The service is some of the best. Everyone there is so friendly. Plenty of street parking available in front. I went on a Saturday afternoon a closer to closing time and it wasn't busy. The food came out fast and hot. I would definitely return. read more

I love this place. Everytime I come I'm instantly welcomed with friendly faces. Good, reliable food (I love the beignets and blueberry pancakes). The live music is always a plus...I should ask if they take requests...and adds to that welcoming, comforting vibe. Megan and the rest of the team are beyond nice and will take good care of you! We went in as a party of 8 without reservations and were met with delightful hospitality. Service was exceptional for a group with several "special requests" and ages ranging from 4 to 91. We had breakfast here with my kids and mother. Traditional, straightforward cafe that delivers on quality. Basically southern diner food. The ambiance is great - seating is either on the big front porch or in one of the rooms of what was once a large home. Staff is extremely friendly, and food comes out quickly. Wish I had taken some pictures- don't skip the beignets! If you're looking for a good, no frills, traditional southern spot, go here. read more

Our waiter was extremely friendly. She welcomed us promptly and did a very good job of checking up and making sure that we were OK. Space was also very cute. We sat out on the patio and it was a beautiful day so that part was pretty awesome. The food was just OK. There is home cooking...and there is something that I might've cooked at home. The food definitely fell into the realm of something that I might've cooked at home. Seeing how I'm not that great of a cook...errr...You know! It was serviceable and fine. And I would actually go back... But it would be less for the food and more for the experience... which was lovely. read more

Yelp sent us to Christy's for pancakes as hubby requested. We were among first to arrive at opening. The restaurant was warm and staff also. Ready to serve like family. Hubby loved his blueberry pancakes and my skillet was great. This little home cafe is permanently on our list. Worth the detour off Hwy for breakfast and a Bit of TLC. We will return. read more

Went out for breakfast and decided to try Christy's Cafe. The place was charming. Our waitress was sweet and friendly and gave some great suggestions from the menu. Hubby got a skillet bowl and loved it, and I got the pancakes with eggs and hash and it was so good too! The only downside was the parking, had to circle a few times until we found a spot. read more

We love going to Christy's and sitting outside. The owner Christy is a lovely person and her family are her employees. We enjoy coming here because they are welcoming and the food is good and traditional breakfast. I really wish they'd serve crepes! Great coffee! When they are really busy, they have a self-serve coffee station on the porch for you- which is so awesome! Nobody else does this! Definitely recommend! I love the location- only 5 mins from our house. Parking hasn't been an issue, there's a parking lot right beside the restaurant as well. read more

Very nice family run small dinner, staged inside of an old house in historic downtown Newnan Georgia. Christy's Café is a mixed of art gallery and dinner. The food was nothing particularly spectacular, but not bad either. Service was a little slow they were overwhelmed, however, made up for in friendliness an attitude. We thought we would try something off the beaten path, so searching Yelp we decided to try Christy's. The small town feel was nice and the location was nostalgic. The wait was not bad and the hostess was very welcoming. Our waitress must have been having an off day, we couldn't get our coffee refilled and we seemed rushed even though their was not a wait for tables. The food was good but you could make the same at home. The prices were not bad, the waitress was the deciding factor and again anyone can have an off day. Service was really good... I got veggie skillet with side of cheese grits... gritz tasted like water, food tasted like it came in a frozen box and was heated up. The biscuit was good though. Husband got a gyro and he said it was ok... he had had worse. read more

First let me start by saying that the food is delicious, and the servers are very friendly, atmosphere is great. But the hostess is very mean and can have a nasty attitude. She tells everyone that the wait is an hour when sometimes you can look around and see empty tables. She needs to work on her people skills and her scheduling. read more

Not really thrilled. We were looking forward to trying this place, it was crowded and we still got great service. But the food was sub-par. My wife's raisin toast was burnt black. The gravy had that (vinegar-not-vinegar) taste, lots of places have it, but not my personal preference. Definitely edible, but I won't go out of my way to eat here. read more

A very good eggs Benedict. Which I think is a good way of grading a restaurant, overall, on food preparation. Because it's not the easiest thing to, have the soft boiled egg cooked perfectly, and the hollandaise sauce on point. I ordered with bacon, not Canadian ham. I would have preferred the cheese grits to be more than just shredded cheese laying on top of regular grits. Others ordered omelets, skillets, home fries, pancakes... I believe they said the skillets and omelets were slightly overdone. A nice, general breakfast place that we would do again if in town. read more

The food is very mediocre. My husband ordered extra crispy bacon and it came out like regular bacon. The server was sweet as can be, but she did take a while getting a few things for us. The ambience is the best thing about this place. I love that it's in the style of an old home, and there's art for sale on the walls which was fun to look at read more

We opened in 2010 at 30 perry st in Newnan, Ga. We recently moved to a bigger location with better parking, 27 Jackson St. It's an old house with a lot of character and you can dine on the front porch!

Meet the Business Owner: Christy B.

I worked for many years at a local restaurant just 2 doors down from where I'm located now, got to know and love the community and had a real passion for the restaurant. I knew there was a need for a place in Downtown Newnan as the business that I previously worked for moved to Lagrange. Find a need, fill a need. I pride myself on interacting with the customers, knowing what they like, and treating each person special.

They admitted that all the issues were accurate but basically told me to get over it and that's just the way it was. Not sure how they have such a high rating with that kind of customer service and guest experience. I had to reach out to them multiple times to even get somebody to respond to try and discuss the issue with them directly and they just brushed it off as not being a problem. My request was never to remake the drinks as i stated when we talked the drinks were fine and the only thing acceptable. The store also has my number from the email I sent so had they really wanted to reach out they could have called. And I was very clear with said store I would dispute the horrible food charges

I was visiting family and they insisted that before I travelled back home we have to have breakfast at Christy's. Rave after rave i thought i would enjoy a delicious southern meal. We were seated right away and were asked immediately what beverage we would like, and was told our waitress would be right over. After about 10-13 minutes of waiting for our waitress and putting our orders in (French toast and biscuits smothered in southern gravy and eggs) our food came out within 10 minutes. We asked our waitress for more butter and hot sauce. Our waitress never returned to our table after that. The only time we saw her was when she took our order and delivered our food. Not only was the service terrible, given it was a Sunday but it was not busy, the food came out COLD. Not only cold, but also hard as if it were sitting out all morning. I would have rather went to a Waffle House if I'm being honest. Will not be coming here again the next time I visit. read more

My wife and I went to Christy's today (my birthday!) for the first time and had breakfast. I ordered the Rick's Skillet and it was fresh, cooked just right, very tasty and way more food than I could eat. My wife had a two egg breakfast and raved about how good it was. We also shared an order of cheese grits, also quite tasty and a generous serving. The wait staff were especially friendly and even presented me with some birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to me.
