This is just an oversized pizzeria with a room filled with games for kids to play. Most deals come as a package that includes a meal, drink, unlimited games and for an extra cost ice cream. In my opinion it is overrated and definitely targeted for the younger kid. It is somewhat well kept for cleanliness. The staff were very courteous and helpful which was greatly appreciated.

We have visited this location before. This time they seem to be remodeling. The walls were still getting worked on. The stage was closed also. Chuck E. Cheese came out to walk around. The kids go nuts! Of course like most places they seemed very under staffed or it was the managers time off. I told a few of the employees that their restrooms were out of toilet paper and paper towels. No one ever replaced any thing. We visited during a less busy time. By the time we were leaving they started to get busy. My friend stood at the prize counter for a while before getting helped. Then that lady walked away to check in new customers. We had to go back to the prize counter. She stood there for about 10 minutes maybe longer. I noticed a young man standing off to the side in the back. Thinking maybe he was clocking in for the day. He walks right by her. Then he walks over to the main entrance to check in more customers. My friend noticed that he wasn't busy for a few minutes. She went over to tell him we still needed help at the prize counter. We were finally leaving and no one was at the door to look at the stamp they make sure you get when you arrive with children. Sad to see it so under staffed or just not the right employees in the correct locations. Nice to see them updating the inside.

This rating is strictly for the awesome friendliness of current staff (thank you Isabella!), the improved cleanliness, and the hours of fun for my children! We didn't eat here today, but we played games, had some drinks, and got a bag of cotton candy! Paying for games by the time is cheaper than by the tokens. We did 120 minutes for $35 great deal and perfect amount of time for us, our 6 yearold and 14 monthold. FYI Dads the men's restroom has a changing table with disposable liners!

This location just got remodeled and it is looking great. They have tons of new games, pink panther, zombie water shooter, to name a few. My toddler loved the new floor projector which moves Chuck E characters upon stepping on or near it. They have a side full of ride ons for littles which my toddler definitely loves. Staff is always friendly, and of course we got to see Chuck E which is a plus.

My grandson after my birthday party fun fun fun

Great pizza and salad bar. A bit pricey but I was craving a salad bar and it was my birthday. I also went so my grandson would have fun and i had a lot of fun watching him play games. Their remodel uis great very spacious. Thank you!

My daughter who just turned 10 really wanted a party here and so did all her friends. I haven't been to Chuck-E-Cheese in over 10 years and when I read the Yelp reviews for this location, I was highly concerned. But, it's the only one on the Central Coast, so I decided to chance it. I was pleasantly surprised. From the moment we got there, everyone was very attentive and friendly. We were shown our table right away, they helped to put our cake in the fridge, everything was set up, and the manager transitioned us to our party host, Leo. He was fantastic! There is never a time that we needed something where he wasn't around, or somebody else, to help right away. We had pizza for the kids and ordered some for the adults as well, and everybody was surprised how good it was. We didn't have the other appetizer type food, but the salad bar was very fresh, which I was concerned about because I had read that they had gotten rid of it. They haven't, it is there and has a lot of choices. I was also concerned about my 3 1/2 year old because a reviewer mentioned there was nothing for toddlers to do. It's true that they do not have a play structure or a ball pit, which I suppose is disappointing, but my little guy could have stayed much longer and was entertained the entire time just going on all the little rides and playing the games. There were quite a few other toddlers there as well that were younger, and I didn't see any issues with boredom. I cannot recommend enough requesting Leo as your host, he was so wonderful, funny, all the girls loved him so much, he had so much energy, singing & dancing during the birthday song, cutting and serving the cake, everything. The manager checked in with us a few times, and when one of the girls had a scary moment where they choked on a piece of candy, both Leo and the manager were right there, making sure multiple times that she was okay, and even listened to her breathe to make sure. To me, that is above and beyond. Overall, everyone left with smiles on their faces, and we had a great time. Oh, and the bathrooms were perfectly clean, I don't know if maybe later at night they get more used looking from all the kids, but until 3pm when we left they were perfectly fine. For what it's worth regarding all the bad reviews, the manager did let me know after I mentioned the concern about all the bad reviews, that they had sent a manager over from another location to help improve, so I think there has been a huge change. We will definitely be coming back, it was worth the drive from Morro Bay. Thanks for making my daughter's birthday so special!

I was able to find great deals on mini golf and arcade credits through Groupon, which definitely helped. There are tons of fun games, and the kids loved the arcade. They even managed to win prizes from the giant claw machine, which never happens, so that was a big highlight! They also have batting cages and water bumper cars, though the bumper cars were out of commission when we visited. I'd recommend eating beforehand and bringing your own drinks. The food is overpriced and not great quality. That said, the service was very friendly both at the food counter and in the arcade/ticket area.

The website will say "open," but weekday hours don't actually start until 2 PM, and that detail is buried further down. We found that out the hard way after finishing up at the pier around 11 and having to completely pivot our plans (including grabbing food elsewhere to hold the kids over). Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to be aware of if you're visiting from out of town. Once they did open though? Completely different story. We were greeted by Robert -- and honestly, he set the tone for the entire visit. He was the only one up front at first, but you wouldn't have known it based on how smoothly everything went. Friendly, attentive, and actually present. He helped us get set up, handled food, and still managed to keep an eye on everything else going on. And yes -- he made our pizzas fast, gave us a buzzer, and sent us on our way to enjoy the games instead of waiting around. That alone? Huge. We ended up doing the arcade route first, and this is where Boomer's really surprised me. I used a Groupon deal and paid $25 for 100 points, and it just so happened to be one of their half-off arcade days. So instead of games costing 3 points, they were 1.5 -- and the machines actually show you the discount clearly. That's smart business. The card system is also way better than old-school arcades. No paper tickets flying everywhere -- everything loads directly onto the card. And for once, we actually had enough points to get decent prizes. We walked out with a bunch of toys and plushies instead of the usual "you can afford a sticker and a piece of candy" situation. At one point, my son joked that a game was "rigged," and Robert immediately stepped in -- not in a defensive way, but in a "let me make sure this kid is having a good time" way. He showed him how the game worked, pointed out that he had already won multiple times, and turned it into a funny, reassuring moment instead of letting frustration build. That kind of attentiveness stands out. We also tried the go-karts (paid separately), and I'll say this: if you're even considering it, just go for the unlimited option. One round was enough to realize we wanted to get right back in line. The kids had a blast, and even with one riding with me, it was still a great experience. We ended up spending about 2.5 to 3 hours here between food, games, and rides -- and overall spent around $100. For everything we did, that's actually a really solid value. Especially compared to places like Scandia, where you can easily drop $200 without blinking. There was also a giant claw machine with oversized bouncy balls -- both of my boys won on their first try, which felt like a miracle in itself. We couldn't take them with us (overpacked car problems), so we gave them to another family with little ones. Unexpected wholesome moment. Overall vibe: * Not overly crowded (at least when we went) * Clean and easy to navigate * Systems are modern and efficient * Staff presence was light, but Robert carried the experience If I had one note, it would be the hours communication -- that part could be clearer upfront. But once you're inside, the experience makes up for it. We came in slightly thrown off by the timing... and left with happy kids, prizes, and zero regrets. And Robert? Give that man his flowers. He made a lasting impression without even trying to. All in all a great experience and 10/10 would recommend ! BUT THEY OPEN AT 2pm on weekdays ! REMEMBER THAT !

What really makes this place popular is their tournaments that are held almost every day! When I was there, they were holding a Magic tournament. There were tons of people here though, both in front of the store as well as in the far back of the store. There were tons of tables set out with people in the tournament. There was so much that there was an over spillage of people into the tables the mall provides in the middle of the mall! The store seems kind of dark and old, like you're in some kind of basement. The selection of board games was small, but they had popular ones like the Settlers of Catan, Seafareres of Catan, many different variety/themes of Munchkin, and even Monopoly!
