We really wanted to try this place and finally did on a Monday night. They have an Open Table waitlist, so I jumped on that when there were about 12 parties waiting. It took about 25 minutes for our table to be ready which is pretty legit at 5:45pm. The inside is super cute and the decor is bright and friendly. I enjoyed checking out all the cute touches and artistry! The food came pretty fast. I would say this sushi is pretty mid if you're comparing to high quality, fancy sushi. But for AYCE, it's great! For $30.99/person, we definitely ate our money's worth! I think in total we ordered like 7 rolls, 8 pieces of nigiri, and 6 different side dishes. Sesame balls, tako yaki, cheese wontons, were all subpar. The jalapeno bomb I would not recommend - it was overall just strange and not what I was expecting. There was like a weird meat mixture deep fried with the shell of the jalapeno. I would definitely order the Truffle White Tuna and Crispy Spicy Tuna side dishes again. If I could give chubby fish a 3.5 star I would! Overall, the experience was good. My cousin and I went in on a Thursday evening around 7 PM and it was packed! They do not take reservations, but they do take call ahead so we got on the list 5 o'clock but the table wasn't ready until seven. So definitely plan on waiting if you don't get there by opening. As far as for the food It's all you can eat sushi for about $37 for adults. Everything came out quickly and most of the food is shareable. If you are a sushi connoisseur, I will say this is probably not the place for you. The quality of the fish was what you would expect for an all you can eat spot. Not bad, but not great. But overall, everything was good. Our server was great. She was very knowledgeable and sweet. She was attentive for how busy it was. There were lots of big parties and birthdays going on. The sides and apps were amazing! The sushi, mid. The parking is horrible! It's a small/medium lot that shares with the surrounding businesses. Try to carpool or go on a weekday when it's less crowded. I will start by saying, sushi is not my favorite thing but my friends love sushi and for all you can eat pricing with plenty of apps to choose from I thought it would be fun to go. We joined the virtual waitlist through Yelp and just kept an eye on it. When we arrived we were seated immediately. Our waiter explained how it worked and we began ordering. I started with the steak hibachi and a side of fries! The hibachi was good! Nice flavors and good temperature. The fries were so crispy! I love a crispy fry! I also got a small ramen and it was flavorful and tasted amazing! The sushi rolls were pretty big! My friends said it was too rice heavy and the fish was a little squishy. Since I don't eat sushi I couldn't tell the difference when I tasted it so I took their word on it. At one point our waitress forgot to check on us so we couldn't order more food till she showed up. She got a little busy and I tried getting her attention a few times. Even asked a different waiter if they could track her down or take our next order. When she did finally come back she admitted she forgot to check on us and technically our time was up. But since it was her mistake she gave us an extra 30 mins and took our last orders. I was a little frustrated with this because I didn't feel like I got my moneys worth cause I couldn't order more food cause she forgot about it. Yes the extra 30 min was nice but not enough time to make up for how long she forgot about it. Over all it seemed a little in organized and according to my sushi loving friends, it was mid. Friday afternoon at 4PM there is already a line at the door. The sushi were tasty and we loved the skewers and the appetizers. Cameron was attentive, he provided great service and recommendations. The decor was really adorable and I can see why they are a popular spot. A couple of call outs - the karaage chicken was crispy and tasty but it was cold, Cameron took it back and brought us another serving, still cold. Never had cold karaage chicken at a restaurant before. The sushi rice might have been overdone w the vinegar/sugar mix, the rice was not stuck together but fall apart easy... not quite what I was looking for with a proper nigiri.... The rice to fish ratio was decent though. The avocado roll was creamy and the skewers were the stars of the show. The pork bao bun was yum, definitely ask for cilantro as it's the traditional Taiwanese way of eating a pork bao bun. All in all it's a great spot with amazing service, I can overlook the rice situ and the cold karaage as the other food were tasty and the service was top notch. We played waitlist roulette but ultimately didn't wait long for a table for 4 on a Tuesday evening. The ambiance is super fun, my teen and little kiddo loved it, especially the robot waiter. They do serve All You Can Eat which is nice but I feel that draws in a ton of people which leads to my biggest gripe, the wait. We had to wait three hours to be seated and yes, we were on the online waitlist. It was so long we actually went to another restaurant to get appetizers and drinks until we could get seated here. Then, we had to order the yellowtail sushi three times before they brought it to us (they kept bringing everything we ordered except the yellowtail for some reason). Maybe my third time coming here, and it's still good when you're craving AYCE. I can't say how it compares to other AYCE sushi in Colorado, but I know that their menu variety is what sets them apart. There is something for everyone, especially if you're coming with people who may not be into raw fish. I especially love their skewers; the seasoning on them is perfection. Sakura roll is my favorite of the specialty rolls. Make sure to check-in online to get on their waitlist before you make the drive over because the wait is usually 1.5 hours on peak days like Friday/Saturday dinner. Pretty big parking lot but you may need to park towards the back since spots fill up in this plaza for some reason. Service is quick and waiters are nice. I think this place is overrated for what I've seen on social media. The wait at times can be more than an hour, and coming from Denver and Aurora I don't think it's worth the drive up to Thornton. Also it was a little odd that a party of 3 that showed up after us got a table before our party of 3. The rice on the sushi we had was hard and it took longer to get our drinks than expected the quality of the sushi was sub par and nothing special. The one thing I would recommend tho are their skewers. Definitely would get that again. I was really looking forward to their AYCE sushi and bites. I'm not a huge sushi person but they had some rolls that looked good to me, and I was quite ravenous. My adorable server Ryan was friendly and made sure I was taken care of during my stay, his customer service was spot on. The atmosphere was really loud with just chatter from the patrons. If this wasn't AYCE I would've just taken it to go to enjoy the solace of my car or home. All that being said it got such a low rating from the food. The very first roll I tasted, Golden California Roll, was the best. It was sweet, a smidgeon of spice, and crispy and warm from being fried. The Angry Dragon Roll, human, and pork belly skewer did not meet the mark at all. Whether it was texture, too much crab meat (was cheesy tasting too not a fan) or just simply flavor. I had high hopes and if the food would've been better I could've stuffed myself more. However, being that the food wasn't all that good, I found a stopping point. From my visit Colorado this was one of the best restaurants that I had. I have to say that overall I will highly recommend. They provide a good product given the volume that their model requires. I start my order with a variety of sashimi in the first round, then get more of whatever I think is best that day. A few times all of the fish have been great. There are good rolls and appetizers too. The only thing I wouldn't recommend are the small hibachi portions based on the one time I tried it. Though you could definitely still get a full meal without any of the seafood options if you wanted to. There usually isn't much of a wait on weekdays. It's always super busy and packed, and they don't take reservations, so it's very much first-come, first-serve. Make sure you call ahead to get on the waitlist, or you'll be disappointed. Even then, sometimes I still end up waiting 1.5-2 hours, but it's 100% worth it. All-you-can-eat sushi this good? Where else can you find that? Even with the restaurant being so busy, the service is pretty solid. You're not forced to wait forever for your food. The dishes come out quickly, and the staff are attentive. The vibe is modern and cute, making it a great spot for a fun sushi night. Was curious to try CFS, and decided to take the fam. I joined the waitlist when I left my house for the 45 min drive because I heard the wait could be up to 2hrs but we made great time. I can't imagine waiting that time if I was already at the restaurant though. The restaurant is really loud! We had to yell at each other and I could barely hear our server at first. But we got used to it after a bit. When getting home it almost felt like we had been at a loud concert our ears were still recovering. The tonkatsu ramen was pretty good but more bland than I would prefer. I really enjoyed the pork bun, the tempura sweet potato and fried rice. The milk tea boba was also good. The pint special is nice if you buy a pint you get the second pint for $1 which is awesome. Two beers for $6 is a great deal. But the reason why we came, the sushi, was pretty mid. If you plan on going, JOIN THEIR WAITLIST ON OPENTABLE. I cannot stress this enough. If you've never heard of open table, it's an app to make reservations and find events at restaurants. It's super efficient and the wait list does not require you to be a certain distance from the restaurant which is great. We arrived at 7 pm on a Saturday night and joined their waitlist. We were party #49 I believe and waited around 1 hour 30 minutes to be seated. The don't really have a waiting area for large parties. There's only a 2 seater available at the front which is pretty inconvenient. I would recommend going to a nearby cafe or boba shop to wait before getting the text stating your table is ready. They have a 10 minute grace period so just make sure you're within a 5-10 min drive or just wait in your car. We sat at the sushi bar and ordered within 5-10 minutes. Food came out relatively fast. They also have a monthly special which I thought was awesome. We didn't order anything from it though. We ordered: Soft drink (unlimited refill) Onigiri Miso soup Lamb skewer Takoyaki Shrimp tempura Sweet potato tempura Nigiri (raw fish with rice) Spicy edamame Sesame ball I really enjoyed their spicy edamame. The sauce was a mix of minced garlic and spicy chili oil of some kind. It was spicy spicy. So definitely get it if you love spicy food. Miso came out fast and hot. The seaweed used was kind of fishy tasting though. Not very enjoyable but the broth was warm and nice. Tempura was fresh and crispy. I liked how the thickness of the sweet potato was for the first round. The 2nd round we ordered it came out kind of on the thicker side like a wedge cut and that didn't taste as good. Lamb skewers were fresh and juicy. Definitely a good option. Nigiri was okay. The slices of fish was room temperature which really threw me off. The texture didn't taste too fresh either. Out of everything we ordered, definitely enjoyed salmon the most. Onigiri was alright. Not that great. I would skip. The flavors just aren't really there when I compare it to Japans onigiri from the combini. Takoyaki, I would avoid. It wasn't fresh and flavors were meh. Very sub par compared to what you would get at an actual sushi restaurant. As we were walking out, we noticed the big 4 TV screen was playing one piece so I thought that was pretty neat. I'm sure this restaurant is enjoyable for most people, all of my friends invited me here and I checked the menu for several veggie rolls which had me excited. However, when I arrived and let my server know that I was Vegan they informed me that all of the rice was cooked in dairy milk. I asked if they could make some rice in water for m sushi rolls, in which his manager declined that accommodation. I sat there and was unable to enjoy anything. Then, upon eating nothing, the server accidentally tried to charge me for a buffet ticket. They removed it and acknowledged their mistake. I'll just point out a few things I loved: the pork belly bun, the pork was moist and the sauce was good. The artisan roll, this was my favorite sushi roll!! The garlic butter added a nice flavor, and there was something almost smoky tasting, and it was fresh. The salmon avocado roll, avocado was fresh, salmon had good flavor, just yummy. Lastly: the crab cheese wontons, while I didn't enjoy it that much at first, I started to like that the cream cheese was sweet, however the sauce was not good, it had the consistency of like jello, so I did not eat it. Service: Great, the food came out fast, and I was worried that it wouldn't because there was a 90 minute time limit, and our server was kind and always gave us another sheet if we wanted more food. I knew about the cute interior and robot servers from a local food influencer post. I'd checked out the menu online so I knew it was a great value for the price with a great variety of sushi and non-sushi items to choose from. My concern, of course, was quality. There was a line out the door when we showed up about 20 minutes before opening. That's usually a good sign. And you guys, the photos don't do this place justice - it is SO CUTE AND FUN! There's also ample space between tables - they do a great job of maximizing space without packing guests in. The quality of the food blew us away. They actually undersell their menu. For example, the albacore nigiri is listed as just that, but when it came out, it was soaked in some savory sauce and sprinkled with fried garlic! My son loved the pork belly buns, and everyone loved the green mussels and chicken skewers which had a nice spiced seasoning. Update on my review: Having dined here 20-25 times (and I'm not exaggerating), I've noticed a decline in the quality of the fish over time. I used to be impressed by the value for the price, but unfortunately, that's no longer the case. During my visit last week, the salmon nigiri was not fresh and was quite disappointing. If you're looking for a better all-you-can-eat option, I'd recommend Umai Ya, as their quality now seems to surpass this place. Also, their waitlist system is frustrating and poorly managed. The online system shows your place in line but doesn't provide an estimated wait time or arrival period, which makes it difficult to plan your arrival. When you check in at the restaurant, they might quote you about an hour wait, but then send a text 15 minutes later saying your table is ready, often after you've already left to run errands. The inconsistency makes the whole process inconvenient and unreliable.
