Wow. Visiting here brought back some hardcore memories! I remember coming here with my dad when I was young and lived in California. It is good to see that it is still running strong and still running off of nickels (although most games require more than one). The game selection is actually pretty impressive considering how much you are paying per game. There is everything ranging from casino-style games, to shooter games, to Pump-It-Up (similar to DDR). We had a great time here for about 1.5 hours and paid under $20. You can't beat that! They also have a prize area where you can exchange tickets won from games for physical prizes but we aren't really big fans of those. There were a few games that were out of order which was a bummer but as I mentioned before, we had 1.5 hours of play for under $20. It's hard to complain when the prices are that low. The parking is plentiful in that strip mall and it was well-lit enough to make it feel safe. Check this place out!

My boyfriend and I were feeling spontaneous and decided to check out Nickel Nickel 5 Cent Games in Garden Grove. They are in the same plaza as Daiso, and for all my Viet people out there Mon Cheri!! Plenty of parking in that lot. There is a $2 admission per person whether or not you plan to play. They will stamp you for re-entry. All the games here operate on nickels. You can buy them in bags of $3, $4, $5, and $10 for equal value. The arcade was on the smaller side. A lot of the machines take on average of 4-6 nickels/tokens. I feel so much anxiety having to pay that many tokens even when it's just a bunch of nickels. I think I prefer those arcades where I just pay for unlimited play and not stress about spending tokens. My boyfriend and I had fun playing games like Time Crisis, Sink It, Skee Ball, a motorcycle riding game, and a few other games. Of the games that gave us tickets, we won 50 tickets. I redeemed a faux red heart ring for 25 tickets so my boyfriend was left with 25 tickets and he redeemed this toy army thing. Cute. This place definitely brings back a childhood wonder. A few machines were broken, and it was really busy. Nevertheless I wouldn't mind stopping by if I'm already in the area.

The $2 admission fee isn't great, but honestly, this is still a really fun place to spend an hour or two. Every game costs just 6 nickels (30 cents), which is way cheaper than most arcades. They have a sizable collection of games and ticket machines, all priced very reasonably. I only bought $5 worth of nickels and already had a ton of fun. We even earned enough tickets to trade in for a few pieces of candy! Overall, it's a fun, affordable experience--especially great for kids.

This is such a great arcade to take everyone of all ages. They have pinball machines, claw machines, and your typical arcade games. There's a $2 entrance fee per person, and you can either bring in your own nickels or purchase a bag from them. I opted for the $10 bag which was plenty to go around. The games vary from 1 nickel to 6, which is still a great deal when compared to other arcades. The prizes also vary, and I was able to walk away with a bouncy ball & a toy dice with the $12 I spent. Not bad! Parking is plentiful. Staff is helpful and friendly.

We had an overall okay visit at Nickel Nickel, but one part of the experience could've been handled a bit better. About 30 minutes before closing, while we were sitting and waiting for our children to finish playing, we were asked to get up from our chairs, so an employee could vacuum the front door rug. There wasn't any other seating available, so we ended up just standing and waiting, which wasn't the most comfortable way to spend the rest of the time waiting. Especially given that after they were finished they just left the vacuum there and left. I'm general the pin ball machines are ways out of order or one clicker is always stuck on the ones that do work. Many games out of order. Not a huge issue, but it did take away from what was otherwise a decent visit. Just something that could be handled a bit more thoughtfully in the future.

"Manager" on the left was the one to deny us for no good reason. Girl in blue gave our party an annoyed look.

Came with a group of at risk youth, as a youth myself I was disgusted by the way the first girl looked at our group as we approached the front door. We got in line and were waiting for our coordinator to get information and pay. We have done this field trip a few times in the past with an even bigger party number. After waiting for ten or more minutes back in fourth trying to compromise, the lazy employees didn't find a probable reason as to why they're denying us service. Nowhere does it mention party size or calling ahead especially since we've done it in the past. Went in respectfully to ask for a managers name so I can leave it in my review. Buddy thought he worked for a the presidents embassy and didn't even let me talk to his manager. Lazy POS 0 stars

Great way to spend a couple of hours. Very nostalgic childhood gaming experience with a mix of arcade games and ticket games. Majority of my time spent playing dance dance revolution and it was well worth it. Everything is well maintained keeping the space clean and safe for all guest types!

We hadn't been to Nickel Nickel in a few years! It's still a great family outing for a great price!

Think of the best parts of Chuck E Cheese, that's what this spot felt like to me! However this was an even more enjoyable experience considering how much $10 can get you here!! The place was pretty clean and organized! I'm sure I was there during a peak time but it didn't feel chaotic or overwhelming! Certainly considering this place for the next outing with friends, a date, or a crave for arcade fun!

Definitely worth a visit! It's all about reliving the good old days! My friends and I had plenty of fun as a way to kick back and enjoy some classic arcade memories. What a great spot to bond over a bit of nostalgia and some friendly competition for just $2 admission! The selection of games is fantastic for each play cost, with plenty of competitive options like air hockey, shooting games, and even some old-school fighting games. It's like stepping back in time and rediscovering the 90s and 00s fun you grew up with!

checking it out for a birthday ! First came in and the place was busy! That was okay tho because there was plenty to do! There are a few free games to play that are towards the back what I like is that you can save all you tickets to get something big. They have a party area which is super cute ! They have two sets of restrooms one on the back left and one on the back right!. Most games are 2+ nickles but it is okay sometimes it's worth it. They do off a birthday get in free but it has to be the day of your birthday!

She mentioned that this is probably the largest Kawaii Klaws location out of all the another areas. There are easily 30+ different claw machines in this location. There was enough variety in plushies among the machines, but I wish they had more as there were a lot of commonalities among Sanrio and a lot of bunny inspired plushies. We left with 4 plushies on this visit, the staff working their was friendly and she said she loved my bf's and my energy which I thought was so lovely of her to mention...I asked her name but forgot but she was really sweet.
