This little hole in the wall Chinese takeout restaurant claims to be the best Chinese restaurant in downtown Orlando. From what I can see it is the only Chinese restaurant in the downtown area. All jokes aside the food is very tasty and aside from maybe some questionable baby corn cut up quality and overly fried egg rolls this is top tier Chinese food takeout fare. It looks like they've been in business for a long time. The shrimp with mixed Chinese vegetables was great aside from the hard tree stumps of chopped baby corn pieces. They even gave me extra white rice in case I need extra carbohydrates for the next day! Haha, I don't know what else to say about Empire Szechuan. Came here for lunch couple of times. It is very well priced lunch menu and you got a lot of options. Lunch comes with a drink, so you're getting a great deal. The first time, I got kung pao chicken and it was alright, the flavor and the texture of the pork fried rice I didn't care for much. It's a spicy Szechuan dish with regular grilled chicken, thinly sliced carrots, onions, celery, and peanuts. And you can get it Extra Spicy, which I recommend. It's the way the dish is intended. I'd give this place five stars for the fastest delivery I've ever encountered, but only two stars for their food. They have an online ordering system on their website, which makes things super convenient.
