Well been going here for 5 years and all sudden today got gripped out from owner saying that here daughter only does as told and would not give a discount for Aplus card that sign says it does. Use card every time there. Even owner knows. Asked owner about it and she started throwing stuff around and said if u don't like it, get the f out. Wow, after 5 years this is what happens. None of that should have happen. There are 5 customers in building and 6 employees standing around. Nice very nice. Don't get free advertising for being a Aplus card discount and the verbally shame ur customers for using it. Pretty sure ate a spit filled hamburger that day. I was excited to try this "5-star" hole-in-the-wall, diamond-in-the-rough burger joint but I wasn't blown away by the experience like many previous Yelpers. The service is friendly and the price very affordable but the food is very average. The burger patty itself, while fresh, is so small that it doesn't have enough mass to pickup that juicy burger taste. And there is no seasoning to save it either. So you end up with a picnic burger where the only thing you're really tasting is the mustard. The fries too were horribly bland and still mushy in the center. However I will say the tots were cooked perfectly. They were a bit greasy but they're fried, not baked, so that's to be expected. If you love this place because it reminds you of the burgers your uncle made at your big family cookouts when you were a kid, by all means don't let my opinion ruin your experience. But if you haven't been here before and you're really wanting a burger, do yourself a favor and at least order a double patty and some bacon... read more

But this does not keep it from having some of the best and cheapest burgers in town! I got a regular triple cheeseburger and it tasted absolutely fantastic. The fries are also really tasty! Atmosphere: As I mentioned before, it's an "off the beaten path" family-owned restaurant. The dining room is really small but people don't stop coming in. You can tell that Christi's is the place to be for the locals! It's a nice small-town burger joint. Service: The service was pretty good. The perfect little hometown burger place, a local gem. I've been going the Christi's ever since I can remember...as well as many locals. If you stop in don't be surprised to see customers constantly rotating (especially at lunch hours) because people love this place. The owner is a super sweet woman that genuinely loves her customers. You'll almost always find her taking orders at the cash register or hand pressing patties to make some delicious burgers. Every time I offer to take my grandmother somewhere to eat Christi's is ALWAYS, and I do mean ALWAYS, where she wants to go. She loves them so much and has visited so many times that some of the staff know her by name and remember her face. While passing through Waco, my hubs was craving a burger so I came to yelp. If you're craving a good, old fashioned burger and fries, this is a must visit. It's small and not fancy, but it was delicious! Great burger and yummy fries. The tater tots looked so good too (may have to try them next time). Christi's Burgers may be a small but clear venue, somewhat off the beaten path in Waco, at a location where normally I would not expect to enjoy a 5 Star experience, but how I was so pleasantly surprised. Sitting at a table close to the grill & cash register I watched Christi hand make delicious burgers with fresh ingredients and deliver with love and care to her customers. In some cases, all her customers had to say was Yes, when Christi asked if they want their regular order, now that's service. Stopped here with my wife on the way down from Dallas to Austin. This is definitely a no-frills police which is a great thing. This kind of burger joint is disappearing from the American landscape, unfortunately. I did not bother getting the fries here because they do not make the fries themselves.
