Service was friendly, fast and food was delicious! I know it's not a big thing, but I do like how they put the "to go" boxes out so you can just grab your own and not stand in line.

First-timer and we'll definitely be back! Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior. Cool atmosphere and vibe with great burgers and friendly service. Try the fabulous "Chubby's sauce" to go with your beer battered fries.

This was my first time in this restaurant. I had the Utah burger, beer, battered fries, and Shared, a cinnamon scone with the table. The burger was excellent. It had a potato bun that was thin, but not too thin. It was great because there wasn't a ton of bun and it didn't overwhelm the burger. The burger was cooked perfectly and the fry sauce was delicious. The scone, which didn't seem like a scone that I've ever seen before, but it was delicious. They're deep fried with cinnamon and some type of frosting on it. The establishment has a lot of charm to it, and the people were really friendly and helpful. Definitely coming here again.

This was a great choice for us to stop for lunch while we were stopping overnight in St. George, Utah. It's a locals favorite. Very reasonable prices and they have a great selection of hamburgers and seem to be known for their beer battered fries! The chicken is also delicious, plus they make a terrific variety of dipping sauces, such as jalapeño ranch. This will be our food stop from now on! They have many more in Utah in the Salt Lake City area. Highly recommend

I had the buffalo chicken salad and it was divine! The decorations are very unique & it's a really cool place to eat at! It's a sit down place where you order at the counter & they bring you your food, so definitely not a place to go if you're short on time, unless you get take out, but if you have a moment, I would HIGHLY recommend it!

We are not from around here and we stopped by chubby's Café and OMG. A must if you were in the area. We actually had the Hawaiian burger, but they have a really big menu and battered fries. Those were excellent as well. Definitely a must Stop by and eat place. If ever back in St. George, I would definitely stop by again.

Unfortunately, a big disappointment. The fish and chips serving was paltry, overcooked and tasteless.

I'll be honest, "authentic Greek street food in Utah" had me intrigued. I wanted this to be great…read more Growing up in Maryland, I had Greek friends in high school, so I know the kind of food Greek families can absolutely throw down. Because of that, maybe my expectations were a little high, but this just did not get there. I ordered the souvlaki, and it was the biggest disappointment of the meal. The portion felt light, maybe six pieces of meat, and while the meat itself and the pita were perfectly decent, the sauce was strange and not in a good way. It tasted nothing like what I have had at Greek restaurants, church festivals, or anywhere else Greek food is done right. It threw the whole thing off. The Greek salad was also underwhelming. It was basically cucumbers, small tomatoes, red onion, feta, and house dressing. Simple can be great, but the dressing felt flat and did not bring much flavor to the plate. The surprise star was the fries. Genuinely very good. Crisp, flavorful, and probably the most satisfying thing we ate. The gyro was the best actual entrée item. The meat had good flavor, and I enjoyed it, but even that landed in the "solid, not special" category. Service was another mixed bag. Our wraps came out first, then the salad a couple of minutes later, then the fries another couple of minutes after that. Not a dealbreaker, but it made the meal feel oddly pieced together instead of like a restaurant had the timing figured out. We came in around 2 p.m. on a Sunday, after the lunch rush. There were only two other customers when we sat down, so it was noticeable. By the time we left, the place had filled in some, but it still never felt overwhelmed. One other thing worth mentioning: they were promoting a "leave a review, get a treat" deal, which always makes me a little skeptical when I see a pile of glowing reviews. That does not mean every positive review is fake, but it definitely makes me wonder how candid some of them really are. Overall, this was not terrible, but it was definitely disappointing. When you put "authentic Greek" on the table, I am expecting something with a little soul, a little punch, and a little confidence. What we got was mostly just okay. If you go, get the gyro and the fries, and keep your expectations somewhere south of the Aegean

From the moment we arrived, every dish was exceptional. The salad was fresh and beautifully prepared, the pork belly was absolutely outstanding, and the steak was cooked to perfection with the most incredible seasoning. Every bite was memorable. The biscuit was unreal--warm, comforting, and honestly one of the best I've ever had. What touched me most was the homemade ice cream. One spoonful instantly brought me back to childhood memories of my dad making homemade ice cream for us when we were kids. It was such a special and unexpected gift to relive those moments. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was our server, Parthee. She was absolutely amazing. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made us feel so welcomed and cared for. She didn't just provide excellent service--she made our night. Our family has been through a lot, including the heartbreaking loss of my sister. Father's Day hasn't always been easy for my sweet dad since then. This evening gave us something precious: a new happy memory together. Parthee, thank you for your compassion and for helping create a beautiful moment for our family during a difficult season of life. We are so grateful, and we will never forget it.

We placed our appetizer and drink orders and later dinner. We simply ordered the trout, crab Mac and cheese and I ordered the duck. The Water Mellon Pork belly came out first. The pork belly was tough and hard not like times past. We really needed a steak knife and 1/2 of the 2 portions we ordered was not edible. The trout and crab mac came out and I waited and waited not 10 min but nearly 30 minutes for the duck. I spoke to our waitress and I think the manager and they kept saying it takes more time to prepare. At about 25 minutes I canceled my duck as my wife and friend were done with their meal. I was given just excuses and no explanation. I suggested that since they KNOW the duck takes longer to prepare they should have started that first. I was told by the two I spoke too that they put in the order and it's started in that order so my duck was last. So the so called Chef's who should know the duck takes longer blew it along with the wait staff. In every restaurant setting I've been in, the chef would to start what takes longer first so the table of two or more would be served at the SAME time. But not here at Wood Ash Rye. As mentioned this was one of at least four other times here. But in our years absence, the familiar faces were gone, the so called Chefs looked like line cooks and the wait staff was clueless on how to make things right. Sad....we won't be back.
