Pasta done to the tooth ! Sauce complimented the pasta not overwhelmed it. I accompanied it an appropriate red wine and just a delightful experience. My husband had the steak sandwich (6oz). Steak done perfectly , and other then a little too much mayo it was also delightful. Our guest had chicken Alfredo with Linguine also a very delicious meal. Our guest had a pice of new York cheese cake for her birthday. It was very good , from the small nibble I tried. The service was once again amazing. Our orders were : - Classic Ruben sandwich with house salad - 2 lbs of naked wings with onion rings - Wings & Ribs combo My spouse loved the Ruben. It came out hot and fast. There was plenty of meat and sauerkraut. The rye bread held it all together. The house salad was good too but my wife struggled to finish her sandwich so the salad was boxed. The tables beside us also ordered the Ruben and the salad was left untouched. My Dad had the wings and ribs. My Dad generally does not have lunch but all that was left was a pile of bones (ribs/wings). He really liked the meal. Mine was the 2 lbs of wings. I had mine naked with the sauce on the side. I had sweet chilli and BBQ. These wings are the jumbos. So while you might kit get 10 per lbs in the end you are getting closer to 2 lbs of meat vs bones. I really like their onion rings. My only complaint was the portion. Clearly fries gets you the most for your dollar. My only regret was they had sticky toffee pudding on the menu and crème Brulé which I also wanted to try. The regular burger was tasty and moist as usual, but I probably had 2 days' worth of calories in the one meal - my own fault. I was hungry. There was an abundance of fried onion straws - too much actually, so I removed quite a lot to my plate. Next time, I will stick with the classic burger. Service was fair - our server seemed to have the majority of tables in another section and out of view. We were her only table on the one side, so it was a bit difficult to get her attention. Atmosphere and decor was good. Over the years, I've been disappointed that Turtle Jack's in general has changed and reduced their classic menu choices. I used to love their Apple Brie Burger with special sauces, bruschetta with reduced balsamic vinaigrette, and brunch menu. I'm sure it was more labour-intensive so I get it, but it was the reason that this restaurant stood out from the rest in its early years. I will try their dusted chicken wings again in the future. I have seen other reviews where they changed their recipe, so I hope that they didn't alter a good product.
