We have been fun pass members for over a year now, we visit at least once a month. Usually, everything is great, this visit they really dropped the ball. Normally I wouldn't mind, but it was the reactions I got which made me leave this review. I ordered buffalo bites and there was no buffalo sauce on them. I asked the attendant if she could toss it in buffalo and she asked if I'd be OK with the side because it's a lot of work. I don't understand how a 30 second tossing seems a lot of work, especially when I ordered it that way. Also, the way they cut the pizza is horrific. Chuck E. Cheese was founded as Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre in 1977 by Nolan Bushnell who created one of the first computer video games Pong and to support it, he co-founded Atari. Fun fact, one of the first people he hired to work at Atari was Steve Jobs. When creating Chuck E. Cheese Bushnell sought to make arcade video games family friendly. The restaurants animatronic show was inspired by Nolan's love of the animals of Disney's Bear Country Jamboree and Tiki Room and pizza was chosen to serve because he liked it and it was easy to make. The first location opened in San Jose, California and it was the first family restaurant to combine food and and family games. Chuck E. Cheese began franchising early on and as of 2020 they had over 600 locations in 47 U.S. states, four Canadian provinces, and 3 cities in Puerto Rico. They are headquartered in Irving, Texas. The restaurants are named after its mascot, Chuck E. Cheese. Bushnell originally purchased a coyote costume and gave it to his staff to make the mascot. They thought it was a rat and Bushnell decided to go with it and name his restaurant Rick Rat's Pizza. He was talked out of putting rat in the name and instead called it Chuck E. Cheese, The E stands for entertainment. Each restaurant had child centered arcade games, amusement rides, ball pits, crawl tubes, and a character stage show. When you played the games you got tickets for prizes. It was a relatively inexpensive venue for children's birthday parties and many kids grew up attending parties there. I haven't been to a Chuck E Cheese since my daughter was a child but I got to relive all of the fun with a camp group. There has been a lot of changes since my last visit over 15 years ago. Instead of just pizza the menu now includes items like wings, cheesy bread and unicorn churros. Another thing that stood out was how bright and clean it was. Gone is the dark interior and the germ ridden hamster crawl tubes and ball pits. Covid caused Chuck E. Cheese to file bankruptcy and you can see one of the legacies of the virus is that everything can be easily cleaned. Chuck E. still has the band together but instead of the old show, their performances are broadcast on screens throughout the restaurant along with other Kidz Bop type of performances. We started out with a pizza lunch and it wasn't bad! Adults got a very nice salad bar along with a Hawaiian and meat lovers pizza and unlimited drinks. The staff was very attentive and nice. After that it was on the games. I had a blast playing along with the kids. We are all given unlimited timed game cards. Another change is that the machines no longer spit out tickets. They are electronically put on your card for prize redemption. They had Pac Man and all of us adults of a certain age had a nostalgia fueled session. I also had fun challenging the kids to video games, skee ball, whacking minions, and shooting hoops. There was a wide variety of games and a few little rides which appealed to everyone. A couple of the games weren't working but there was more than enough to keep a large group busy. The kids had a great time and even as an adult I had fun too. I used to hate taking my daughter to Chuck E. Cheese but the changes have made this place so much better. If you have older kids you might want to consider Dave and Busters but for the pre teen set and younger this was just about perfect. read more

We were here for a birthday party and it was crazy fun for the kids. Each family got a wristband with a card to use at each game by holding the card to the electronic reader for one play. Not all the games worked so not sure why that was, but we just moved on to the next game. The games no longer give out tickets but the cards collect digital tickets for the end at the prize counter. For the party, we were at the back of the store with really long tables for each party. It was a Saturday and there were four parties happening at once, each separated by two tables each, which was nice separation. I think it would be easier just to remove one of the tables to create more space since it does feel a little cramped at times. Pizza was good enough and the cake provided was tasty. There were not any garbage cans nearby, which I thought was odd, but the staff came by quickly to pickup trash often. It was a fun time and we will be back. read more

The West Boca location is clean, well lit, well maintained, and the pizza is delicious. This location is quite large and has a more expansive toddler section than most. EVERY employee I've come in contact with the 6-8 times I've visited has been courteous, helpful, and very friendly! The birthday parties run efficiently, and are so easy for the parent. I love that we have our own attendant, and whoever dresses as Chuck is incredibly patient with the kids and the many pictures. I can't say a single negative thing about this location. My daughter had a party scheduled at another facility at 1139. They called and cancelled at 10 am. I called Chuck E. Cheese and asked if we could come in. While they couldn't take same day party reservations, they told us to come in and they would help. When we got there Shy and Christine were amazing!!! We likely had a better party than we would have had at the other facility. The manager came to check on us a few times as well. I can't say enough about Chuck E. Some games didn't work but it's alright, pizza was alright, nothing special or brag worth, but the man running the counter has been messing with the same customer for over 45 min now and has created a huge line, my kids and I just wanna leave but they have 1000 tickets and wanna get toys, tried calling the store and watched this man hit the end call button every time I called. I'm not sure if he's flirting with them, they're smiling at each other so it can't possibly be an unpleasant situation. Idk if he's the manager, I sure hope he's not, but NO ONE else is working apparently, there's 5 families with 2 or more kids looking to spend tickets and this man is still just messing around with the same people. Cleanest Chuck E. Cheese's I have ever been to. This place is huge and packed with games and small rides for all ages. The staff is super attentive and surprisingly nice. The prices are fair and my kids always have a blast and I must admit I do too, especially since I can let them run around and do what they want, while I sneak away and play some games on my own. I spent my childhood at Chuck E. Cheese's so it's fun to go back as an adult and let my inner child out for a while. The only thing that keeps me from giving it five stars is the fact that I had to find a staff member and get tokens back for four games that didn't work while we were here. I can't stand ruining a good time and it definitely isn't ideal to have to stop having fun and go complain and wait for help. This location has been here when I was a kid and now I come here with my own kids. It's decently clean, however the bathrooms are often not. The food is better that why I remember it being but the lunch buffet is rather disappointing. The salad literally consists of lettuce and dressing and there's a variety of 3 pizzas; cheese, pepperoni and which ever they put out. My kids have a blast here. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have two sections separated by seating, a younger kids side and older kids. The younger kids side has two playgrounds which once again one entertains an older child and the other is for young toddlers. I usually bring my son to this Chuckee Cheese location because it is close and convenient. I'm not a big fan of the place, but my son always has fun in there. So to keep him happy, I try and take him a few times a year. I like the Chuckee Cheese prices a lot. $10 can keep him fully entertained AND engaged for about an hour. If you have kids you know how key that is. But I think this only works with children under 5 because the games in there are really out dated. I think kids over 5 would get bored very fast. My son really likes playing the arcade basketball and football games, which is the main reason we go. The only problem is that the adults like playing those too and most of them have no regards for the little ones waiting to play. I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the price and they do their best to keep it clean most of the building have very carpet.Mostly everything in there is out dated and old. The staff is not at all engaging either! I was there for an hour I don't think I saw any staff members anywhere on the gaming floor. But I don't expect much because of their prices. read more

My family had a horrible experience with one of the managers at this location. Literally one of the most frustrating experiences we have ever had at Chuck E. Cheese ! Our girls and our nephew had to leave empty handed and did not understand why after the store "manager" refused to give them their toys that they were entitled to with the tickets they earned. This was all because we did not move from a table (that did not say reserved) because we were feeding our infant who has feeding difficulties. The manager also went on to tell my husband, "if you clean your own table maybe i will give them their prize." Mind you, we were cleaning up our own plates. I was very excited to be invited to my Great Nephews 2nd birthday party here, love the place and haven't been here in awhile. What a disappointment the experience was, place was dirty and took forever to get our food and it was cold. There was many tables that were dirty and sat there for over an hour before any came to clean them. I went to the rest room and OMG so nasty, paper all over the floor and toilets were gross. I have fond memories of Chuck E. Cheese - playing on the big cheese wall, ski-ball, cashing in 500 tickets for one piece of candy. Maybe I'm too old, maybe it's changed, or maybe this location just sucked, but this is not the Chuck E. Cheese I remember. The food - Our pizza took forever. When it came it was greasy, but actually tasty. I ordered the unlimited salad bar. They gave me one plate so I couldn't share my salad with anyone, disregarding the fact that it is completely unsanitary to take a used plate back up there. My salad greens were brown, the ceaser dressing was blue cheese, and there was no spoon for the croutons so I can only imagine how many hands were in there. And they served wine....and by wine they meant white zin. The games - I came here with my 3 year old niece so I watched here ride some rides like the carousel, the giant horse, and the car, and climb on the hungle gym. She loved the spider stomp game and some of the more kid friendly driving games. I gotta say, I had a great time playing ski-ball and whack a mole as well. But I was really annoyed by the fact that the squirt gun game (you squirt water at a hole to make your side light up, whoever's light is done first wins) was rigged! The left side always wins. After I won once I tried to let my niece win - no luck. So we switched sides so we could end the day on a good note. It's not the Chuck E Cheese of my youth, but kids will enjoy the games and the pizza is still pretty tasty. Plus each game is still 25 cents, which makes for a pretty cheap outing. read more

About three weeks ago I purchased two 1 hour cards. It was not made clear to me at the time that both cards needed to be used in the same day and that condition was not on the coupon we used to get the deal. I just returned yesterday with my daughter and the card said low balance. Management seemed incredibly apathetic to the issue and said I should have known the card balance was only good for one day. He then refused to give me any credit back on the card. I had to take my crying 5 year old out of the place and the guy didn't even pretend to care in the slightest. We are so upset about this experience and want a better explanation on terms applied to the these options. What we thought could have been an awesome quick visit to a care free afternoon then turned into both of us in tears and a life lesson on how to care for other people's feelings when they are visibly upset. We have been to this location a number of times and seem to have gotten lucky in the past dealing with the young kids that work there. They seem to go above and beyond to make us happy. This is the first time where no one even tried to verify that my children were mine by checking our stamps on the way out. The employees were standing right there but did not check us.
