I didn't expect much from a gas station food service. I was blown away about how nice the staff was. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted. Love the food... took forever and I was the only person there. I will give it 4 stars giving them the benefit of doubt because the food was really good. It is attached to a gas station so it didn't feel as normal as other chronic tacos. Did I mention all the food was really good? I want to specify that this review is for the Rialto, Ca location only because my husband and I have been to several other locations in Orange County and you can't even compare. To start off the bowl was not edible because it had so much sodium I don't know if it was the rice or beans. The fries were raw. The carne asada and chicken were dry and hard but the strangest part was that they were cut into like 2 inch pieces. Also, the salsa was extremely watery. I threw away $50 worth of food in the trash. I just went in today April 8 @7:45 and my God the lady who took my order. Older lady kinda blonde or faded ginger hair color was so unreasonably disrespectful not only to me( the customer ) but to the two other employees whom were working man i felt so bad for them. No one should have to work in an environment with someone like her. The rest of the employees there where amazing though they helped me far more than she possibly could ever. Shoutout to the young man with short dreads, and the other hispanic ( sorry i wish i knew your names ) but you know who you are! Ordered the steak fries and got to say they are horrible. They have no flavor and for that price you would expect then to fill the container up. Also ordered the kids quesadilla and that had no flavor. It's almost like they use cheap ingredients. The melón water taste just like water no melon. I give this place 2 stars so far(I will try again in a month or so). It didn't seem like they were prepared to open at all. I've worked at a restaurant before so I understand the rush of people. But they were forgetting so many things. They didn't even close my salsa and it spilled everywhere! The lid to my burrito bowl wasnt closed too but luckily it didn't spill too! The bowl it was given in was only filled half way. Idk if the bowl is too big for the portion or I got skimped but if I'm paying regular price just under $11 I expect it to be full. Ordering is also pretty confusing. You have to pick what style you want and apparently you can't pick 2 styles. I wanted street Taco style and baja style but they only gave me and my husband baja style. I thought that was weird. The food was good and the customer service was even good despite how busy and overwhelming it was! I was pleasantly surprised at that. Realizing they are new and training I gave a two star review, otherwise it would be one. Ordered a California burrito with marinated steak. I was up charged a $1.00, even though it is advertised on the menu with the marinated steak. After making the burrito I was asked if I wanted salsa I said yes, but already made c it, so I asked for it on the side. Of course when I got home no salsa, so I had a very dry burrito. Unfortunately the prices are going up and now they charge you for hot sauce. My burrito tonight hardly had any chicken and the tortilla was only heated on one side which was hard and chewy. I have been coming here since they opened. Probably spent well over 500 dollars here. Not anymore. Sad that it's turning into most of the other places in Rialto, which means high prices and low quality. Unfortunately tonight was the last time I give any of my business or money to chronic tacos. This is usually a good location, Im giving it a 2 stars bc it says they close at 10 on Fri/Sat, I walk in at 9:30 and was told they were closed. This has happened before (i get off work late). I told the guy working there that it says they closed at 10 and he looked at his coworker and made a face and said "nah we.. we close at 9:30" which didn't seem believable but rather like they were closing early. Tried this place a 2nd time. Last time the potato tacos were so salty they were not edible. This time opted to try the veggie chronic fries and street corn. The street corn was yummy but 1 piece for $2.50 (pricey if you ask me it was 1/2 of of a cob) . I wouldn't suggest getting the fries. As you can see it was a pile of onions!!
