Think what you want of the Chuck E Cheese brand, but if you enjoy them and have no issues with Chuck E Cheese like myself, I'm here to say that THIS LOCATION IS THE BEST LOCATION. Many pretentious people who like to think they live in superior areas such as those pretty much anywhere other than East Side San Jose--where this Chuck E Cheese is located, like to discredit how great this one is just because where it's located. I have personally heard people from Milpitas call this location ghetto without any merit but simply where it's located. They probably don't put a Chuck E Cheese in Milpitas because it smells over there anyways. But anyways, I've been to many locations throughout California, and this one still is the best. Right off the bat it doesn't look like any ol' strip mall building that Chuck E Cheese decided to open up in. This location actually makes you feel like you are about to enter something great. This might be the only 2 story location ever. It has that gigantic Chuck E displayed outside. The nice 2 story wide open space just makes for a superior experience compared to the rest. The bigger space also allows for more seating, more games and more arcades. Unless it is super busy you can always find a seat somewhere quiet if you don't want to be in the mix of crazy. Food is what you expect if you been to another location. Again, when compared to all the other locations this is the BEST location bar none. read more

We've been coming here since 2005 and have never had an issue with the wings or pizza. We were enjoying our pizza and wings until we noticed that the wings looked a bit off and tasted weird. I smelled the wing I had just taken a bite of and it legit smelled like rotten chicken. We opened up the rest of our wings with our hands and smelled them and some of them had such a horrible smell that it made us gag from how nauseous we got. We took the wings back immediately to the kitchen staff and we spoke with the manager. He did not apologize and even complained about having to give us a refund. I am sure there is little they can do to minimize the chaos in a place like this. The games are loud as is everything else. The staff does a good job with parties making sure everything is timed well and also the food comes out relatively quick Pizza isn't too great but not the worse. Their sodas are highway robbery. I had a pretty decent time today! They switched to cards that you swipe to access games instead of tokens- which I don't mind but will miss dearly as it was present throughoutthe times I went as a child. The games themselves are okay- just your run of the mill skeeball machines and coin droppers with a couple of unique ones tossed in for variety (piano tiles, crossy road-esque games). The only issue I have (that isn't too big) is that the card scanner is a bit flawed in that you don't swipe; you have to hold your card against the scanner for a good chunk of time and even so, your scan mught not load and you have to repeat the whole process of frustratingly holding your card against whatever machine you chose to play. Tickets are kind of iffy, you don't get that much from a game if you don't know what and how to play it. Prizes are unfortunately "expensive", and you have to rack up a GOOD amount of tickets if you want something nice (I'm talking the higher end of 2000), which also means more money spent (usually) at the parent's expense- but hey, that's how they make money. Overall my trip was alright, the staff were kind and I especially appreciate them letting me take home a good chunk of their Airheads candies- I might just come back soon! read more

Why is it that almost all places in San Jose have terrible customer service? We finished playing today and we went to get some rewards for the points we had, the people who attended us were nice until we go to this guy named " Juan Carlos ", by description he is an old man with attitude. He was rushing us too choose and was being very rude. He was impatient aswell but this was not the case with the other workers. Also on our way out the lady that was there with king nails was rude. Big shoutout to the dude with the jaw length hair, looks young. He was very respectful to us and patient. I can understand if it's packed & busy, but it's a Friday at 1:30... less than 10 kids & this particular Chuck E Cheese person doesn't care to engage the kids other than a quick walk, tossing tickets and a couple high fives. Parents would like to take pics (it's offered in the monologue) and he could dance or SOMETHING...don't dress as Chuck E. Cheese if you can't relate with the little ones. Definitely love the choices of games and prices. My kids love this location for that reason. Cashiers are not that knowledgeable. We got 2 summer pass, sometimes the employee does not quite know what to you or how to use one app for 2 cards. As for unlimited play time. I am noticing the time between it scan of the card is less frequent (the wait time is a lot longer). This makes it not really unlimited play. We would have to keep scanning until the time has lapse before we can play again. Is anyone seeing this? Seems to have gotten worst each time we were there. When complaint, the "manager" dismissed us and was extremely rude. My son loves this place and I can still remember & see some of the super old games back when I was a little girl...like that green alligator 'smacking' game. Not sure what's it called, hehe. Ah yes, Chuck E Cheese ... "where a kid can be a kid"! I entered the building where I spent most of my childhood eating away at pizza, crawling through tubes and blowing out my birthday cake candles. I was taken back that I no longer needed a glow in the dark stamp because I was now, old enough. (Eek!) Everything seemed smaller and it looked basically the same. The new additions of more up to date games were pleasing and get this, every game - one token. My gosh, what a steal! Sadly, TF and I go through tokens like there's no tomorrow. I came here for fun just to relive the good ol days. This location has some really new games which I enjoyed. They've replaced a lot of the old ticket games with more fancy and graphically intensive ones. In addition, there are a decent amount of new arcade games on the second floor that don't give tickets but have some pretty good playing modes and graphics. Overall, still had a lot of fun but the location is a little bit dirty. The pizza and other food isn't great. The ticket prizes aren't anything impressive either. The pricing is great though for the number of tokens you can get - and if you include it with a coupon in the newspaper, you'll get even more! I think it would still be a great destination for kids, but be careful of the crowds, subpar food and staying clean! read more

this location has been here FOREVER!! my parents didnt take me here too often when i was little but that just made our trips to C.E.C THAT MUCH more SPECIAL. i enjoy being able to bring my niece and nephews here from time to time. they always get a kick seeing chuck make his routine rounds and making it rain with tickets. FUN!! not much has changed with this location besides them taking out the ball pit a long long time ago. im not complaining because that seemed to be more of a filthy hazard than anythng else. all the games are just one token so its a great place to get more BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. unfortunately, a lot of the games cheat you out of your coins and sometimes out of your tickets that you rightfully won. if you are lucky enough to flag down a worker they will quickly reimburse your token but thats only if youre lucky. i can let it slide if it happens twice.. maybe thrice... but anything beyond that is just not ok. while a good amount of the games are pretty ancient (they've been there even when i was little), there are new games that pop up periodically. its kind of a nice surprise whenever you see something out of the ordinary. lol food: pizza is small and isnt the greatest but its not the worst either. its edible. its normally on the oily side and comes out slightly mushy at times...but hey!! its chuck e cheese. buffalo wings are yummy. veggies that come along with it can be not as fresh as you would like but when that happens, i just wont eat them. no biggie. salad bar is a rip off.. yet i always seem to buy it. $8/person for a teeny tiny plate that doesnt hold much and should not be shared according to them. there really isnt any way around the petite size, you just have to get baby sized portions and make frequent trips. keep in mind, the salad bar does get extremely messy and it takes quite a while for someone to clean it. read more

This placed changed a lot since the last time I was here which was when I was around 11 or 12 years old or younger (I don't remember exactly). They don't have those HUGE puppets of Chuck E Cheese and his friends playing on stage. The place looked a lot darker back in the day and there were more arcade games upstairs, too. Now, this place is a lot brighter and has fewer arcade games upstairs (there are no more fighting games). The good thing is the games only cost 1 token which is pretty much a steal. Everything looks small to me since I'm older and even the pizza looks small. A small pizza is $11.99 and it's pretty small. Yeah, I didn't want to pay more for a larger size because I didn't think it was worth it. They sell sandwiches here, too. I always thought they sell pizza and buffalo wings only... One thing's for sure: this place is good for kids and they will have fun here playing games and running around. read more

Did not catch her name but she was very much in the emo style with piercings and all. Terrible attitude. One of the worst people I have ever encountered. I took my toddler to this Chuck E. Cheese's yesterday and we both loved it! My expectations were very low because I hadn't been there in nearly 15 years (when I was a child) and I remember my mom always hating it because it was "ghetto, crowded and dirty". I figured I'd feel the same way now that I am a mother (even though I loved it when I was a child!!!) but I felt the complete opposite. I thought it was extremely clean and it is so big so it never felt crowded. We went on a Tuesday @ 11am (right when it opened) and stayed until 2:30pm. I'm guessing that it probably does get a lot more crowded on the weekends/week nights. They have definitely made some changes in the last 15 years and the only change that I was sad to see was that there was only a robotic Chuck E. (his robot band is no more). The pizza was delicious too (I probably ate half of a large by myself!)! I went with a friend and we had both signed up for their E-club so we had lots of coupons for tokens and pizza so I couldn't decide whether Chuck E. Cheese's pizza is a good deal or not. It maybe seemed a little pricey even with the coupons but we got so many tokens so who knows? Definitely sign up for the E-club and take advantage of the coupons. My only complaint about the menu is that the salad bar (which is very small) is $7.99 a person. Ouch! I'd rather go to Sweet Tomatoes! Took our daughter here for the first time. I have fond memories of going to this one as a kid, so I looked forward to going as a parent. Pizza was mediocre, but kids aren't picky about that so it's not a huge deal. I was kind of put off by the prices though. They took out the ball pit and many other non - token costing attractions, which is kind of a drag. There were lots of fun interactive games though and I probably enjoyed playing them even more than my daughter (who was plenty entertained by jamming tokens into coin slots and grabbing tickets) But my main gripe is that they don't have CHANGING TABLES in the men's room. I figured a kid centric place like this would have changing tables in both restrooms, but they don't. Changing a toddler in the men's room is a hassle and it isn't fair to have the task always fall on my wife. read more
