This is a great family atmosphere, wonderful food and friendly staff. We had a private party today for my mothers birthday and the food was amazing as always. I had most all of my party guest tell me how good the food was and that didnt even know the restaurant was there. We have been going since it opened a few months ago and I have tried nearly everything on the menu. The fried shrimp is wonderful, the crabclaws are to die for, the shrimp caesar salad is great too. The Po Boys are on fresh bread and are piled high with your favorite. Sides are wonderful as well. Everything is always on spot. You will not be disappointed. Had to wait a bit but liked that was going to be fresh. I ordered their classic cheeseburger and it was ok but not what I would consider to be "outstanding". The bun was a bit stale and I think that's what threw me off. Definitely if you want a better burger then drive down the road to "the Purple Onion" and get their cheeseburger. read more

This was recommended to me as a great place to get a burger. The burgers were cooked to perfection the right combination of that crispy goodness while retaining their juicy texture. The fried green tomatoes were breaded in a manner that allowed you to taste the tomato without it being overwhelmed with oil they were fried in. This was our second visit, we went right after they opened, Food did not have much taste. I guess I was expecting "Chubb's type flavors". So we went last week, end of March, My husband order fried oysters, I ordered jumbo shrimp, both were pricey. The oysters were over done, tough. My shrimp was also over done, if it had been taken out of the fryer just 2 minutes earlier, probably would have been ok. They tasted like they had been frozen. No seasoning. I have recently eaten here for the first time with my dad and I must say that this place is the bees knees!! We ordered the seafood platter to split with an order of fried pickles. The fish fillets were so light and fluffy, clam strips were tasty, as was the shrimp. The pickles were a hit as well! I will tell every person, stranger, friend, family member about how awesome this place is! It looks slightly shady on the outside but don't let that fool you! Also, the owner (I'm assuming) was extremely helpful and checked on us a few times to ensure we were satisfied and having a good experience! We arrived at 5 on a Monday and were the only people present. So that is why I feel it necessary to tell as many people as possible about Sun and C's! Hands down best seafood and service!! the food was okay but the attitude of the people there was extremely bad. I tried several times to justify the cost but never could the food was really too expensive for what it was I left there hungry because the portions were too small I found with it being a local business the food would have been better and the portions would have been large enough to satisfy my Hunger. overall it was an OK night but I believe that I Won't Go Back. I want to feel pleased when I go out to eat and know that I am supporting local people but I feel as though the prices here were not justified by the portions that I received I did not like the attitude of the people there either. read more

Really really good catfish in a cornmeal batter. Equally good french fries. As good as it gets. Huge amount of food for the money as well. Doesn't look like much inside but boy does the food deliver. Ridiculous amounts of very good food. We were on the way to another restaurant for fish, but traffic was bad so we stopped here. Glad we did. I ordered the crab cakes. When the plate arrived, I saw two very small, scrawny, smashed grey-looking things that were the crab cakes! Stunned, and having already paid, I determined to eat them no matter what. The texture and flavor told me they had been fried, and fried HARD. The flavor was disgusting and had a hot seasoning to it. The waitress was very nice, and kept our table cleared of the plastic and paper tableware and containers. My dinner companion had the salmon, and it was not quite as bad as the excuse for crab cakes. If you really love seafood as we do, this is NOT the place to go. The food quality is below one star, and the preparation is utterly lacking. The atmosphere is cheap, but the food isn't! The $14.99 I was charged for the POOR EXCUSE for crab cakes is stunning! It wasn't worth $5.00. I can't say enough bad about the entire experience, other than the waitress was nice. Oh... And we waited at least five minutes before anyone would recognize we were there to eat, standing the whole time in front of two workers up front. This place was a waste of money, a waste of time, and a waste of what we anticipated to be a lovely evening of our favorite type of food. read more
