    House Special noodles

Doughy noods, bland broth, chewy beef. Service and dining area okay. Strange that country music is pumped loud throughout the dining area. Ate no more than 3 bites, $16 down the drain.

Still one of my favorite place to get noodle soup. The broth is so flavorful, if you can take the spice I always recommend to add the extra for Szechuan spice $ it's worth the money imo. I get the veggie a tofu and it's so filling. I always have leftovers. If you can't decide between knife shave or hand drawn , you can't go wrong. But go for knife for more of a chewy bite or hand drawn for more of the ramen / straight noodle type of bite !

Decent vegetarian options - we got the stir fried veggie hand-pulled noodles and the sesame tofu (server told us usually it has shellfish but he could have it made without). The noodles were actually pretty tasty, not greasy or oily and spiced just right (we got mild but it still had a slight kick). However, I felt like I could smell something fishy in them so was slightly put off. The sesame tofu had good flavor but the sauce was very gelatinous - clumped together a bit and felt gooey in a bad way, maybe too much cornstarch to thicken it? Was a fine experience but I'm sure their other meat dishes are great, as I read good things.

Went here with like 6 people two weeks ago. Cold damp night. When you walk in there is the pleasant smell of the herbal soups. Certainly, whetted the appetite. We weren't seated right away. Be aware that larger parties might require a bit more time to be seated. We started off with some crab rangoons. A guilty pleasure. Crispy with the imitation crab meat and a sweet and sour sauce. I'd argue it's not pretty, it's not elegant, but it does sate a need for cheese in the standard American when you're at a Chinese spot. Feel free to skip the item. I was happy with it though. The cucumbers were a tasty side dish. Refreshing and flavorful with a sweet soy sesame sauce. Definitely a good portion and perfect for sharing. Needed with the other fried appetizers we got The wings were a favorite. Deep fried, crispy, and topped with garlic and chilis. Thangs came out piping hot and tender. Hard to pass on these but after the crab Rangoon I was feeling a bit heavy so I was excited for the soup. Soup came out. The broth was warm and comforting with the herbal essence and the flavorful meaty taste. The lamb flavor permeates the dish. Good for the soul on a cold winter night Staff was accommodating on a busy day and was attentive to the table. Really appreciated it. Will return.

I found a hearty noodle restaurant on a cold Philadelphia day. I had the house special with hand drawn noodle. They have healthy portions. Lots of broth and noodles, and a decent amount of beef. Definitely filling and it came out quick.

I went here with two friends on Friday and this restaurant is doing something super shady with credit card payments. I discovered that they are basing the tips via credit card on the inflated total with the 4% credit card fee! Tips should NEVER be after tax or after a transaction fee. I'm never coming here again.

    Sauerkraut
    Qinyue H.

Rating: 8.8/10!! The beef-mix noodles were a true delight -- heaped with generous cuts of beef. The accompanying sauerkraut was a brilliant counterpoint; its zesty tang sliced through the richness of the broth, making each bite moreish. It was a satisfying lunch and an excellent value for the quality. The restaurant maintained a clean environment. The staff were friendly.

It's quite possible this place just became my favorite hand drawn noodle place in Chinatown. I'm a big fan of Nan Zhou. I'll always be a big fan of Nan Zhou. But Soice C is most definitely doing this right. These noodles seem to hold the flavors exceptionally well. The pork fried dumplings are more uniquely flavored than most places. Just add one more place to my Chinatown recommended list.

noodles w soy sauce pork is pretty good. Portion is huge with meat, lots of noodles, and lettuce at the bottom. Fishball is normal. Quick service overall

Were there being so many options for restaurants in the Chinatown area, I was interested to try this place out because of their hand pulled noodle options. My neighbor and I decided to both try hand pulled noodles, I did mine with shrimp and she did the vegetable option. I was happy to also see that they had a veggie sauce option for those that don't do meat. The food is really tasty and the persons were very large, it's a great option for noodle lovers in Chinatown.

Spice C was a very nice experience for us. We were just wandering around China town and decided to pop in for dinner on a Sunday night. My wife got the sesame chicken. She was disappointed you couldn't do a side of fried rice but the chicken was cooked perfectly nice crispy crunch to it and the sauce had good flavor. I had the treasure stir fry with the hand pulled noodles this was great, I loved the flavors and there was a solid amount of meats shrimp were kinda small, but the noodles were the star of the show best noodles in an Asian dish I've had. I enjoyed the menu described the noodle making. Smaller space but used it well. The service was good nothing great. Definitely check them out when in Philly's China town!

The homemade DanDan noodles were our favorite, which are served with ground pork in a spicy peanut sauce. We also got the three cup chicken which was so good, with a sweet, licorice-like glaze. Some other favorites were the black pepper chicken and the long hot chicken, if you enjoy spice. We had the ginger and scallion dish and was not our favorite, as the chicken had a unique consistency and was quite limp. Overall, good service and a relaxing ambiance in a bustling city.

Unfortunately the experience at pickup wasn't the best. I asked if they had included utensils and the gentleman at the counter said no. I asked for some since I was bringing the food back to my hotel and wouldn't have anything to eat with. He was pretty dismissive and didn't seem to want to give me anything. (I also didn't get any napkins.) Just a little strange when ordering takeout, utensils should be included right? Or at the very least be readily given out when requested? He begrudgingly gave me 2 pairs of chopsticks and a fork, said he ran out of spoons. I didn't notice the lack of napkins until I got back. Now for the food. We ordered dan dan noodles, a chicken lo mein, and Taiwanese minced pork rice. The noodle dishes were decent but the lo mein was a bit too al dente for our liking...especially for our young son. Didn't get a chance to eat the rice because we were all too full from the noodles. Appreciate the generous portions at least. Will see if the rice will make it home safely with us and reheats well. Can't speak on the ambience. Wasn't in there long enough to really look around. Will I order from them again or try in person in the future? I'm not sure. I wasn't blown away by the food or service so...

On this cold almost summer day, Nan Zhou was hustling and bustling. Separate parties at the same round table and clients coming in and out of the restaurant facade. Warm lighting and active banter. I received my bowl of beef noodle soup was pretty satisfied. Beef was tender with flavorful bites of fattiness. Somehow, the meat tastes beefier than beef. The cilantro had potent herbaceous flavor with some spinach(?) and mustard greens. Noodles were pleasantly chewy w variation in texture. Lowkey, everything else was alright. I like to be nice so I'll say no more. Cucumbers were fine

This place was packed, which is always a good sign, and even with that the staff stayed super prompt and professional. The house special was my favorite. I got it with the knife-cut noodles and it was perfect with the broth. The noodles had that slightly uneven, chewy texture that really holds onto the soup. I never thought I'd be the type to talk about "mouthfeel" but here we are. The broth itself was rich and savory with a deep beef flavor, a little bit of oil on top that adds body without feeling too heavy. It's that classic, comforting Chinese beef noodle soup done really well. I added a braised egg, which had great flavor soaked into it, though it was served cold, which threw me off a bit. The mapo tofu with noodles was also really solid. It had that signature spicy, numbing kick from the Sichuan peppercorns, balanced with a savory, slightly salty sauce. The tofu was soft and silky, and mixing it with the noodles made it extra satisfying. It's got some heat but not overwhelming, just enough to keep you going back for another bite. The shrimp stir fry was lighter but still flavorful. The shrimp were cooked well, tender with a slight snap, and the sauce leaned more on the savory side with a mild sweetness. It felt like a nice balance alongside the heavier noodle dishes. Couple practical things: it's cash only, but there's an ATM right by the seating area which makes it easy. And the portions are generous for the price, so it feels like a really good deal. Overall, super satisfying spot. Busy, a little chaotic, but the food absolutely delivers. Definitely a go-to if you're craving hand-pulled noodles.

A bit on the higher priced side for this dish but as I've had some great food from a different Han Dynasty location I didn't mind trying them out. Portion size was average on the chicken. The spice level says 8/10 but it was definitely on the weaker side. Maybe the peppers themselves were older / dried out and the flavor faded too much vs fresher peppers right before cooking. Maybe a bad choice of dish or an off day but as compared to a few other Sichuan dry pepper dishes from other restaurants around Philly it was a clear step below them. Might try a different choice if I order again.
