Update 2025. Outdated 90s menu, uneven food prep, waiter had an attitude, and dreadful options for gluten free guests. For $100/head I expect a lot more. It is a beautiful quiet restaurant, but poor value for the money. What's good: apple blue cheese salad, cannelloni, steaks, desserts. What's bad: Sides! undercooked potatoes au gratin had overpowering garlic, no "creamy goo" and a sad sprinkling of bread crumbs. Dull broccolini and undercooked tasteless sauteed mushrooms. Gluten free options were ridiculous (basically take away all the interesting things like creamed spinach or fancy sides and sub for grilled vegetables). No pepper grinder for the salad - and the waiter acted like getting fresh ground pepper at a five star restaurant was out of place - he told me the salad already had pepper put on it. Finally brought me a literal plate with a small pile each of salt and pepper. Really? Even Olive Garden has a pepper grinder. Overall, if you want a high end dinner there are much better options in BCS.

Overpriced and not worth it... Friendly staff..... Way over seasoned... Won't do that again. I ordered the Blu filet. It was wrapped in bacon. The bacon was limp, gross and nothing but fat. That was the first thing off the plate. Pictures look great though

Came here for the first time with my wife and friends. We ordered the Delmonico Steak, Beef and Shrimp Chipotle Pasta, and the Bacon Wrapped Salmon. For appetizers, we ordered off their 25th year Anniversary special menu. We ordered the Mrs. Pham's Vietnamese Spring Rolls and the Smoked Duck and Applewood Quesadillas. They were all very delicious and flavorful. My steak which I ordered a medium, came out perfect. There were parts of the steak that were perfectly medium rare-ish, but weirdly dry and bland. I had to rely on the red wine butter sauce for flavor because I was too embarrassed to ask for some salt lol. Definitely will be back on special occasions because although delicious, it's still pretty pricey. Our waiter was very friendly and fast. There was a female staff who accidentally spilt (out of all dishes) a little bit of the fish sauce that came with the spring rolls, onto the floor and partially on my feet which made my toes kinda stinky and sticky so that was a bummer. Their ambiance is a bit dim, but beautiful and romantic. Lots of parking and overall great service.

White plate was tonight's special - Chilean sea bass. Blue plate redfish topped with crab meat

March of 24, 2023 Came in from Galveston to visit a friend that lives here. Our waitress was Karen who was friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking. We started with wine, had some fresh bread... tomato/onion focaccia (too mushy-needed more baking) the white bread was good. The olive oil and pesto spread to dip the bread in was tasty. My friend got one of the specials: Chilean sea bass w/garlic mashed potatoes and I got the redfish topped with crab meat with lots of different veggies/potatoes on the side. Both dishes were excellent. We split the fresh almond crisp neopolitan of berries soaked in rum with white chocolate cream - YUM!

Started out with a Blackened Shrimp & Crawfish Fondue the perfect way to start off our dinner. Had a great taste and was light but flavorful. Also grabbed a Blueberry Mocktail which helped set the palette for the meals to come. Overall, these two items were the reason for not having 0 stars. Our dinner party had the Lobster Pasta, Field Salad, and Bacon wrapped Salmon. The pasta was not well seasoned and was lacking sauce, and the lobster was okay. The bacon wrapped salmon was quite dry and had no depth. The field salad had more of an apple cider vinaigrette base. Overall, this is a steakhouse so I recommend going for steak or meats. For dessert, the bread pudding was fantastic and had a balance of elements. The ambience and service were great, for a birthday dinner or even a date night.

Naomi was a fabulous informative waitress-the ambiance was remarkable like you stepped back in time ( turn on the fireplace would have helped as it was a cold night in Texas)! The food was way over priced for the quality. We got Waygu and it came in 4 thin slices -2 ounces was complete fat no meat! My husband got Filet which was average. The dessert was great.

    Christopher's House Filet

Absolutely delicious!!! My only complaint was that the steak was a bit cold/not warm enough when serving. But otherwise I loved everything about this place.

We were BLOWN AWAY by the number of college students, dressed in their Sunday's best, openly praying over their food before enjoying some awesome chicken. It was SO NICE TO SEE! We ordered a family meal (20 pieces), 2 sides of fries and a chicken sandwich meal. We paid around $40. Great value! The food came out quick and arrived hot and fresh. I had a slight "issue" where I thought my chicken wasn't fully cooked and the manager reassured me that it was just breading but happily remade my sandwich to give me peace of mind. I REALLY appreciated that. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, literally leaving "not a fry left behind." The size of my chicken on the sandwich was HUGE- had to be hanging off the roll by 2" on each side! Staff were phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Love the laid back decor. Plenty of seating inside and some tables outdoors as well. Definitely recommend!

My wife got mac n cheese with hers and really enjoyed every bite. The cashier was nice and attentive. The atmosphere is great for a lunch or dinner date. With that look comes upscale prices. You'd think the prices would match the experience but as with most hotel restaurants, they do not. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of food and drink options here and some deliver such as the Pine & Petal cocktail which is as pretty as it is tasty with the hibiscus, pineapple, mint and lime mixed with buffalo trace. And I enjoyed the Walt Blue Jay Pinot Noir which was a generous pour delivered. As for service, it's the definition of inconsistent. When I sat down, they greeted me within a couple minutes and poured my wine immediately and let me sip it in peace. So far so good. But when I finished, they approached and asked me if I'd like another drink which I replied about the Pine & Petal cocktail. They put it in and then the bartenders go to some other guests and chit chat about some contest they are setting up with the soda gun and building some paper boat to float down it with the person building the best paper boat getting a prize. I'm sitting there thinking are they gonna make my drink or do I have to remind them again? So they organize this contest with about 4-5 participants and then crown the winner. As they're celebrating, the bartender comes back and asks me what'd I'd like to order. I'm definitely a bit peeved since this was roughly 15 minutes after I had asked them to make the Pine & Petal cocktail. So mentioned that I ordered that cocktail a while ago. The bartenders realized their error and made the drink and decided not to charge me for it. While I appreciate the no charge, having the attentiveness to make the drink instead of focusing on the paper boat contest would've been more sufficient. Especially given the reviews commenting about customer service. Should I stay at the Stella again, I may venture here to try the other cocktails. But I'll probably just order one and be done with it.
