We dined at Blue Fin last night and the service was 1 waitress only doing pretty much everything but make the food. I would give her 5 stars cause she was hustling around, but otherwise the sushi was ok. I would also recommend if they can't find help to just close the restaurant down for dining and just do a carry out business since that seems to be where most of the orders last night were coming from. If you are hungry for some sashimi or sushi, this location is conveniently located at the Stapleton neighborhood. Got plenty of parking and if you are lucky, you can park right at the front. At the time of visit, there were plenty of tables ready but served by only one server. However, lady behind the sushi bar pitched in and things moved lot faster. Over all, ok. The sashimi dinner was ok. Some of the fish was not as fresh as other top notch place but edible. Definitely recommend lobster tempura. Great value for the money! read more

Terrible service. We waited over an hour just to start receiving our food. I ordered 3 sushi rolls, and instead of bringing them out together, they brought one roll at a time every 15 minutes. By the time the last roll arrived, the first one had already been finished for a long time. Dining out should be an enjoyable experience, but the service here made it frustrating and drawn out. Disappointing experience. Came here for lunch with a group of six of us. They had a good lunch special of three rolls for 16. We each ordered our rolls. After a while of waiting the waitress comes back and eventually tells us she messed up our order and they added cream cheese accidentally to all the rolls. I told her I didn't really like cream cheese and would prefer to receive what I ordered and she basically said no. So I had to open every single roll and pick out the cream cheese. Surprising great find. I have tried multiple sushi places and this may become my go-to place. Saw previous reviews that it gets busy at certain times but we went in winter during the work week and good time to go. I don't know a lot about sake but the wait staff helped me pick. She recommended I start with a hot sake and switch to room temp next time. I really enjoyed it and was dry enough for my taste buds. Rolls We selected 3 rolls to share between 2 people. Just the right amount of food for 2. Would try an appetizer and less rolls next time. When we got there for Sunday night dinner, you can tell they were understaffed. There was a line of four people waiting to pick up their pickup order and it took us about 20 minutes, waiting in line for the hostess to acknowledge us. We finally got a table for the two of us. We ordered a bunch of sushi rolls and a bunch of Nigri. Our waitress joseline did her best but she mentioned she was new and one of the other waitresses called in sick. Anyways, it took us a long time to place our order and even longer to get our food. We also ordered edamame and even that took over 30 minutes to come out. The sushi was just ok. A few of us stopped in for dinner last week. The facility inside was clean, the outdoor patio area was clean and inviting as well so we opted to sit outside. We ordered miso soups, edamame appetizers and hot sake. We received all of those quickly but once we put in our sushi orders, it seemed to take ages. It didn't look insanely busy inside so we couldn't quite figure out the delay. The food came out and it was presented on a big "boat". Everything tasted pretty good but after sitting outside for 2 hours we ate quickly as we were getting cold and hadn't expected the wait. Nothing terribly special or memorable, unfortunately. SIPS: Whenever I have sushi, I opt for a nice cold Sapporo to wash it down. Upon ordering the large Sapporo, I was disappointed to find that it was bottled versus draft. SPACE: Outside there's a mid-sized sidewalk patio for warm sunny days. Inside, the space is very large and modern. Though, it feels very cold as there's lots of glass and granite throughout. SERVICE: Our interaction with the staff was pretty minimal. As the only diners in the restaurant at the time, I figured they would've checked back with us. While I have a few other places I prefer over Blue Fin Sushi Bar, it was an "A-OK" experience in my book. read more

Personally I don't like tempura rolls, however, the fish in the House Roll was very fresh. The other two rolls Hot Girl roll and the Seared Salmon Tar Tar was out of this world good. Also 15/10. Recently someone asked for a good sushi restaurant in the Central Park neighborhood. Besides Misaki in the Stanley Marketplace, BlueFin Sushi probably will be a safe bet. It is conveniently located at the town center of Central Park with a nice modern decor and plenty of seating. The selection is comparable to other sushi places in town, with daily fresh catches, occasionally they will have rare species of sashimi (which match perfectly with their fresh wasabi) and some of their one of the kind fusion style sushi rolls are also quite sought after. I tried the baked B.1 Roll for the first time today and it's a new favorite. Great flavor, balanced, and the texture was perfect. The presentation was gorgeous. Our plate looked like something from a magazine. The staff is genuinely friendly, checks in at the right moments, and offers helpful suggestions without any pressure. I have worked in some of the best sushi restaurants in America. I know all about that niche and am therefore a snob when it comes to sushi-related meals. That being said, Bluefin sushi melted my brain in the best way. The employees were very welcoming from the moment I stepped through the door. Their miso soup and ginger salad were the best I'd ever had. I'm aware that's a funny statement to make because they're just appetizers but you'll just have to see for yourself. The rest of the food was also amazing. They had Otoro (bluefin tuna belly meat) at a very reasonable price. Most places have it way more expensive as Otoro is a delicacy. Their citrus salmon was perfectly cooked and their chirashidon was exactly what I wanted. Our server was a blond women of Asian descent and she really knew what she was talking about. Professional and friendly at the same time. We came back the very next day to show our friends this place. Please do yourself a favor and go try it. read more

I came here with my mom and boyfriend and we got miso soup, kani salad, albacore nigiri, volcano roll, pink lady roll, dragon roll and the lemon tree roll. I thought the quality of the fish was great and the rolls were really fun! The miso soup has more ingredients than a typical miso soup but I liked it and the kani salad was the best one I've had. Seemed to be staff confusion with previous to-go orders and walk in orders. Bit of a wait but the food was as expected. I am a vegetarian so that does limit my choices. Still avocado and cucumber should be the same everywhere right? Portions were decent. Flavor was decent. Unsure if it was the rice or seaweed but the sushi overall was meh. Yelp is usually a pretty great aggregate vibe and quality wise but this was just ok. If I was in the area and wanted sushi I'm sure I'd stop in but you also have so many other sushi options nearby so why not roll the dice. For a spot to meet friends after work and grab a drink and talk it works better in my opinion. Maybe grab a roll or two to snack on.
