Returned to meatheadz today To satisfy a cheese steak craving. The audacity of being a Philly Gal heading over the bridge for a cheese steak. I sadly hang my head.. but hey. The place does a steak right. We opted for a regular steak since last time was way too much meat and adding in an order ofonly finding that still the regular steak was plump and overflowing with cheesy goodness. Our counter person today most patient and helpful and our dining experience a pleasant one again.
These cheesesteaks are stuffed with filling and so delicious! Large pickup orders can have a long wait so definitely order well in advance- I waited about 1 hr for an order for 8 cheese steaks and a few cheese fries, onion rings Ambiance: - modern black and red decor - plenty of seating in the main dining area with a semi-private dining space for a party of 15 Service - slow service at the register. Waited in line for about 10 minutes before reaching the counter to order - milk shake order took about 30 minutes to make. The staff didn't let us know that there was delay due to milk shortage until we asked where the milk shake order was - menu was not updated: Ricks Pork was unavailable April 2025 Food: - Nico Cheesesteak: huge sandwich! Steak was tender and juicy steak and the chimichurri added a nice tang and herby flavor to the sandwich - onion rings: large, crispy hot and delicious! - cheese fries: cheese tasted a bit watery and the fries were not crisp I'd love to stop by for another cheesesteak! Just need to set aside more time to order
Always good service. First time trying their lemon pepper wings and they did not disappoint. Also had their new chicken sandwich and it was a hit. They are grilled and then sauced, which is my preference.
They have a warning as you enter that they "are not a fast food" establishment, which was warranted. It took about 25 minutes for my sandwich to come out. Didn't mind waiting inside because it was clean and had TVs set up. If you're ordering to go I suggest getting the box because the cheesesteaks can get messy. Got the angry steak, VERY spicy which I like, a good sized portion, 21 dollars for the sandwich and a bottle of soda feels standard.
Drove 15 minutes out to go get there cheesesteak. The amount of meat is a lot. I didn know so ordered a double on one of them and it was humongous!! The regular was already huge. There wasn't much cheesecake though.for both of my cheesesteaks though.. The chili was tasty with loads of favor
We came here about an hour and a half before closing. It's pretty spacious inside with various artwork, signed items, and a pretty cool chair by their wall of fame. The girl working the counter was very patient with our party and answered our questions. I ordered the Cantonese cheesesteak which came with ribeye, 2 fried eggs, pepper jack cheese, & sesame seeds on a seeded garlic roll. The garlic roll truly elevated this cheesesteak. I appreciated how the cheese was melted and not to the point where it was dripping everywhere and making the bread soggy. The meat was tender and the roll maintained it's crisp exterior.
This used to be my favorite place now there cutting the buns shorter giving you 30% less and charging double the price. Do yourself a favor find a new place like I have.
Totally worth visiting for the quantity and quality of food you are given. Two HUGE cheesesteaks and a heavy box of fries cost about $47. The Works cheesesteak was pretty decent and solid. It is loaded with so much ribeye. Really enjoyed the pizza cheesesteak! Would probably get this again. The pizza sauce was the perfect flavor-- with just the right sweetness, not too sour/tangy nor tomatoey. I ordered the Meatheadz Loaded Fries which had so much cheese and beef on top that you couldn't see the fries underneath. Everyone was only able to eat half their order. The texture of the beef is different than your typical cheesesteak joint. The ribeye was a tad bit chewier which we all enjoyed.
Finally made it here....after seeing it on an Instagram Reel two weeks ago, lol. Medium sized venue inside of shopping complex. They have a small toppings bar, & both bottled drinks & Fountain Drinks (Pepsi products). The customer service here is great. One of the owners was there, & made it his business to stop & interact with everyone. Top notch experience. We had the Meatheadz Classic, Meatheadz Loaded Fries, Fried Pickles, "standard" Cheesesteak, & the Cantonese. Everything was delicious. The cheesesteaks are HUGE, FYI. Grades: Meatheadz Classic: B+ Meatheadz Loaded Fries: A- Fried Pickles: A Cheesesteak: A+ The Cantonese: B+
If you are in the mood for a good cheesesteak, then this place is for you. They have a variety of unhealthy but delicious selections. We mostly stick to the cheesesteak "wit" pepper jack and mushrooms. A regular sized is big and very generously stuffed with meat. We usually get them on garlic bread. I would advise against getting the double meat single they already come over stuffed and whatever they add is only marginal. They have a fixings bar that is self serve. The place is nice and clean and they are friendly. If you get it to go be sure to have them wrapped instead of boxed otherwise it will be soggy by the time you get home. A little pricey - two sandwiches plus onion rings was almost 50 bucks but as I mentioned the size is such that one sandwich can be split into two meals so it's still a good value. Recommended!
Review for Meatheadz - Lawrence Township, NJ After hearing a NJ Transit conductor rave about Meatheadz, I finally decided to check it out--and I'm glad I did. This place absolutely lives up to the hype. I went with the Plain cheesesteak with fried onions and pepper jack cheese on a seeded bun, along with an order of Meatheadz loaded fries. Let me just say, that cheesesteak was a monster. Fresh, perfectly cooked, and swimming in melty cheese--it's easily the best cheesesteak I've had outside of Philly. The portion was so generous I could barely finish it, and for anyone arriving hungry, you definitely won't leave that way. The loaded fries looked fantastic too, but I had to box them up for later (that's how filling the sandwich was). The prices were moderate and fair for what you get, and while the place was busy, the energy felt lively rather than chaotic. All in all, Meatheadz is absolutely worth the trip if you're craving an authentic cheesesteak experience. Rating: 4.25 out of 5 read more

Just good cheesesteak. I enjoyed it, and it only took about 5 minutes to make. I also liked that the toppings are to the right of the register counter and you can add as much or as little as you want without being charged extra. Parking is easy, but the restaurant itself can be tricky to find. Once you enter the parking lot, drive all the way towards the back and you'll find Meatheadz Cheesesteaks tucked away at the very end, in the corner (across from Dollar Tree and a couple stores down). read more

This was our first time trying out Meatheadz. As a long time Philly resident and cheesesteak aficionado, I can attest this spot does it the right way! You can't have a good steak without a good roll, so do yourself a favor and get it with the seeded Sarcone's roll! They really stuff the steak the way it's supposed to be done. A half steak alone is a full meal. They didn't have fries when we visited, so we tried the fried pickles, which were delicious. The wings were also very well prepared. Next time I'm in the area, I'll be stopping here. Only next time, I'll eat-in to enjoy the steak fresh rather than getting it takeout to go. I recommend you do the same! It's a nice setting inside with plenty of seating, good music, and a nice staff. read more

Not only was this a good cheese steak for 12.50 (when you pay with cash, 13 with card), it has well incorporated cheese in it and is a full meal!!!! I don't see the need to get a double as a single is enough!!! ( single shown in picture). Well worth the stop on my way from North Jersey down to Delaware. I def suggest going here if you like cheese steaks and have a big appetite!!! read more

Awesome cheesesteak spot. It lived up to the hype that is for sure. The seeded roll regular cheesesteak is delicious. The double has a pound of meat so probably too much for one. The cheesesteak is the perfect balance of meat and cheese. They do it right. Order it and thank me later. The buffalo loaded fries were solid but nothing spectacular. The wings with meathead sauce were good. Come here for the cheesesteak... you wont regret it. read more
Food is always hot & fresh. They opened up in the food court at the quakerbridge mall. Right now they have 2 great locations. Service is incredible. Food is outstanding. You're most likely going to bring food home. Hot juicy steaks and this location has hot fresh potato chips. Unbelievable. I drove almost 2 hours just to try the chips. And get a hot fresh cheesesteak.Very happy and satisfying. If in area or wanna take a road trip. This is a must. And today was super lucked to have "Joe" the owner there. I was interested in trying a traditional Philadelphia Cheesesteak....they serve exactly what I was looking for. The meat was good the cheese to meat portion was good, and all melted in there..my only complaint was the serving size was way to big...a half of sandwich was all I could eat..being so large, the price like the sandwich was 2 x too high.. They serve bottled Birch Root beer, which is excellent. read more
5 plus stars hands down! Went here about 2 months ago, Sept 2023, lured by their IG page Rolling out was deep, about 1 hours drive but SO WORTH IT!!! Steaks were juicy, cheesy, messy, and all of the above! So huge I could barely eat HALF! Tried chicken steak too and it didn't disappoint! Get here by train, plane, bus, car, bike even foot! Lol jk! Largest cheesesteak of my life - easily feeds 2-3 people. Got the Works to go with Cooper sharp to go and it was overflowing with cheese. Wish the bread was slightly more toasted and the cheese in lesser quantity (to go order had the cheese stick to the wrapping, gooey to eat), but this was solid. Aljons in West Windsor is still best cheesesteak in the area IMO. Love that they offer pickles and peppers to go, good and fast service. read more

Still the best cheesesteak around!! So much flavor, and they're huge, one will feed you for 2 meals. Been a customer since the beginning and happy to see them grow and thrive to a new location and expand! It's a great, cute spot and clean. Lots of parking. Yes, they're busy (because they're good) with sometimes a wait. Order ahead. I will say the past few times ordering via door dash app (for myself). I've paid for extras (1.50 for garlic bread or extra sauce etc) and didn't receive it. But I should've checked my bag before leaving and it's probably a door dash issue. But they're very good and worth the wait, the drive, etc..when my husband and I had a hard day recently, we wanted comfort food and we picked Meatheadz. The loaded steak, The dripping steak and loaded fries continue to be a fav. Need to try a burger one day. read more
Located in a stripe mall it was a pretty decent size place very casual. Staff was friendly ! But Holy cow this place serves up a mean cheesesteak!! There is so much meat inside I couldn't even pick it up . Great flavor and that garlic bread adds a nice touch. We came with a fairly large group and everyone enjoyed it !! I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area they shouldn't disappoint. read more

After expanding their operation and adding some new items, meatheadz still stands tall near to top of the king of cheesesteaks. I still feel they are better than anything Philly has to offer, and way better than all those meh pizza places for cheesesteaks. If you want a cheesesteak, you go to a cheesesteak/sandwich shop. The fresh sliced ribeye is awesome. TIP: Ask for the au jus on the side if you order your Dripping Steak to go otherwise I'll get too soggy. The burgers are fantastic also. Plenty to choose from, great fast friendly service in a nice bigger location with plenty of parking. Enjoy! read more

The sandwiches are good. They give a very healthy portion for sandwichserving. Consider sharing or coming starving. With the current setup, you can order and then sit in your car to wait or enjoy the outdoor seating. There are parking spots with shade. They are moving soon. Pretty much across the street. Customer service was great. Look forward to coming back for seconds. read more

Look ya'll, I've been following these guys for well over a year when whispers were coming down to me in south jersey that there is a jawn in central jersey making cheesesteaks that would rival some of the best $Philly spots. They've blown up on #tiktok and make some sandwiches that look sexy in videos and pictures. The question is, do they live up to the hype? I'm typing this up, hypothetically looking at you dead in the face, and confidently will tell you, Meatheadz is not a gimmick, they live up to all the hype, pound for pound they make one of the best cheesesteaks that you will eat in NJ and possibly even Philly. I got the drippin cheesesteak, which is #ribeye, provolone dipped in au jus, onions, oh yeah, also on a toasted sarcones seeded roll made into garlic bread! My Dad got a cheesesteak with pepperjack cheese, onions, and mushrooms on a sarcones seeded garlic bread roll as well. The place is clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Not sure what to get? They'll be happy to help give you suggestions. The steak is flavorful, a near perfect chop to my liking, great ratio, huge in size, plus they have a small peppers/pickle bar. I highly recommend making this a destination spot to visit! I'm coming back as I need to try a few of their other cheesesteak creations such as The Nico, The Angry Steak, and the Jersey Steak. Although messy the food is good and well worth the price here. This feels like a place you would find most men who prefer food over "cute" plates. The service itself was really nice and professional, unfortunately the kitchen must've gotten backed up or was rushing because it took 45 mins for my order and it was wrong two times and it went from a exciting experience to a frustrating hangry one. I'd give them another chance but I'd definitely call well in advance. read more
