It's my family's second time in a row getting a Christmas tree from Mikey's and I think the trees here are quality trees! Last year, we picked up our tree around late November and it still looked pretty fresh by late January. This year we opted for a 5-6ft tree which was the perfect height for our apartment. It is about $114 + tax this year and they mentioned that it was the cheapest option. I think it's slightly pricey but we did enjoy our tree last year! They charge extra if you don't have a tree stand so I'd recommend bringing your own. The location is pretty small - you can't really roam around looking at trees. They do have a lot of different options for trees though. It's located right next to a gas station, however they do have their own parking lot so it's convenient to load your tree up. These trees are hand-selected from a Christmas tree farm in WA state and shipped south regularly throughout the holiday season to maintain the utmost freshness. As a WA state native who grew up cutting down trees from these very same farms, I was so pleased by the vast selection and quality I found at a lot in Southern California! This was my first time getting my very own Christmas tree. Things to know- parking is in the back and you will have to go down the street right next to it to get to it. There is only one way in and out. The reusable stands cost $30 The trees START at $95 The staff was very friendly. That alone is reason for me to return next year, if the world doesn't end. Alright everyone, it's official: I got my first tree in LA! As someone who grew up in a place with a white Christmas *every* year, it's always a little disorienting when the holidays roll around and it's still 80+ degrees. It definitely feels more magical now that I have a fresh tree in my living room. Now, this isn't a farm where you're gonna don your boots and snow gear and saw a tree down yourself. It's a parking lot with a tent and some nice trees in it. There's plentiful parking onsite and we were let into the tent by a staff member as soon as we arrived. He asked what kind of tree we were looking for and we gave him a vague "something small," so he showed us some of the smaller trees and we picked one out of the bunch. They then made a fresh cut and wrapped the tree in a bag since we were going to be putting it inside the car. The gal at the register was so sweet and we were in, out, and on our way in less than 15 minutes. The tree itself was about $80 (including tax) which is honestly a lot for something we're going to throw to the curb in a month, but hey! I think that's the going rate for trees in LA and it's worth a nice distraction in the year of 2020. Everyone was masked onsite (staff *and* customers) and they're enforcing social distancing, only letting a few people in the tent at one time. Bonus points to this place for being just a minute or two from my favorite natural wine spot, Good Luck Wine Shop. Thanks for the Christmas magic, Santa & Mikey's! read more

The absolute kindest people! My family and I went looking for a very specific Christmas tree that my grandmother used to get while I was growing up. Unfortunately, this year that type is a low supply and Mike didn't have any in our size range. Only took this East Coaster 35 years to find the perfect Christmas tree. Frustrated with trees that dry out a week after buying them, I found Santa & Mikeys. A bit of a drive and the trees aren't Home Depot cheap, Mikey's is on par with other private lots I've tried) but the tree I got was worth every penny. And I bought early -- Nov 29 (I never do that but I thought I could keep it watered better than anyone else.) Put it in a bucket, watered it every day, gave it a fresh cut the day it went up and... It was nearly as fresh as the day I bought it when I took it down today. Broke my heart. A great tree. Thanks Mike for providing quality trees that stand up. You made my Christmas. I have never been so IMPRESSED!!! I was beat after week one of holiday parties but had to get my tree Friday night! I called Santa & Mikey's to ask if they flocked trees. Not only did I immediately get pictures sent to my phone of what was available, I was on a face time call right away with video and measurements! Within 45 minutes the tree was delivered by the two sweetest men! The freshest tree ever was set up for me, and just like that, I WILL ALWAYS GET MY TREE FROM SANTA & MIKEYS! A great little lot with very fresh and beautiful Christmas trees. The service is very courteous and friendly too. We came on a Sunday evening at first, but they were sold out of the 5" to 6" and 4" to 5" tall trees. They told us they get a weekly shipment so that the trees are fresh and to come back in a few days. We did just that and got a beautiful Nordmann Fir. Prices are reasonable too. An FYI - they accept credit cards now. Many reviewers have stated in the past that they only take cash or check, but they are equipped to take cards. Also, they don't have discounts or coupons, but you don't need them because their prices are very fair. We also took our own base and they were able to screw the tree into it on the spot before loading the tree onto our car. Great service! read more

I got my tree on December 1st, the first day independent sellers are allowed to sell in Pasadena. Mike had a large selection of fresh trees, and they were well lit, which is really important when trying to decide between a literal forest of trees. Go on his website, and you get a 10% coupon, and you get free delivery. They delivered the same day.
