I have Sjögren's disease, a chronic autoimmune condition that attacks moisture-producing glands. This causes severe, constant oral dryness and extreme thirst, requiring me to have immediate, continuous access to water.When I tried to enter with my water bottle, I was stopped. I explicitly explained my medical condition and the physical necessity of having hydration on hand. Despite this clear medical explanation, the manager/employee, Jose, refused to allow me to enter. Instead, he gave me an unacceptable ultimatum: I could either repeatedly walk back and forth to my car in the parking lot to drink water, or I could purchase water directly from the venue.Under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), public businesses are strictly required to make reasonable modifications to their policies to accommodate individuals with medical conditions and disabilities. Forcing a customer to pay for water or exit the building repeatedly just to access a medical necessity is a clear violation of public accommodation laws.Manager/employee, Jose and the rest of the front-line staff desperately need proper training on ADA compliance and basic customer empathy. pretty fun if you are smart about "token" spending, it can be fun and not too pricey. they have decent prices for bags of nickels as well. it only has maybe 2 bathrooms, single stall, not the cleanest but useable. can be very loud and overwhelming and service can be slow depending on when u get there. some of the games are incredibly over priced while others at better priced. a good couple of hours for fairly affordable, especially if you have a bunch of nickels laying around. read more

Wow. Visiting here brought back some hardcore memories! I remember coming here with my dad when I was young and lived in California. It is good to see that it is still running strong and still running off of nickels (although most games require more than one). The game selection is actually pretty impressive considering how much you are paying per game. There is everything ranging from casino-style games, to shooter games, to Pump-It-Up (similar to DDR). We had a great time here for about 1.5 hours and paid under $20. You can't beat that! They also have a prize area where you can exchange tickets won from games for physical prizes but we aren't really big fans of those. There were a few games that were out of order which was a bummer but as I mentioned before, we had 1.5 hours of play for under $20. It's hard to complain when the prices are that low. My boyfriend and I were feeling spontaneous and decided to check out Nickel Nickel 5 Cent Games in Garden Grove. They are in the same plaza as Daiso, and for all my Viet people out there Mon Cheri!! Plenty of parking in that lot. There is a $2 admission per person whether or not you plan to play. They will stamp you for re-entry. All the games here operate on nickels. You can buy them in bags of $3, $4, $5, and $10 for equal value. The arcade was on the smaller side. A lot of the machines take on average of 4-6 nickels/tokens. I feel so much anxiety having to pay that many tokens even when it's just a bunch of nickels. I think I prefer those arcades where I just pay for unlimited play and not stress about spending tokens. My boyfriend and I had fun playing games like Time Crisis, Sink It, Skee Ball, a motorcycle riding game, and a few other games. Of the games that gave us tickets, we won 50 tickets. I redeemed a faux red heart ring for 25 tickets so my boyfriend was left with 25 tickets and he redeemed this toy army thing. Cute. This place definitely brings back a childhood wonder. This is such a great arcade to take everyone of all ages. They have pinball machines, claw machines, and your typical arcade games. There's a $2 entrance fee per person, and you can either bring in your own nickels or purchase a bag from them. I opted for the $10 bag which was plenty to go around. We had an overall okay visit at Nickel Nickel, but one part of the experience could've been handled a bit better. About 30 minutes before closing, while we were sitting and waiting for our children to finish playing, we were asked to get up from our chairs, so an employee could vacuum the front door rug. There wasn't any other seating available, so we ended up just standing and waiting, which wasn't the most comfortable way to spend the rest of the time waiting. Especially given that after they were finished they just left the vacuum there and left. I'm general the pin ball machines are ways out of order or one clicker is always stuck on the ones that do work. Many games out of order. Not a huge issue, but it did take away from what was otherwise a decent visit. Just something that could be handled a bit more thoughtfully in the future. read more

Came with a group of at risk youth, as a youth myself I was disgusted by the way the first girl looked at our group as we approached the front door. We got in line and were waiting for our coordinator to get information and pay. We have done this field trip a few times in the past with an even bigger party number. After waiting for ten or more minutes back in fourth trying to compromise, the lazy employees didn't find a probable reason as to why they're denying us service. Wow this place is pretty incredible. I never would have thought that you can still play some high quality arcade games for 30 cents. Normally if you were to go to Dave & Buster's or another arcade it easily can cost you way more than that to play a single game, but they would hide it in a swipeable card so you really don't know how much you are spending. I really like how nickel nickel just allows you to put in nickels into the machines. So you know it's a six nickels is what it costs it is 30 cents. There is no scam or no hidden fees. It cost $2 to enter per person, and you can easily load up on nickels. I'm not sure what you can get for the tickets, but you can get vouchers for redeeming the tickets to save for a future time. Great place to bring young kids. Think of it as a graduation from Chuck E Cheese if your kids are bored of going there. It can be busy at times and there is a small admission charge of $2. Just go ahead and buy the $10 bag of nickels. It will save you from having to go back up to the counter and get more. There are some ticket games and some arcade games. Each ticket game actually spits out real tickets. The place is clean and what I loved about this place is there are plenty of people working the counter and the game room. I visited this place on 7/3 and was greeted by Tanya and got great service from her. Some of the games cost 6 nickels which isn't so bad. It just gives my kids the experience of how video games and tickets were done in the past. You have to be good so you don't constantly have to put in coins. The one big plus is if anything is stuck or broken, you can get an attendant ASAP. Unlike D&B where you have to hunt someone down and waste time. It's a bit of a grind to win tickets but much easier than Chuck E Cheese. Prize counter at Chuck E Cheese is a bit better by an inch or two. Something seems off about the prizes here. There are some inflatable stuff for 1000 tickets and it's a cheap import item. Not really desirable for my kids. My kids settled for the candy and that's all they got.
