This is normally a go to place. Tonight Was not that good My wife's Hawaiian chicken was cold I normally get steak and shrimp. They've actually discontinued the 11 ounce sirloin and only have an 8 ounce but it's at the same price of the old 11 ounce. The baked potato was cold. The shrimp was cold. I ordered an appetizer (FD Combo Dip) the Atchafalaya and ordered a side signature salad as one of the sides. The salad arrived first, then almost right away the app. Both good but I didn't want all my food at once so I asked for the main to be brought out after the salad was eaten. Then within 5 minutes out comes the main. Seems and felt I was being rushed, so a little upsetting. The dip and salad were awesome. The main I sent back as I was running out of places for dishes. Came tonight for my husband's birthday. My family loves this spot . But tonight was absolutely horrible. We waited for 15min to receive our drinks. They did not come out together. Okay fine. No problem. I ordered several appetizers for the table. They come out in a decent time frame. Then our service went straight down hill. Our waitress passed by our table several times and never stopped to ask if we wanted more drinks pick up the empty plates nothing. She eventually came back and took our order. My husband ordered the pasta with extra shrimp, and I ordered the shrimp creole with a side salad. She asked me if I wanted it out first. I said yes. We waited about 15 minutes no food. No waitress. No manager. Just waiting. 15 minutes turns into 35. Nothing. I finally got a manager. I told her what happened. She made excuses. She took one appetizer off my check and I had to rip her a new one. I don't look for handouts. But to have the audacity to make my entire party sit and wait a hour and a half and want me to pay the bill with not even a complementary dessert. Ordered the fried catfish and fried shrimp combo w/ shrimp and sausage gumbo, mahimahi, bacon and cheddar burger, a full rack of ribs, fried green tomatoes w/ grits, huuuuge onion rings, key lime pie, and bread pudding. The bacon and cheddar burger was under seasoned and tasted ok. Everything was delicious. The ribs were super flavorful, tender, and fell off the bone. The mahimahi was cooked to perfection. Overall, great experience and even better food. We had the Firecracker Shrimp as an appetizer. Amazing sauce, not spicy but very favorable. I always add a side of ranch because the combination is perfection. I had the Fish Daddy's Combo and really enjoyed the chicken tenders and the Coconut Shrimp. My friend had the FD Cioppino & Linguine. At first hesitant because of the price but thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of leftovers. For desert, we had the bread pudding. Service: The service was mediocre for a large party. They were friendly except brought us only 3 appetizer plates for a party of 12...They would constantly forget things and bring it out late too. Calamari: The calamari was a big hit! The portion was great and it also comes with fried zucchini which was surprisingly good. The calamari only comes with tartar sauce though. FD Trio dip: This appetizer was meh. I don't know what I was expecting. No one really touched the salsa. The spinach dip was extremely spicy. The queso was the fan fave though. I'm surprised I never reviewed Fish Daddy. I am a pescatarian so this is a regular spot for me to go to for special occasions. This time we went for my friend Cindy's birthday. This a nice restaurant with good ambiance and service. Our waitress on this occasion was super patient with us, thankfully. For a drink I ordered The Red Queen, it was decent but not very strong of course. I like a strong drink. For my meal I ordered the Kale Salmon Salad, no Kale substitute mixed greens. So we were wanting seafood today and decided to give this spot a try. We were seated immediately and our server Josh was right there for our drink orders. I got the house frozen margarita and my son got a Michelob Ultra that was super cold. I ordered the fried crawfish Cobb salad which was absolutely amazing. The salad itself was crisp and fresh. It had tons of avocados which is a plus. The crawfish had a great flavor although it was pretty salty. I only say that because I'm not a huge salt fan. I couldn't tell if they had salt added after frying or if it was actually in the batter and that was why it was salty. But.... It was still very good! It came with a dressing that tasted like it had horseradish sauce in it. It was good, but I think next time I might get just a Caesar dressing or ranch. I am kinda a plain Jane country girl. Ha ha My son got the fish daddy combo. It had grilled salmon, blackened catfish, blackened shrimp and broccoli and Brussel sprouts. All the seafood was amazing. Great flavor and cooked perfectly. He is on a keto diet so this was all on his diet. The only thing he said he would do different, is to tell them no rice because there was a very generous portion of rice under his fish. I was so excited to try another Fish Daddies. The one in Tulsa is one of the best restaurants in Tulsa. I finally was in town and free to try this one. Maybe my expectations were too high. Maybe it was an off night. It certainly wasn't a busy night though. I was seated promptly. But it took almost 10 minutes for a waitress to come get my drink. She rushed off before I could say I wanted to order. The water took quite awhile and I ordered. I looked around and she only had a few small tables. Most of the time she was no where to be seen. When I left. I realized sit was because she was sitting out front talking to the hostess. But I digress. My actual rating is based on the restaurant not the waitress. First, the menu is not the same as the Tulsa store. It's close. But about half the selection. They didn't have the fish taco combo. I asked in case it was an off menu option and it wasn't. So, I elected to make a combo by ordering the fish tacos and the salad. Their full order of fish tacos were good but constituted the same amount of food that Tulsa gives you in their combo (half an order). The taste was close but not quite as good. The salad was pretty similar. They had the same lemon vinaigrette but it too did not seem as flavorful. Perhaps it is watered down more here? All in all it was a decent experience. But far from the 4-5 stars I give the Tulsa location on every visit. read more

My husband and I were traveling to College Station and looking for a good place to eat. As I read the reviews I noticed they read like a Novela. LOL. However, we choose to stop and try them out. I am not sure why they have any negative reviews as the service was amazing, Diego was our waiter and was friendly and attentive. We had the calamari for an appetizer and were surprised to find some fried zucchini on there as well. Definitely recommend! We both had the Fish & Chips, which tasted amazing and to end the evening we enjoyed the bread pudding, recommended by Diego and the Blonde Oreo Cheesecake which both were a perfect ending to a great dinner.
