Buyer beware..... I…read morehad a very frustrating experience with AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care. I originally brought my vehicle in for simple preventative maintenance just a transmission flush and there were no shifting issues beforehand. After getting the car back, we immediately noticed the transmission was shifting worse than before. It was clearly not operating correctly, which was extremely concerning considering it had no problems prior to the service. No tow service was offered, I had to pay out of pocket. Communication throughout this process was also very poor. Amy at AAMCO was the only person I ever spoke with, and I had to initiate every call myself. I was never proactively updated. I was told the GM would reach out, but as of today, I still have not received a call. The vehicle was dropped off Monday morning, no one called, I called and was told to call back in the AM. Called the next day multiple times with no updates available. Finally called at 11am Tuesday, was told give her 20-45 minutes. 2 hours went by and I called back and was told there was an issue. Thats when I was told it would cost $2,300 just to diagnose the issue. They told us that the vehicle started throwing codes as they pulled it into the bay. No codes or weird shifting before taking it there the first time. The first invoice states everything looks great, fluid, no codes and run great. The second invoice is where they call out these codes and from there is where it was the deny, deny, deny game. At that point, we decided to tow the vehicle to a dealership for a second opinion. They informed us that the transmission was completely done and would need to be replaced at a cost of $7,600. Going in for routine maintenance and ending up with a failed transmission is unacceptable. Then being asked to pay thousands more just for a diagnosis, along with the lack of communication, made the situation even worse. The poor customer experience and lack of empathy throughout this process has led me to never want to use AAMCO again. I suggest choosing a different shop. AAMCO is not a local small business, and based on my experience, it felt like they cared more about getting paid than what actually happens to your car.

Stormy was incredibly sweet from the first phone call to picking up my car…read more They got me in last minute for an oil change and rotated my tires and changed my air filters. Love the recommended options while checking my car. I think I paid $113 for oil change and air filters with other free things they include but such a good deal for the attention your car needs. This place is so detailed and I will be back!

Instead of taking a scintilla of responsibility "Christian" Brothers has resorted to outright lying…read moreand false information. Their claim that my truck was brought back to them a second time with new issues is ridiculous and laughable. My truck didn't go back a second time, it never actually left, because it didn't make it 20 yards or 2 minutes from the shop before it was clear they hadn't repaired anything the first time as they claimed. The only new issues were the ones caused by their own incompetence, like the new issue of the nitrogen compressor failing because they didn't know what they were doing. Or the new issue of the entire air ride suspension system being completely collapsed when I got there. These were the new issues and they happened while my truck was in their care. David has already admitted their failure to correctly diagnose or repair a single issue with the air ride suspension system. David has already stated that I was owed a refund and that they would cover the full cost to replace the nitrogen compressor but he reneged on that. He is mad because I refused to allow them to continue any further repairs and he is desperate to deflect blame, even resorting to outright lying, because he simply cannot be truthful. This is not only the worst shop I have ever been to but the worst people as well. How low is someone who will resort to blatant lying to avoid responsibility for their own failures. "christians" indeed

Took it back the 4th time, where they said they re-checked all the hoses and they were fine. Now Ford tells me it will be another $2,000 for a new turbo. Took it to Patriot, who located the problem in 5 minutes and had it fixed with in 20 minutes. There was a hose that was disconnected by Ford and never put back on, even though Ford assured me that they rechecked all the hoses.

1/5 Stars - Dishonest Work, Incompetence, and Safety Risks I…read moreleft my truck at Patriot Transmission & Auto for two weeks following a pre-scheduled appointment, only to receive terrible communication, incomplete work, and dangerous repairs. After paying roughly $600, I was forced to spend another $230+ at a different shop to fix their mistakes. Key issues discovered immediately after pickup: Dishonest Billing: I paid for a new thermostat, but they installed a used one that was roughly 9 years old. Safety Hazard: The wiring harness melted due to inadequate repair work. Incomplete A/C: Refrigerant was only filled to two-thirds capacity ($136 to fix elsewhere). Improper Coolant: The system was left filled with red, heavily diluted distilled water ($100 to fix elsewhere). When confronted, they demanded more labor money to fix work that should have been done correctly the first time. Charging for new parts while installing decade-old ones and leaving a vehicle in unsafe condition is unacceptable. Avoid this shop.
