What a delightful little place we found. We are new to Newnan and was looking for a place to have breakfast after church on Sundays. We saw this café and decided to try it. Good old fashioned American fare. We have been back several times now and have enjoyed not only the food but the service as well. We waited 45 minutes for our food. No one ever came to refill our drinks until we had finished eating and they brought the bill. I ordered a grilled chicken breast that was so overdone and tough that it was nearly impossible to cut with a knife. The first (and last) bite I took was the WORST chicken I've ever had. Quaint, little "hole in the wall" restaurant. Definitely a locals restaurant. Very friendly staff and reasonably priced breakfast. I had a "Po Boy" skillet. I've been here 4 or 5 times now, always for breakfast on Saturday mornings. This is a small town hole-in-the-wall kind of place, where regulars come in and are greeted by half the patrons. The staff is always nice (if just a little harried), and the owner was actually a bit embarrassed that she didn't know my name after the third visit. The food is good country food. I missed the first check on my first visit, but got it the second time!! The food here is awesome and I didn't realize the first visit we met Ms Christy until this time when she came by the table to bring coffee and I remember her being so nice the first visit I had to ask her name ... definitely commended her on the restaurant and food. Portions? The portions for the asking price is well in range. You will need to get where you're going to take good nap or go for a nice breezy walk around the square and check out some of the shops or just to enjoy the sun. I've always come for the breakfast around opening time, so by the time food is eaten its approaching mid morning. Perfect time for that walk or quick nap in the sun. ((I always have one of the skillets.. I want to try something more but I can't steer clear of the skillets LOL)) The customer service was much better the first time than it was this time around. Not sure what was going on with the waitress this time around but my boyfriend and didn't have any coffee refills and his dad didn't drink his water because he probably didn't think he'd get anymore in time seeing how we had yet to have a refill in the last 15mins; the other tables around us including one that came after us already had their second cup. Eventually more coffee came just moments prior to our food; however, we didn't have any napkins which was okay I went to counter to ask for some ((not sure of the young lady name with the blonde hair and braces- I know that's so vague- but she is the sweetest, wonder if that's Christy's daughter??)). Cozy little cafe people would overlook and pass by if you didn't knew it existed. The place has a quaint home like feel that is very welcoming to new comers. There are a lot of regulars who are friendly and talkative. You're greeted as soon as you come in and asked to sit anywhere you want. There is a small ice cream display upfront where they make milkshakes and sundaes. This is my second time here so I sit near the back. I didn't have the daily special which is different each day. I instead had the chicken pita with fries. The service was timely and friendly. I didn't have to wait long for my food even though the cafe was crowded for the lunch hour. My food was hot and fresh. The chicken was juicy and not rubbery and the fries had a good crunch with a handcut look to them. I enjoyed my lunch. And they make really tasty milkshakes. I had the chocolate shake with whipped cream and a cherry on top. It was so good! I would could back again. The service and food is really good. read more

Not sure how someone can give this place 5 stars. The hash browns were almost raw on 2 separate orders and had zero flavor. The ham used in the scrambled mess they called an omelette was lunch meat ham and the peppers were were maybe warmed in a microwave, since they were basically raw. The mushrooms were hardly even cooked and were so large that some looked like a sausage patty. You couldn't tell there was much egg since it looked to be fully scrambled in the pan and had cheese thrown in at the last minute. When delivered I was unable to distinguish any egg since they must have used al least an entire pepper and the cheese was completely hard and cold. The entire meal looked like a kindergarten cooked it and I would be embarrassed as a chef to present a jumbled mess of a plate. Would have just gone to Waffle House since it was about 5 minutes down the road. I guess you never know unless you try. read more

Time will tell, we've eaten here 3 times now since they moved to the old house. the first time we had breakfast which was good. The second time we had lunch which was very good, I had the chicken Philly, and it was perfect fresh soft roll toasted, the chicken was moist and tender, the fries were hot and crispy, if they didn't use that cheap ketchup it would've been perfect. Now the third time we ate there, I got the chicken philly again and it was off. The roll was old dry and crumbly, the chicken was hard dry and rubbery, the fries were cold and under cooked, so now I'm leery. Consistency is everything in the restaurant industry if you can't maintain a quality standard you are doomed. We will probably try them one more time, hoping they rise back up to the standard we enjoyed the first 2 times. Hope they make it, we'll see. read more

Christy's is the perfect place for a leisurely breakfast. Christy is friendly and her food tastes great. They have highchairs for the kids and are also accommodating for large parties. They can even reserve a room for you if you call in advance. Christy's café is what makes Newnan still feel like a small town. You can have a friendly conversation with people at other tables while still enjoying your own meal. The location is great as it is about a block from downtown Newnan. There is plenty of parking on the side of Christy's. I love the new location which is an old house turned into the café. The food is cooked to order, so it's not the best place if you're in a hurry- but the food tastes great, so it's worth the wait when it comes! I recommend the mama's omelette with the homemade biscuit. My husband recommends the corn beef hash. read more

I would give it 10 stars if I could. I travel all over the country and I am always looking for local places to eat. I found this place on Yelp, the reviews were great so I drove the family 30 miles to eat breakfast here. This place is worth driving 100 miles for. I had an egg white omelet and bacon. My daughter had pancakes and the wife had biscuits and gravy. We even tried a pumpkin pancake that was off the charts good. Everything was great, but the bacon was the best ever. We had to wait 1 and a half hours for our egg breakfasts. Restaurant was not even that crowded. My friend is diabetic and literally had to have a glucose tab to bump up her blood sugar from waiting too long. She also had a dirty spoon & had what looked like a booger on her water glass. My wife and I have a superior experience at Christy's Café. We previously visited Christie's 1st home. We are quite surprised how much had changed with the new restaurant. First and foremost, we noticed her mission statement on the back of her menu. It basically states that she just wants people to be happy and enjoy her meals. She asks that her patrons be recognized as they frequent more often. Some of the previous negative reviews on Yelp state unhappiness which may be justified. However, those reviewer's made no attempt to remedy the situation in a positive manner. We met Christy on this day. We could tell she truly cared about the people she took care of. My experience: ham cheese and Mushroom omelette was fantastic. The grits and pancakes were good. English muffin and toast, tasted just like English muffin and toast. The ambience of her restaurant is extremely inviting. You can see the waitresses working their tails off to accommodate all of the people. If I had one complaint, The bill took too long to come to us. But that happens at every restaurant we've ever been to. Christy's gets five stars: for the dedication to their customers, for their happy and willing attitude and for their extremely good food. Thank you Christy. We will be back. read more

We were going to check out the new location since Cracker Barrel was really busy the day after Thanksgiving. Food was great, however the rooms are so small I felt like I was involved in everyone else's conversation in the room. I know I might be feeling a bit slighted or surprised actually is a better description. Christy came out and spoke to people which seemed to be " the regulars" in the room which amounted to three tables out of the six. I feel like a business owner should be more inclusive of all patrons not just some. I did enjoy the food and I will return. read more
