricki, to join me as she was interested in this restaurant herself. She was impressed with the ambience of the restaurant as well as our exceptional server, Ashlyn. Ashlyn was truly a five star server. She was diligent in her duties, provided lively conversation and just added to the overall relaxing and enjoyable evening. (She also makes a great cosmopolitan, which I'll get to later in the review.) As for the food, this visit was truly a gratifying experience also. I recommended the spanakopita to Ricki based on my first visit, and she was impressed with the platter and the amount of food presented as the appetizer. She also ordered the Lamb Lollipops (French rack of Lamb, cooked, medium, and seasoned well). She had me try one of them and I agreed they were outstanding. She finished off her magical dining experience with the baklava cheesecake for dessert and declared she was more than satisfied with the overall meal. As for me, I gave the Ouzo Mussles a second try. For my entrée, I chose Chicken Rhodes, which consisted of perfectly grilled chicken breast slices, sautéed with artichoke, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach and olives. it was topped with feta cheese and served with roasted vegetables. It was an excellent dish! For dessert, I had Mama's Honey Cake. It was just as good as the first time I had it. For drinks, Ricki started off with The Painkiller. Based on the smile on her face, I knew she was enjoying that drink selection. For me, I went with the Pomegranate Cosmopolitan, which I had last time and thoroughly enjoyed that concoction. For our second round of drinks, Ashlyn recommended I add mango to this drink, which she created herself. When Ricki heard mango, she decided to have that as her second choice also. Serena was the bartender of the evening and she did an amazing job. She mixed up various concoctions for us throughout the night (we ordered a second round after the first one) and we enjoyed every drink she prepared. The presentation of the drinks were also well done. Serena's cocktails consisted of bourbon, rum, and various ingredients which could include bitters, lemon, agave or other cocktail mixers. She was the bartender extraordinaire of the evening. For food, we ordered the half dozen chicken wings (2 orders since they were so good) and the pizza empanadas to start. The two empanadas had mozzarella cheese stuffed inside and were served with a warm marinara. From the main menu, we ordered the Faroe Island Salmon, which was served on a bad of risotto and tomato butter, with capers. The portion of the salmon was somewhat small for the price of $28, but it and the risotto were cooked perfectly. We ended the night with their signature drink, "Death in the Afternoon" which contains absinthe and is one of my favorite drinks here in Orlando.
