Would not ever use this business again. i thought that they were a good place to get my '86 Ford Bronco transmission repaired. it turns out that they are the worst. i got the work done months ago and still can't get the transmission adjusted correctly. it's always some other repair that they can't do there. i would have never gone to them if i had known that they were so incompetent. Had the transmission die on my 2011 Crown Vic, got stuck in first gear and wouldn't shift. Took it to Patriots and got it rebuilt and back on the road in a couple days. Cost was fair and service was easy, recommended. read more

Got a new transmission. Immediately had issues in the next few days. Turns out it was a used transmission which they never disclosed, with metal debris throughout, also was never programmed. Had to get it flushed and replaced by another shop. Reached out and they were unwilling to refund even a portion. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING. read more

I am so unhappy with this place . I am a disabled veteran on a small veteran's pension and they refused to refund my $3,900 I paid to do a full transmission rebuild . When I picked my 2007 Nissan Xterra up and drove it home the car wouldn't go into 4th gear which is the reason it needed to be fixed in the first place they claimed it was a defective valve body that they had purchased from Courtesy Nissa in Mesa AZ. So nissan said they had to send the car to them to verify the problem . Nissan said the problem was not with the valve body but still went ahead and gave them another valve body just to get rid of patriots transmission so they install the valve body and guess what it still wouldn't go into 4th gear . So then they claim there was a problem with the wiring harness and sent my car back to Nissan and guess what ? You guessed it Nissan said there was nothing wrong with the wiring harness and told me they recommend replacing the transmissionwith a new or remanufractured transmission because Nissan doesn't rebuild transmission in shop they only install them so I asked patriots to refund my $3,900 and they said Nissan didn't know what they were talking about and demanded I take it to a different Nissan dealer o told them they would have to pay for the tow charge and the diagnostic charge and they refused to Pay or to refund me my money . I told them I was having Nissan replace the transmission and for them to remove the parts they purchased and installed and they refused to do either and they would see me in court . I had Courtesy Nissan replace the transmission and it works great they gave me a 3 year unlimited mile warranty . There was nothing wrong with my electrical harness Adam at Courtesy Nissan was so helpful and it was worth the $6,400 I had to pay to have the real professionals do the job right . Now I'm in process of filing court papers to sue patriots . This is how they really treat our countrys veterans so beware of patriots transmission. read more

They ended up replacing my transmission two times because it wasn't done the correct way the 1st time. Then they refused to replace it a third time because they swore my truck had electrical problems, which it never did before it went in. Yes I had to pay someone else to do the 3rd transmission job the correct way. Almost 7k for 2 bad transmission jobs from this place then I paid someone 2k to fix what should have been fixed in the beginning.... and who knew I never needed a new wiring harness like they claimed i did.. all I'm gonna say is I'd be careful if I were you. That's just my personal experience with these people. read more

After having my car at the Ford dealer 3 separate times for a total of 10 days and $3,000 later the problem still wasn't fixed. Took it back the 4th time, where they said they re-checked all the hoses and they were fine. Now Ford tells me it will be another $2,000 for a new turbo. Took it to Patriot, who located the problem in 5 minutes and had it fixed with in 20 minutes. There was a hose that was disconnected by Ford and never put back on, even though Ford assured me that they rechecked all the hoses. read more

Very disappointed with this shop! Took our car in for what we thought was a simple repair-changing out a sensor. The car came home making a new noise-sounded like they removed the muffler. We took the car back and they claimed it needed $600 worth of repair. (Mind you, my parents are elderly and on a fixed income so I paid the fee to fix the noise that never existed until Patriots touched it.) My dad brought the car home and I started and it still sounds like a hot rod. We took it back for the 3rd and final time, spoke w Rod and explained the noise. He said that it was a coincidence that the noise started after they replaced the sensor. They kept it for 24 hours, called my dad stating it was ready. Low and behold they failed to fix the noise. The car use to run silent, now it sounds like a hot rod! So now I have a horrid sounding car and I'm out $600 for a repair that probably wasn't even needed. Shame on them! read more

In April of 2014, I bought my daughter a car from this place. I thought that buying it from a mechanic would be a good idea because the car would be inspected, looked over and fixed. What a lie! Worst place to go for anything. they do not stand behind their shoddy work. left me stranded in Tucumcari n.m. then told me to drive it to Albuquerque, 180 miles away. IT WOULD NOT HAVE MADE IT AND WOULD HAVE LEFT ME STRANDED ON I40.. After they had 3 attempts to correct it before I left for my trip. I am should be allowed to have shop in Tucumcari install ford factory rebuilt transmission and they NEED to pay for it ! the shift lever is now in the proper position (they did not get that right even after I took it back for that) the transmission DOES NOT SLAM in to 2nd gear NOW (like their rebuild job did from day one) and and the dip stick tube is installed without black silicone all over it and it is bolted to the engine like it should be (They did not bolt it to the engine till I took it back to them and they used the wrong bolt) read more

23 months after paying almost $2000 for a transmission rebuild I lost 3rd gear. I took the truck in to them and they said I was 70 miles over the 24000 mile warranty. I didnt expect a free rebuild but they wanted the full $2000 again. Dougs is right next door...give Dougs your business! read more

I took my 1984 El Camino to Patriot's Automotive for a shift cable and when driving off, the shift lever came off in my hand. Lucky for me, I had a screw driver in my vehicle to remove the console to get it back into gear to drive it back to them. They fixed it immediately. I will give them that one. I returned to them with a transmission leak. Rodman Dailey put my car on the rack and said I had several leaks on my transmission pan. He said it would cost me $500.00 and he guaranteed me it will never leak again. Ha! After 433 miles later, I noticed it was still leaking after taking my car to a different shop to have the front & rear seals checked for a leak. They told me that my seals were fine. It is my transmission pan that was leaking. Of course I was angry. After taking my car back to Patriot's Automotive & Transmission, Rodman Daily threatened to call the cops and ordered me off his property. I am convinced these people could not fix their way out of a paper bag. Doug's transmission is in the same vicinity...go there instead! read more

After having the transmission replaced in my husband's 1979 Dodge Power Wagon, the truck has been back to this shop three times for leaking transmission fluid. Having paid almost $2K and having taken it back multiple times to have it made right, they will not make any further repairs and even threatened to call the cops if we came back to the shop. Their incompetence to get the job handled correctly as well as verbally abusing my husband has made this a true horror story. Not once did my husband raise his voice, make threats or cuss however he was called multiple explicit terms by Rodman, the owner, and was hung up on. We simply wanted what we paid for or a refund and instead we were called names, not given any kind of refund and on top of it the transmission still leaks. Ironically it wasn't leaking when we first brought it in. Do not go here unless you want to overpay for shoddy workmanship from rude people who won't back their own written warranty. read more

I purchased a vehicle from Patriots in Apache Junction. The vehicle did not have a license plate and there was no place to test drive the vehicle. Once we drove it off the parking lot it was making a weird noise. We turned around and went back but the employee said the noise was normal. We trusted him because he was a mechanic and he were buying the car from his company. When we got tot the freeway on-ramp the car died. It had to be towed to our apartment because Patriots was closed. The following day Patriots was closed as well. We contacted them on Monday and the OWNER told us the man who sold us the vehicle was a sub-contractor and he was selling the vehicle on consignment for an individual. I took the car back to the lot and asked Patriots for my money back but the owner refused. He said I was have to take the matter up with the sub-contractor or the vehicle original owner. I would NOT recommend buying a vehicle from them. They were very dishonest with me and the owner had a nasty attitude when i spoke with him. I just want him to do the right thing and refund our money. We are truly sorry the women he got the car from was dishonest with him, but 2 wrongs don't make a right. Please Patriots, do the right thing. Jesus is watching. read more
