Well we waited over 40 minutes for our pizza. There was not enough help here and the manager was doing his best being yelled at by customers for the problems here. This seems to be a corporate issue as I found out there is only 1 oven working here. How in the heck can you function with 1 oven??? That's crazy!!!! Had a birthday party here for our 4 yr old a few weeks ago and all the kids had a blast! One thing that surprised me was the pizza. I was very surprised. It was fresh, thin-crust, and delicious. Terrible service. We ordered pizza and a family sample platter on a Monday night. Not many families here but waited 40 minutes for food only to be disappointed by the platter. 2 pieces of celery, 4 small chicken nuggets and zero fries. We asked the server is that small plate was really supposed to feed 4 and he said he didn't speak Spanish. We speak Spanish and tried to ask him again but he walked away. Asked the girl running register and she said yes this tiny serving was correct. We asked about the fries and waited another 10 minutes for those. Chuckie cheese video came on counting down down 5 minutes until he came it to do ticket splash. Got down to zero and no chuckie cheese. Disappointing all around! Walked in here for the first time, I had heard bad things about this location but decided to give it a try. We walked in and the lady up in front was nice and seemed to interact with the kids well enough. We moved to the register to order our food, same great service from the cashier. As I went to the salad bar, it was so bad! Most other containers were empty and mixed in with all the ingredients and melter ice in there. So almost an hour later and still NO FOOD! We went to ask and the girl said she would check on it & then said it was because they were busy. Not an excuse to take an hour to make a large pizza. DONT GO TO THIS LOCATION. From the minute we walked in we experienced a less than desireable time. I was told that "I (the) am the only cashier and on break for 5 more minutes". So I really didn't expect much from this place as far as food quality is concerned and it met my low expectations. They ran out of pepperoni so I got pepperoni bits on my pizza... which I waited over an hour for... after 30 mins in line waiting to order. Hire more people. My son loves the Chuck E., so we have visited all of them. The Costa Mesa location is too crowded, and the Garden Grove location has a poor parking location and a strange layout. This one seems to be the best, and they always have a cheerful manager who does a great job here. If I could give negative stars I would, pizza took over two hours to get to our table. We only got our food because we went to the counter to ask about our food. When we finally did get the pizzas they were cold. I took the pizzas back and waited at the counter and all they did was just warm them back up.. this place has gone down the drain. We have been going to this location for many years and they are always understaffed and overcrowded. Several games were not working/functioning properly (missing balls, coin mechanisms jammed and out of tickets) but the coin mechanism still takes your tokens. The staff was advised by multiple patrons but did nothing to attempt to fix the problem. They need to maintain their games or at least put out of order signs over the coin mechanisms. read more

Sigh. It is what it is. Chuck E. Cheese appeals to kids, they know their target demographic. My boys love it here. I recently went to this location to celebrate my 6-year-old's birthday. Predictably, the food is meh, the facility is not very clean, and I had to hunt down staff 4 times to remind them my son hadn't done the "ticket blaster" yet. Will I be back? Of course. Cleanest one I've been to, and not crowded. Went on a Saturday at 2 to 4:30 and the crowd was the same. No mocosos running around like at the Garbage Grove location and I think it has more games than the Costa Mesa location. Im a regular at chuck e cheese but i am appalled at the way we were treated here. customer service representative rolled her eyes at me and said i was rude when i asked her to open up another register as i had been waiting for so long and my kids were getting very anxious. then the manager came out supposedly to open the register and i hadnt seen him so he turned to me and says to me 'do you not have eyes and see that im opening the register'. mind you i am a very frequent guest here and have literally spent thousands of dollar over all the years i have been here. all i can say is i feel disrespected and mistreated to say the least. read more

I have been several times this summer with my boys, and I am really impressed with the people that work there. All of the men that I have seen working there are always cleaning and helping people. The staff are always working. I have never seen the staff just stand around and talking or checking cell phones, but instead they are helping the customers. If I need something they are quick to help and I never feel like I a, a burden to them, because they seem to like their job and do great at it. Pizza is SO salty, party platter was the best out of all food selection from the menu but the wings were really dry. After food consumption turned out i had food poisoning. I remember coming to Chuck's back when I was a kid. I guess back then you didn't really care much for service. As long as you had your arcade fun, you were good. Now as an adult, I find myself bringing my kids, and oh boy, this is one horrible place for customer service. Lol. Upon entering, you are welcomed by the counter staff. There you select either your token option, or meal and token combo. They tend to be friendly there, but I'm assuming that that's because they're trained to be the first face of the company that you come across with. Anyways, we ordered Pizza and wings, and they both took between 25-30min to be delivered to our table. It seemed as though the delivery person just slammed the items on our table and quickly rushed back into the kitchen. Didn't stick around long enough for us to ask where our peppers and parm cheese was at. The food was good, and the wings meat came right off the bone. Can't complain there. Once we were done, I stacked our pizza and wings tray and they sat at out table for a good 20-25min, before one of the (I'm assuming) managers came on by, and like a hawk, scooped it right off. You might think I'm exaggerating, but watch NatGeo and the same movement of a hawk snatching it's prey, was the same one this person did. Didn't ask if she could take it, didn't ask if we were done. I used to be a server, and I know it's always common courtesy to ask- ALWAYS! The game machines were alright. Not much variety, and some not working as they should. They don't have much place for the machines they do have, so the place can get quite crowded. The price is a bit steep. $60 got us 80 tokens, one large pep pizza, 4 drinks, and a small order of wings. Not sure why it's so expensive since maintaining the game machines, or keeping the place clean doesn't seem to be at the top of their list. Being a parent, I guess I can only assume that I'll be coming back sometime soon. I'll try to convince my kids that Boomers may be a better option. That, or get em a Disney pass altogether. read more

My husband and I brought my son there a few times. Each time we went, we returned home with food poisoning. Was it the dirty restrooms or unsanitary games that we played? It couldn't have been the fresh salad bar we all ate, right? On our last visit, and I mean our very last time, we refrained from eating. We noticed behind the salad bar, stacked next to the wall in plastic containers, all the ingredients that are placed into the salad bar. This place was so bad. The employees took forever for our one pizza and one we got it the slices of pizza do not match. This sketch me out and thought that the pizza was recycled or not made fresh. I walked up to the employee and ask her about the pizza and she did not answer and walked away. Even when I tasted the pizza, it was okay and I was felling sick after eating the pizza. The arcade machine were legit scams. They only give us a little bit of tickets and at the prize booth, there was barley anything you can get with little bit of tickets.
