so so so good!! offers a variety of skewers: my personal favs were mushrooms, octopus, all the different types of chicken skewers, sausage was a bit too sweet and veggies too salty but just personal preference. but the fried rice?? oh my it was fried so perfectly, and cucumbers were also v yummy. would recommend!!!

Pork belly is good, a little too salty (dont need dipping salt), but each piece is too big. Beef is a little too dry. Chicken heart a little too chewy. My favorites are: taiwan sausage (very juicy and a little sweet), chicken (the marinade is good and meat is tender.

This place is amazing. Their skewers are authentic, fresh, and not too salty. My partner and I ordered a ton of different dishes, but my favorite might have been the chicken and corn. All delicious options! The owner was kind too. We accidentally got overcharged by a skewer, so he let us minimize the tip to compensate. He was very communicative and we look forward to coming back!

I haven't had a ton of skewers before, so these were fun to eat! We got medium spicy which I found spicy but doable and tried everything that sounded good :) We got the sweet appetizer rice cakes, roast eggplant dish, tofu, pork belly, beef, squid, Taiwan sausage, king sausage, mini sausage, frog legs, and bacon wrapped shrimp. Everything was tasty but notable favorites were the rice cakes (both the sweet appetizer and the skewer), king sausage skewers, bacon wrapped shrimp, and golden bun skewer. The frog leg skewer (my first time trying) was like a surprisingly good cross between chicken and fish, and the pork belly was quite good too! Each skewer order comes with one skewer, but there's enough to share, especially if you order multiple skewers to try! I would definitely come back but maybe order a bit less for two people (but the leftovers were good!) :)

What skewers we tried: Potato, sweet corn, fish tofu, chicken wings, chicken, beef, frog leg, spicy wontons and beef bbq. The must trys go to the chicken wing skewers. Perfectly seasoned with a nice little crunch on it. Honestly everything was really good - I'd suggest getting only one of everything so you're able to try more stuff. As for spice, I only went one level up from "mild". As someone who's not a big spice person, it was perfect for me. It still had a little kick but didn't make the experience overwhelming. The inside is small but we were sat quickly. We came on a Sunday afternoon and not a lot of people were inside thankfully. We were served quickly and the food came out in a timely manner. The restaurant isn't super fancy but casual and a great place if you're looking for a quick bite to eat on the go. We'll definitely be back!

Small restaurant but friendly staff helped us get seated pretty quickly! Got a few different skewers and I thought the vegetables were great -- meat skewers not so much. We asked for mild but it was incredibly spiced so not sure if it went through?

Overall, I can say the staff is super friendly and the restaurant is very clean, including the bathroom. The food is pretty good, just not for me. A lot of it has to do with the spices. To start off on the skewers, the sausage, ribs and chicken were excellent. The beef had a very strange spice on it, same as the braised chicken dish. Which I honestly didn't like it all. Both tasted much more like Middle Eastern food than Asian. I'm not a big fan of curry and things like that, so that's probably why I didn't really enjoy either. Total price was under $50 which seems very fair. Not sure if I would go back personally, but I still recommend trying them if you're in the area.

These were some of the best skewers I've had and I eat a lot. Both the lamb and beef ones were seasoned perfectly and the surprising part is that it was juicy. Other places tend to overcook it. They cooked it to a nice medium. I feel like they use better quality meat since it was also tender. The pork belly skewers were exceptional. The flavors were shocking and had the perfect balance of sweet and salty. The service was extremely friendly. If you're here to explore Chinatown, I recommend stopping to grab a few skewers to munch on as you walk around the streets. I'll definitely be back!

Meat skewers and sweet corn on the cob were all delicious! We got lamb, beef, and pork belly - all with the spicy seasoning. Staff were polite, service was quick, and the restaurant was clean. The only slightly disappointing part of our meal were the golden buns we got for dessert. The sweet sauce was drizzled on top rather than in a bowl for dipping, so we didn't feel like there was enough sauce for the buns. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will definitely be coming back soon!

One of the only Chinese bbq skewer spots in Chinatown, although they have other entrees as well. It's more of a casual place. You order by writing on a paper menu. The skewers are well seasoned and they have extra seasonings on the table if needed but we don't usually use them. I really liked the preserved eggs with tofu and rice cakes with honey. The rice cakes with honey are coated in what tasted like sesame powder so it tasted like a sesame ball without the red bean filling and all the oil. The owners are very friendly. The place is rarely busy so you don't have to worry about a wait. Highly recommend if you're a bbq lover.

You will always be famous. Food is great quality and lots of options. Something for everyone. Casual dining. Service is not fast but not slow.

My favorite go-to place for skewers! Best one you can find in Chinatown and it's a BYOB! I always order the beacon wrapped enoki mushroom. It's so good! I also like chicken meat skewer, which is tender and not too dried. You can sprinkle more seasoning like red pepper powder and cumin if you love spicy spicy like me. This place is small and cozy owned by a small family. Even though they don't understand and speak English well, but they're very friendly and attentive. Everything is good. Except the squid, which is hard and on a chewy side. You need a strong teeth for that lol. I recommended bring some beers to have with your skewers, it's the best pairing! It's a good mood. This place is perfect for anyone who wants to chill with friends and have a yummy small bite snacks.

Just ate here after a day at PAX Unplugged and it was awesome. Food was hot, came out fast and was reasonably priced. 2 of us with tip ate for $89 the bill was $75.

They also give you a large bowl of rice as well. The meats were marinated very lightly and was not the best cut. A lot of fatty bits we had to cook off or clean off. The prawns and garlic shrimp was really good. We got another order of shrimp. I also ordered thin slice pork belly that was unmarinated. They have a dip station so I grabbed a bunch and marinaded my own pork belly. It was pretty good after I got the fat crispy. I did tell them it was my birthday and they were weird about it at first. A very solid option for AYCE KBBQ in UCity!…read more I was craving for KBBQ after having it for my dad's bday, and wifey and I needed a date night idea. So why not eating way too much protein while our faces soak up that delicious grease and smoke? It turns out there are no reasons why not. The meat selection is pretty good for a spot that I didn't get the impression specializes in KBBQ - it was, after all, a hot pot spot first. But they've got your classics: LA galbi, bulgogi beef, thinly sliced fatty brisket, pork belly, spicy gochujang pork shoulder, you know what it is. But they also have some deep cuts: pork cheek and beef tongue! I think those are only available for dinner, but still. Delicious. They also have a good selection of seafood. Their marinated scallops and squid were a hit. I believe they also have mussels, shrimp, all the good stuff. One thing I wish they had more of was a wider variety of side dishes (banchan). They had radish kimchi and marinated cucumbers when I went, but cabbage kimchi was all out that day, and I just feel like one more little side dish would have made it perfect... like maybe some potato salad or the like. Because it's a hot pot joint, the sauce game is on point though. Plenty of sesame oil and soybean paste to slather your grilled goodies in. Plus, some vinegars, fresh herbs, other chili oils, and the like that would normally be used for hot pot. Mix and match to your delight. Drinks were varied and very reasonably priced. All the usual suspects from soju to sake. I'll come back with friends when bulking season comes around, for sure!

It wasn't busy when we went (probably because it's summer), which meant we had plenty of space and some nice privacy -- we were seated far from other tables, which was great. They really stay on top of the AYCE part, which I appreciated. You can choose between an individual pot or a communal one, and there's a solid self-serve section in the back with drinks, sauces, veggies, noodles, and other hotpot basics. The seafood selection was surprisingly good -- abalone, conch, crab legs, shrimp, mussels -- all fresh and flavorful. The seafood boil took a little while to come out, but it was seasoned well and worth the wait. For meat, they had American wagyu, ribeye, pork belly, and lamb -- all sliced fresh and great for hotpot. The only downside was the bathroom. The sink was clogged and almost overflowing, and there was no hand soap, which definitely raised some hygiene concerns. Still, the overall value, service, and food quality made this a great experience. I'll definitely be back -- especially in the winter when hotpot hits even harder.
