I said sorry I was holding too long and she says to me I didn't know two minutes was too long and hung up on me. I've never had a retailer ever call me back and then hang up on me. I thought this was the rudest thing so I called back and got her name. I was calling to get an alignment on my new Maserati. Idk as a female i nearly trust shops and this shop proved to me why, i took it in for a brake inspection, took super long for no reason. He then calls me and tells me a long list of things wrong (front brakes need replacing, need a brake flush, need my rear brakes cleaned etc) gave me a price of like $250 I was like oh ok thanks , i'll see for myself. my dad checks my car says none of that is the problem. Been going to this shop for years and always been treated right. My rear brake would squeal periodically. Was told that pads were glazed and only 5mm thickness left. Rotors needed replacing. $500 quote. I told them to go ahead as it is too hot for me to do it myself in my garage. I track all of my car maint. Those brakes had only 9000 miles on them, and we all know that the rear brakes don't get nearly the abuse as the fronts. I went back to inspect my old parts and found that the shoes had at least 9mm (12mm is brand new) left on them. I asked the mech about them and he said they were glazed and needed replacing. I said back in the old days you'd run sandpaper over the pads and put the rotors on a lathe to resurface. His reply was that things used to be made in the USA. I guess its a replace instead of repair shop now. Goodbye, lost a loyal customer. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!! I have had two family members go to this location to get an oil change and miraculously both vehicles are now leaking oil. Not just a drip or two, but two full streaks in our driveway. Posted a picture to show what my sisters 2014 is now doing. The reason why we let her park in our driveway is because she has the newest car and didn't have a leak. Now here her car leaks oil for the first time?? I call bull crap. Hi, I am Michael Trombi an Automotive Mechanic at Brakes Plus and I have worked at Brakes Plus for a little over a month now and since then I have noticed a culture of harassment from the immediate upper management not including a few good men that are trying to do the right thing. I am currently pressing charges against my General Manager due to his harassments over the past month of me working at Brakes Plus. I have repeatedly and politely informed him over the past month that my name is Michael and not the other name he was using to belittle me in front of all of the other employees and my coworkers. As of recent at roughly 8:30 02/15/2023 My GM addressed me by the belittling name again. I told him that if he can not respect the fact that I am offended by his belittling name he calling than I have no choice but to call the Area Manager "Dan" and He looked me directly in the face and told he can call me what ever he wants basically. So, I did just as I said I would. Later in the day I got a call from another higher up in the Colorado corporate office for Brakes Plus. He informed me that he is very sorry for what has been occurring but then said "If I keep complaining he is go to have to let me go. THAT IS RETALIATION!!! I took my Hemi Challenger in to have the A/C serviced and a small water leak coming from the bleeder plug on the water pump I just replaced, so went and picked it up they explained the issues contributing to the a/c not working partly because the engine was running hot, he said they fixed it and was good to go, a week later my temperature guage starts climbing up again so I checked it and saw some moisture around the plug again, so I called them and explained what was going on and asked if I stopped by could he have someone come tighten it abit, I told them I was going to an important meeting and didn't want to chance over heating a $10k motor, all he said was we don't have time you'll need to make an appointment. I don't want to burn up my motor I said, he said sorry can't today. And they pulled it out and put on Teflon tape on the threads just didn't quite get it tight enough.bummer read more

I had a scheduled appointment on 6/8/2023 at 11:00. I arrived approximately 5 minutes early. The lady at the front desk stated it would take approximately 2.5 hours just to conduct a break inspection. The work would be completed and ready for pick up by COB. I went to a competitor a few miles down the road. I was in and out under 2 hours with a complete break job. But on the bright side I saved about $80. read more

I took my 2000 Toyota in for a brake check since it had been a while. They told me that my rear pads were in bad shape and critically close to needing rotor surfacing. The fronts were also bad but could wait a little bit if necessary. My estimate for Front Brake Service was $219.98 (Pads and Service). Rear Brakes were $219.98 (Pads and Service). Plus a Flush of Brake System for $50 and DOT brake Fluid (1 Qt) for $19.99. The total bill was $552.15. The mechanic took me to my car and showed me the brakes (still on the car) so I would understand the urgency. (Honestly, that didn't show me anything! How can you see wear if they are still on the car...maybe to the trained eye, but I wouldn't be there if I could do it myself!) I told them I needed to talk to my son before I did anything as he is a mechanic. My son pulled all the brakes and asked me where I went to get the assessment. I told him Brakes Masters on Signal Butte. He told me they should be reported as ALL 4 brakes were still about 75%!! So, that's what I'm doing by writing this review!!! read more

I recently took my car in for an alignment. Paid for a services that didn't need an alignment at that moment. It needed new control arms and stable links. The bushing were cracked and had a play. Why wasn't I notified to replace those first before doing and alignment? That's basically flushing money down the drain. I read your mission statement and it's clear that you don't follow it. Not very kind, upset when I went to get my brake light replaced they replaced the bulb but didn't even inform me that it's still not work due to some other issue now I have to go on my trip with no break light. Never again and this is not my first negative experience with them. Go to big o tires because here is a waste of money and time. Four hours later still nothing. WE had to call them to fallow up, not good business. They said it was being looked at another hour went by store was ready to close. Our Appt yesterday was at 3 pm and when we got there they said it would be an hour and a half before they could get to it. Why have an Appt? We left and were very disappointed again. Said we needed shocks & struts, so of course we got those. $700+ later. So hubby goes in this morning thinking he has one of the first oil changes since he made it for when they opened. He has to go see his mother afterwards who is in a Rehabilitation Center from being in a horrific accident. They tell him he has to wait 1 HOUR so they can do the 17 (or whatever it is) point inspection Wait What......??? That is so not what we need. So not what we wanted. . So not what we signed up for. Let me start by saying this is the WORSE experience i have ever had at a shop. I had taken my car in to get brakes done spent over $700 on everything. First they stripped my lug nuts and made me spend $60 more on lug nuts alone then no more then 2 weeks later i start hearing noises coming from my cars back tire and so i take it in and Joe tells me i need to purchase a new caliber because i messed up the caliber. First of all i didn't mess up anything all i did was drive home and didn't use my car till a little over week or so after i got it "fixed". So then Joe proceeds to tell me that i need to pay for parts and labor to get a new rotor because the caliber ruined the rotor. I stated i was not going to pay for parts and labor since i just spent over $700 for them to not do the job right in the first place. I got new lug nuts and lifetime warranty on my brakes the same time i got my rotor replaced. I've been going back and forth with Brakes Plus over them wanting to charge me for the past 10 months. Finally Joe tells me to bring in my car and he will only charge me $60 for labor to fix my rotor, caliber & replace my brakes, which i should not have to pay since they are the ones who did not do it right the first time but i decided fine i will pay the $60, so i take my car in today and he tells me he never said that and its going to be $450 more to fix it all. I already paid well over $700 already i can not afford to pay an additional $450 for their mistake. I am a single mother and I feel like i got ripped off and they are trying to take advantage of me because i am a WOMAN. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE IN ANYWAY TO TREAT ANYONE LIKE THIS. I am NOT satisfied at all and feel VERY DISRESPECTED in the way this has been handled. If this does not get fixed for me at No COST to me I will never go to Brakes Plus again and will never recommend this place to anyone. Never again would I ever use Brakes Plus and even their Corporate Customer Service said the best they could do after I spent $461 to change a sensor that wasn't needed because of their screw up was the half refund towards future service. They could have ruined 2 of my engines with their sloppy work but worse is even Corporate doesn't do what is right. No way in hell even if I had a $1000 credit would I trust taking a vehicle back there. The short story is on our first car they left off the oil fill cap causing almost a quart to spray out over the entire engine compartment and the hood of a restored Fiat Spider. The second screw up was Brakes Plus leaving a rag wrapped in plastic in the air filter after diagnosing vacuum leak and cleaning the fuel injectors causing the truck to run rich with low power and fail emissions badly. Because of this I asked them to change the oxygen sensor because it was the only part not new and figured it had fouled out when running rich from the vacuum leak. Granted I asked them to change the sensor (the $461 was mainly labor, I supplied the sensor) but this was after paying $75 for an initial diagnostic(said they found a vacuum leak), $100 for a fuel system flush, and them saying that it was running great. So doing another diagnostic by them made no sense to me. So I hope this review saves others from the horrible work and service from this location. Here's the exact email I sent Corporate and they responded with the best they could do is the half refund for future service as the location manager had offered. "We have had two bad experiences at this location last year that had I not noticed them right away could have ruined 2 engines in my vehicles. The first one was a 1979 Fiat Spider that is restored and after the oil change they forgot to put on the oil fill cap. Luckily it's only a 10 mile drive home and although it sprayed oil everywhere it was only a quart low. But it took me longer the next morning to clean the engine and hood then it would have to do the oil change. They offered a free oil change and realizing that mistakes can happen I took my Dodge Dakota there that wasn't running right. They did the free oil change and said they found a vacuum leak and suggested a fuel system flush. $190 later it ran a little bit better but taking it to emissions it failed. Knowing that the sensors and plugs were all new I figured the only thing it could be was the oxygen sensor so I took it back to them to change that. $461 later I picked it up and it still failed emissions. I took it home and started to look at it myself and after taking off an air cleaner I found a rag wrapped in plastic that they had left in after checking the vacuum or flushing it. Pulled it out and sure enough it ran as it should and passed emissions. I called them and suggested that they are least refund half of the $461 as the sensor apparently was fine and the root cause was the vacuum leak. They said they would give us half of it as a credit towards future work. Well there is no way I would take my car there again as both of these sloppy mistakes by their mechanics could have ruined my engines. The amount towards credit is a joke especially since their actual cost on the labor for the $461 bill is likely $100. My brother is a mechanic and he even said they would have probably refunded the entire amount and I know my old boss in high school would have refunded it and he would have had me spending a day on my time detailing the engine compartment and entire car if I would have left off the oil fill cover." read more
