So this is one of my saddest reviews that i have written. Chucks is an iconic Princeton establishment and one that i credit for getting me hooked on the perfect food that is the Buffalo Wing. Oh Chuck, your wings at one point were little fried wonders of deep fried perfection drenched in an elixir known as Buffalo Sauce. The wings weren't too small, nor were they too big. The Sauce was neither too not, nor was it too mild. The Ambience was dreary, but who really cared when they served up wing after delicious wing. I was a young lad back in the late 80s and had the metabolism to enjoy these wings whenever the budget would allow for it. And enjoy them I did. So with Great Fanfare, I returned, like a devotee going back to the Religious Land. I brought my teenage son, who is already an avid fan of Buffalo Wings. I had returned to Chucks. So some things change and some things don't. Chucks literally looks the same inside as it did in 1986. No parachute pants on this man anymore, but the same interior greeted me. The prices have gone up a lot. Over $1/wing is no bargain, but I plunked down my $15 for 14 wings and we quickly decamped nearby and started to dig in. What had changed were...the wings, or at least my memory of them has changed. The wings were fried reasonably well (but could have been a little crispier). However the real let down in these wings was the sauce. It had a puddle of oil on it, but it lacked that salty, vinegary, spicy flavor that makes your mouth pucker just daydreaming about it. The sauce was not very flavorable and didn't have great mouthfeel. We ate about half the wings and threw the rest away. Never to Chucks will I return.

I got the steak and pepper and cheese fries. It was right off the grill so it was nice and hot. Service was quick so I didn't have to wait long.

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. The burger was burnt and inside was dry. Just because I asked it for well done, doesn't mean the meat should be dry and burnt, the meat was tasteless other than dry and burnt. I should've gone to Five Guys where the burger is juicy and comes with many toppings for the same price. Will not come back to this place again. Worst burger ever.

    7 piece buffalo wings order

Came here on a weekend for lunch with my boyfriend to re-live his childhood memories in the Princeton area. I can see why this place would be popular amongst younger folk- the restaurant is bare bones, casual, and inexpensive. We ordered 7 buffalo wings (the smallest order of wings possible). For what we paid for, the quality was pretty good! In terms of flavor, they were nothing spectacular. What makes these wings stand out is their freshness- these babies come straight off the fryer for a delectably warm, tender, and saucy experience. Would recommend for a cheap, quick bite for lunch.

The wings are deep friend and covered simply a butter and hot sauce but you just love to eat them. Usually buy at least 30.

That kind of thing can happen in a restaurant next to the Princeton campus. This is one of the dangers of eating in a college town. So most of my observational powers and intellectual energy were turned towards general issues of demographic processes and global welfare and the way that these could be re-positioned in the social sciences. There was elaborate stuff going into my mouth. I was paying more attention to the elaborate stuff going into my ears. What was going into my mouth seemed overly fussy for what it was. At first, walking in gave me a wave of nostalgia because it reminded me of the Olives I used to visit in New York City. While it's not the same restaurant, this one absolutely stands on its own. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, and my husband had a kale salad loaded with vegetables and all kinds of good things like pecans, carrots, red cabbage, chick peas and more...he loved it. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and you could tell the quality of the ingredients was a priority. The pricing was also very reasonable, especially for how good the food was. We took our meals to go and walked down the street to a picnic table, which made for a perfect, relaxed lunch in Princeton. Great food, great value, and a spot I'd happily return to. There were also some really good desserts to pick from as well, but I passed them up. Pro tip... there can be a line to order your food during busy times of the day.

As we were leaving I reconfirmed it with the person at the host's desk ( seemed to be the manager) , who apologized and said maybe our waiter missed it . But it was a noticeable miss that cannot be overlooked, as that was the purpose of our dinner here. End of the meal, our family's spirits fell flat, but we still sang and celebrated sans the petty candle. Now on to the food and drinks... Mocktails were delicious, colorful, and eye-catching . We tried all 3 on the menu and loved it. Appetizers galore filled our table ... Bang Bang cauliflower had a medley of sweet & sour flavors. Hummus pita board - Warm grilled pita was a table favorite with the small portion of hummus and fresh crisp veggies. Harvest salad - crisp lettuce, feta cheese, walnuts, poached and fresh sliced pear, cucumbers, and watermelon radish with rose vinaigrette made this extra special. Crispy calamari - great pairing with pickled veggies and arugula basil aioli. We ordered an assortment of entrees with all seafood choices . Salmon with risotto , Halibut & Branzino cooked to perfection served with flavorful sides. For dessert, it was the warm brownie with vanilla ice cream and peanut butter cup . The brownie was soft and not too sweet, slightly warm and it vanished in a few seconds. Peanut butter cup was a dense donut texture with candied peanuts We hoped that at least one of the desserts would be served with a candle as we were celebrating a birthday but they missed it and didn't care enough despite letting them know when marking the reservation. I loved everything about the experience at Agricola, but their lack of attention to detail stuck out like a sore thumb , as the poor communication between their front desk and wait staff dampens the guests' experience , making it a not-so-great finish .
