The employees here are really nice and helpful. And I like that it's cleaner than the other ones around the area. But every time we come, half of the games are out of order. Very unsatisfied with our visit! Place was a mess when we arrived, no tables had been bussed and had to ask for them to be cleaned. We ordered the lunch buffet, what a joke! If your going to get into something new get it straight first, I know CEC has better organization than this (well they used too). They have four options of pizza with a whack salad bar (nothing like the normal salad bar) and a cinnamon pizza as desert. When we arrived they had very little pizza out, we had a family of 7 so you would think the manager that was just standing there would have jumped into action and had the kitchen make more pizza. Nope, we all got a few slices clearing out everything but the veggie pizza because my kids don't like it and the cook brings out another veggie pizza like 20 minutes after we all got pizza. She quickly bought out the other three types but it was very unorganized. Then my wife is drinking her tea and noticed something floating in her drink, I pulled it out and I'm pretty sure it was fruit fly. After that the wife was so disgusted we decided to leave. We were about to buy $30 to $50 in tokens before this happened. We spent $80 already between the buffet and drinks. Manager not very friendly at this store either. If i was a kid i'd probably rate this better. Food was mediocre to bad, but you don't go here for the food, but for the kids to play. However, they do serve food, and the place was filthy. Tables weren't being cleaned after people were done, so finding an empty table was next to impossible, food all over the floor, and nobody cleaning it. Salad bar grossly overpriced, for the crap they offered on it. And the bathrooms were beyond disgusting. The kids did have fun, and got some crappy prizes for their tickets. I am sooo disappointed in this location and the treatment myself and my coworker recieved. We decided to go there on our lunch break, mind you we have only 1 hour. When we arrived, we noticed there was not alot of pizzas out and the ones that were out were really dry and old like they were sitting for awhile. I asked the cashier "Jazmine" how long the pizza will be done , she said there is none in the oven right now but she will put some in shortly and it should be about 7minutes. Well 7min was great being that we were on a tight lunch schedule. I did find it bizare that it is lunch hour time, we came for the "lunch buffet" and there was no pizzas in the oven already. But ok we decided to wait, instead of offering us a "free" soda or something to drink she made us pay for it, so we paid for the lunch buffet and soda, I thought ok we can have salad while we wait... wrong, if your looking for a buffet salad your wrong, the salad only consisted of Lettuce!! yes only Lettuce, there wasnt even any salad dressings , no toppings, NOTHING but lettuce! not even tomatoes lol . Anyways we waited.... and waited....and waited.... lets just say 7min turned into 30min, which is now our time to leave and head back to work, so i told my coworker lets just get our money back and go. So Jazmine refunds us ONLY the buffet charge of $8.49 and said we had to pay for our sodas $2.68 mind you its the super small kid size too. Are you kidding me? we have to pay for the sodas when it was your fault nothing was ready, and you told us 7min which you lied because it was 30min and her response was " you took a drink from it" OMG lets just say if i didnt havent to go back to work lol. She continued to argue with me, at which point I told her its common courtesy that we not be charged for anything because of your negligence or lazyness in having things ready and for lying to us about the pizza time . I think its a great place for young kids. There are more games and things they can do here compared to boomers, Belmont park or any other arcade. It's also a token each so you dont have to spend much on games and they can pick a toy for prizes which they love! ( even though those toys are super cheap) it's also small enough that you dont have to be super worried about them getting lost. There are however not a lot of variety of food which isn't so bad because their options are what kids would eat and its good for a quickly meal. WOW this business has changed allot from the time I was a kid. Chuck E Cheese's used to have animatronics along with video games. They were all in their seperate place and stayed that way for a reason. This Chuck E Cheese's every thing was really packed, the seating, the games and the entertainment were all packed in to a really small looking place. I was here for my son's birthday and I knew what I was getting in to after reading the reviews. This place is just too small to be a traditional Chuck E Cheese's I know with times business have to modernize and that is fine. However, this is not the Chuck E Cheese's I remember as a kid. The price for every thing was crazy high. Two large pizza's, salad two small drinks and some chicken wings $70.00. ARE YOU FRICKING kidding me? A family of 4 and I am taken for $70.00. I am not happy about that. Next the gaming. It was all right some games up todate and reasonable. Not too many places you pay one coin and you can play. That was a good part. Bad part the game room is pretty small and mixed with the eating tables so when your playing action games like basketball or the virtual games you gota watch what your doing or you could toss a ball in to someones food. Last and my biggest pet peve bathrooms. These business better be glad that I am not a health inspector I would shut them all down for having unclean bathroom facilities. I guess my deal is that the toilets and sinks are used by every one. People carry sickness and all it would take is skin contact on a wet seat and guess what you now have hepatitis. This is one of the cleanest locations I have been to. My daughter always asks to come here and has a blast every time we go. I have been here on a busy Friday night and the manager was friendly and came by to make sure everything was good. I even went back for there on Wednesday for all you can eat pizza from 11-2 and found it was a great deal ! Great place for a kids birthday party. We had my daughters birthday party there on Saturday evening. The place was packed but we had a special birthday area and bought cake, food, drinks, balloons, tokens, pinata and Chucke show. All the kids had a blast.. We held our son's birthday party here and had a really great experience. Great communication from staff leading up to the party. Online booking made planning a breeze. We opted to have party start at 10am as you get extra tokens, plus the venue is cleaner and not as manic at this time of day. Our host was attentive and on the ball. Only one menu item (for the adults) didn't come out on time, but our host gave me regular updates about its intended arrival, so I wasn't upset. The children REALLY enjoyed the party... and so did the adults. Chuck E Cheese schedule the party well, and our party ran like a well oiled machine. My sons birthday was on a Friday and wanted to go to chuck e cheeses to celebrate his birthday. I am aware it closes at 10 but I believe on weekends it should be open a bit later knowing our children love this place and it has great food and we can't forget about the unlimited salad. We were having so much fun, time flew by quick. We didn't get a chance to cut his cake, finish our credits on our play cards and we definitely didn't finish our pizzas. We got kicked out at 10:00 and felt a bit rushed gathering our stuff together. Also, too i dislike the new play card method. Came to San Diego to visit my dad, he wanted to take his grandkids (my babies) here so they could enjoy their last day. Thank goodness they're young enough that they aren't too worried about customer service cause it was terrible. Not a single person working here seemed to care that they were at work. First we ordered two pizzas for the Tuesday special (two one topping pizzas for 22) well my dad and his girlfriend decided on cheese pizza because of lent, and asked if they could just put the second topping on the other pizza since they weren't getting a topping and the manager? I think he was..Told us he would have to charge for it whatever. Food was way overpriced so the fact that we were going to be charged extra for something that should have been included was pretty crazy. Ordered a "family" appetizer sampler, supposed to feed 4 and came with two celery sticks.. were we supposed to cut them in half? The games hardly give out tickets, makes it almost impossible to win good prizes, like I know my three year old is not a crazy good arcade game player but we would play something where you throw balls into a hole, land almost every ball we threw and get only two tickets..!Whaaat? Come on now.. I'm sure that's not a "this location" only thing but still irritating none the less. Then the guy working the prize booth hardly paid attention to us, we asked for a pink ring he hands us purple, had to ask again to give us pink. We were trying to let our daughter chose her own prizes and he kept pushing for us to get something else, very frustrating. I had my daughter's birthday at this facility and question my sanity now as to why?? Not only were homeless people loitering out front--one actually came through the door and mingled among the guest, Without a doubt--this place was over capacity per fire code standards. I could not move. Also, when Chuck E Cheese came out to wish my daughter a "Happy Birthday"---he was accosted by the nasty little heathens partaking of the party atmosphere that were not part of my daughter's party. Anyways, there were SOOOOO many people that I could not see my child blowing out her birthday candles. People were actually stealing pizza off our table?? No, I am not joking. Also, most of the parents had ordered food and did not get it until the kids were done eating their cake. The manager had the audacity to ask us to move so other people could sit down in the party area. Problem with that---all the tables in the place were occupied with families camped out for the day. I had spent all that money and the people who were spending nothing were able to lounge in the non-party area for hours. Bringing in their home made cakes and food from outside sources? I was told this was not allowed. However, these families were sitting there like it was a beach spot for the day. When I complained...guess what the manager told me. The pizza tastes like shxt. The service is horrible. The food comes out late. It is dirty and germ infested. This place is fantastic! There is something wrong with you if you are coming for the food or service. This is not the Four Seasons or the Bellagio. This is freaking Chuck E Cheese. So for all the reviewers who posted a bad review. Just relax! My kid loves the crappy tasting pizza and has a great time playing all the games they have. It's a great way to kill a couple of hours with your kid in an air conditioned environment. The salad bar is not half bad except you might get some cottage cheese on your oranges or olives on your ranch dressing since it's not the cleanest salad bar. Again, their motto is "where a kid can be a kid." It's not "where an adult can be a kid." You are not supposed to enjoy this place; your kid is supposed enjoy this place. Passed by it and my son yelled "I want to go to chuck e cheese" so I said why not ! Haven't took him in a while. Most of the games don't even give you tickets. They won't come out ! So we ended up with $10 spent on coming and only 40 tix so all he got was 2 tootsie rolls and stickers lol. They did mess up my pizza and brought me all cheese when I had payed the extra for pepperoni. Lucky them I was in a good mood so I didn't complain just took it back. I got a beer for myself. Shock top was the only thing that seemed good since they only had 4 options lol. I asked for a regular and they charged me for a big sized one. Not sure if they game me the regular or not but that was a little annoying. Seems like it went in one ear and out the next when I ordered. As long as my kids had a blast I'm happy. I went there lastnight, August 1st, 2012 and went at 6pm. I went while my husband was with our older son at the ultrazone. The check in was fine...but thats where it ended. Took 15 minutes to order. I had a coupon for $2 off a salad bar, she wouldn't honor the coupon because she said she its in participating stores. Most places will still honor a coupon just for the customer service. So I went and got salad bar before I let my two children play. There was no lettuce, so I got condiments and a little wilted spinach to eat while waiting for the lettuce to refill. Guess what, 10 minutes later they put lettuce in. The gal came out with gloves on carrying the container of lettuce. She grabbed the tongs that were in the community bowl while wearing the gloves. She then grabbed a handful of lettuce a few times and put them into the community bowl. Grabbed something below the counter, then put the lid on the container, then reached into the salad bowl one more time...all while wearing the gloves!!!!!! All the condiments were mixed together I then went over to get an unsweet ice tea out of the container that said unsweet. Guess what it was sweet, both containers were sweet. So then we got apple soda out...guess what it was soda water. After that we got lemonade and it was ok., Finally sat down to eat for a minute, I tasted the salad and was almost sick. Decided to not eat much of it after that. Didn't even go back for a second serving. After that as we were leaving there was no one at the exit to check the kids. We made it to the door with my 5 yr old daughter and 18 month old and the guy finally flagged us down to ask us to check our numbers. I could of left with them and without being checked. I have been to this location a few times. I went when it opened yesterday and it smelled horrific! I told the manager and he said it must be the fresh broccoli that was delivered!?! The bathrooms also had a very strong urine smell. I understand that in the afternoon it might smell a little funky but not at 11 am. This is a warning to all families who think that this (or any other) chuck e cheese is a safe place to bring your kids. IT IS NOT!!! There are pick pocket gangs who frequent these establishments because they know that you will be distracted by all the chaos of kids and people. We had my child's birthday party there recently and one person in our group got their wallet stolen, another person had their cell phone taken, and another had a cup of game tokens stolen while they were watching their child play a game! The management showed no compassion when we reported the incidents and what's worse is we found out that they have no security cameras in the place to see what happened. God forbid someone ran off with a child!!! For an establishment that caters to kids and families this is a very poorly run business. I would definately never go there again..... read more

Lat week we attended a birthday party at this Chuck E Cheese and the service was horrible. Upon arrival we looked for the party we attending and quickly found them and had are kids sit with the other kids. there was pizza already there but my wife and I wanted a salad so we went and ordered a the salad bar for ourselves. When we get to the register to order our food the gentleman who seemed to be about 50 behind the counter was very rude. we start by telling him we would like 2 salad bars, 1 beer, 1 wine and $20 in tokens. He was slouched over the register and was very unpleasant. For the bear he asked what kind did i want and i told him what do you have and i could really understand what he said but he said natural so i said thats fine. He then asks what type of wine and my wife says she will take the blush, he turns around and pours a coup through the spout they have and its spitting the wine out like its empty. I would expect him to go refill it but he turns around and gives it to us. My wife and i looked at each other as it seamed it had stuff floating in it but he assured it was carbonation...what carbonation in wine, then i looked at it and he poured my wife a cup of chardoney, we went back to the line and he seamed upset that the order was wrong and we were sure that what ever was floating in the cup was not supposed to be there. Hey buddy if your not happy with your job thats your problem not the customers..you chose that path not me. So with all that hassle i proceeded to get my salad from the most pathetic salad bar i had ever seen...when i saw that they were out of croutons i asked the girl behind the counter if they had any more and she told me she didnt know...what the hell. If that wasnt enough to piss you off my buddy that was also at the party ordered some chicken wings that took about 45 minutes for him to get because the servers failed to walk around the whole place to find there number and when they did the wings were cold.
