Happy Hour Menu as of April 2025
    Jasmine Ariel C.

Great neighborhood bar. TVs scattered around for games, a pool table and food. Happy Hour as of April 2025 is M-F, 4-6pm Convenient seating, since it's at the corner of 19th and Lincoln, parking is rough. Easy to uber, bus, or walk here. Staff is friendly, with heavy pours and about 8 beers on draft.

Cool spot to come for a drink, a bite, and a game! They have a few different TVs throughout the place and are able to play a handful of games/shows at once. Trish, our wonderful and fun bartender was happy to change the TV and put on a game we wanted, as well as get the sound going for us. Drinks and food were both good, and very reasonably priced. They had a nice variety of beers on draft, a couple different seltzer options, and a full bar.

We loved it here! As kids who grew up here then have traveled away and returned as adults...we indulged in the coziest, friendliest spot right off the path from the park. TRISH made us feel so welcome, cleaned off a table for us to play cards on and took wonderful care of us. Made us yummmmmmy drinks and feel at home. Thank you

I loved the energy and set up of this bar/restaurant. We went for my friend's birthday and the bartenders were very welcoming and accommodating. We reserved a few tables and were able to bring our own cake to celebrate! There's also a pool table in the bar and a Mexican restaurant connected to it. The bar/restaurant is located across the street from golden gate park which is convenient/nice if you're looking for a park day before heading over. Overall good drinks, food, and great service.

Chicken Asada Nachos, carnitas soft taco & sauces/guac/sour cream on the side as requested. The BRC burrito is oven on "warm" setting.

We order takeout/delivery from here often. Why? B/c all the food tastes fresh & they follow directions submitted via delivery. We give 5/5 for chicken Asada nachos. The chips are fresh, crispy & delicious. They put the wet ingredients on the side so they don't get soggy. Their salsas are awesome, our favorite is the salsa verde. The BRC burrito is probably our favorite in the city.

Came here after a class that was in the neighborhood. Good vibes inside, decent variety of beer, and food was good. We got beers and tacos. The crispy tacos weren't greasy and all of them tasted really great. The chips and salsa with the food was also a nice little side. Chips super crispy which I love and salsa had a nice kick to it. Lots of tvs inside and a pool table. It was a chill place to stop in on a Friday night.

I for one did not expect there to be good food at a bar, but I stand corrected haha. We came here after a concert in the city and this was one of the few places that was open later in the evening. A bar on one side and a few rows of tables on the other, it's a dimly lit but comfortable place to hang out with friends and get some yummy burritos, tacos, wings, fries, & beer. Enjoy.

Tish this amazing Bar Tender Way festive, beautiful.

For those of us who only eat outdoors, there are a few tables outside the bar that are pretty comfortable although it can get windy. From the minute we arrived, we were greeted with friendliness, all of the menus we might need, and an explanation of drinks, beer and wine. We chose to go all out and got a small pizza, their delicious onion dip, meatballs - more on that later - and buffalo wings. I was a bit disappointed that the happy hour wine was a Chardonnay and not the Ferentino that they let me taste, but the replacement house May logger was delicious. My husband had a steam beer, which was also very good. Throughout the service was impeccable, and we actually met the manager, Jon, who had a long conversation with us about the history of the bar and how they were trying to be a neighborhood comfortable place which they certainly have succeeded at. Now for the food - the meatballs were the best I have ever had in San Francisco and I am Italian from New York so that's saying something. We actually let Jon know who told the chef and it turns out the chef is from New Jersey so that makes a lot of sense. The onion dip is something like I've never had before. It's a crème fraîche with scallions I think? And maybe a bit of garlic and housemaid chips. We ate every single bite and actually dipped our pizza crust in the rest of the dip. The margarita pizza was also very good and as I finished it off for lunch today, I can tell you it's just as good the next day. The buffalo wings were what I would call actual buffalo style - I could taste the butter, hot sauce and garlic powder like back in the day on the East Coast. The chicken itself was good, not fatty, and the sauce was just like I want it. They offered ranch and blue cheese dip, which was great. We then had further conversations with almost all the staff who were so welcoming and friendly. We don't live super nearby, but I know we're going to go back to dinner, because I am dying to get their pork chop that looked really good. They also came and helped us put the stuff in boxes and explained the best way to take pizza home, which I never knew before. I can't wait to go back again

It was a cooler day, so the soup helped to warm us up. We also ordered the Pan Seared Salmon and the Chicken Milanese to share. Although both were good, we both liked the salmon. The skin was crisp and I really liked the artichoke hearts and the sauce on the bottom. Just enough food where we were satisfied and not overly stuffed - full enough that we had to bypass dessert.

It strikes a great balance between laid-back and social without ever feeling overcrowded or chaotic. The beer selection is excellent, with a wide range of options that cater to just about every taste. Whether you're into crisp lagers, bold IPAs, or something a little more adventurous, there's plenty to choose from. Everything we tried was fresh and well poured, making it easy to enjoy more than one without feeling overwhelmed by the menu. One thing that really stood out is the food menu. There's a solid variety of options that pair perfectly with the beer, so it's not just a place to drink, it's a place to actually enjoy a full experience. The menu feels thoughtfully put together, with choices that are satisfying, shareable, and ideal for a relaxed beer hall setting. The Beer Hall delivers on all fronts: atmosphere, beer, and food. It's the kind of place you can casually stop into and end up staying longer than planned. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great beer selection, good eats, and a genuinely enjoyable vibe.

From the outside, The Beer Hall almost blended into its surroundings - I almost walked right by if it hadn't been for the neon "The Beer Hall" sign. The taproom is quite spacious and could accommodate several large groups; however, the night of our visit was relatively quiet, perhaps due to the cold weather. Since there weren't any large tables, our group spread out over three smaller tables. As people came and went throughout the evening, it was convenient that we could each order our own beer and food at the bar. I selected an IPA from Fieldwork, a local favorite, and the beer stayed cold and refreshing throughout the evening. The food menu was limited, but I was craving something warm and salty to pair with my beer. For nearly $10, the fries weren't cheap, but the plate was piled high with some of the best fries I've had in a while. They were served piping-hot alongside two dipping sauces - aioli and ketchup. My friends sitting around me couldn't resist them either, and the mountain of fries disappeared in record time. The servers at the bar were very friendly and checked in on our group often. We spent a few hours enjoying our conversation and beer, overall having a fun, laid-back evening.

Her service, attention, and friendliness are consistently stellar; it's the kind of hospitality that makes you feel genuinely welcomed every time you walk in. Kelley is fantastic at helping with recommendations, whether we're trying something new or just can't decide. She also has an incredible sense for timing, especially with kids at the table. She makes a point to get their orders in quickly, which helps ward off delays (and the occasional hangry moment), and that level of awareness does not go unnoticed. Do you love double-layered tortillas around your super-meaty tacos? Well, then Underdogs Too is your kinda place! =). A Nick's Way Taco is a taco with a crispy corn tortilla wrapped in a soft corn tortilla with Monterey Jack cheese, pinto beans, pico de gallo & guacamole. I ordered two tacos "Nick's Way" . The first was a regular Pollo taco (grilled chicken) and the other was a Pollo Asado taco (shredded chicken raised by local provider Mary's Chicken). Both tacos came with a lot of pico de Gallo, and a HUGE dollop of Guacamole! After trying both of the tacos back to back, I think I'll go back for the regular Pollo (grilled chicken) version, as I found it more tasty.. PRO TIP: These little tacos are very filling! Next time, I'll just order just one for lunch - that's plenty, unless I was absolutely starving.... I first experienced these tacos when they had a booth at a local street fair, and was happy to happen upon this little corner of 46tj/Taraval way out here on the farthest Avenues in the Outer Sunset. Despite its proximity to the Ocean just a couple of blocks down the street, we visited here on a warm day to again savor this special style of taco. Worth coming back for sure. GETTING HERE: Easy transit access via the L Taraval Light Rail line which stops just across the street. Parking is relatively doable if you are willing to walk a block (worst case).
