The number of times I've passed by Richmond Republic has been countless. Amongst all the restaurants and shops, it's a go-to spot in the area for drinks, bites, and watching games. After our group's outing, we were on the hunt for a nearby spot to chill before lunch, so we came here! We came on Easter, so it wasn't as busy as other weekends. They have two floors, bar seating, plus outdoor seating. Being a bigger group, we chose to go upstairs. When it's not busy, it's quite spacious -- pool table, games, and a good amount of seating. You can order at the bar or use the self-service QR code. The staff helping us were all kind and courteous! Everyone got a variety of food to share and drinks to consume. Nachos, French Fries, Tater Tots, and Wings were among the items ordered. The Tater Tots were my personal fave. I love a new crispy outside, and the tots and fries were just that! Very good pub food [San Francisco CA] Our party of 12 came here to get some light sips and bites before our lunch at 1:00p. We were at an odd time from our walk on the Golden Gate Bridge and lunch reservation so we came here. It wasn't a busy time around 11:00a and we occupied the upstairs section of the restaurant. We ordered some fries, tater tots, chicken wings and nachos. I tried all except the nachos because it had some spice in it. Everything was delicious! The fries were crispy and perfectly salted. The tots were a crispy, golden-brown nugget of potato perfection. We were also given a variety of sauces but I was fine with ranch. Yummy chicken wings too! We were all a bit hungry and you know how everything tastes good when one is hangry... these apps, though, they were honestly good. I'm a little biased because I frequented this place with friends when I was living in SF over 5 years ago. This is a great local bar to grab a beer, maybe catch a game, and catch up with friends. It gets pretty busy in the evenings but my friend and i stopped by on MLK Monday and it wasn't too busy. We were seated at the bar right away. People are friendly, seats are comfortable, there is food available, and always great beer. They have memberships - my friend is a lifetime membership owner with his name on the wall! This was my first time back since they changed the menu. The burgers and sandwiches no longer come with sides. My friend and I split the House Burger and ordered a side of fries. The fries were really good very hot and crispy. The burger itself was just okay; I asked for it medium, but it came out dry. My wife ordered the Buffalo Cobb Salad, which looked amazing. This is one of my favorite places to eat and/or grab a beer in the Inner Richmond. I love the vibes and the fact that they have many, many TVs to watch sports on. They have always had a great beer selection and top-notch food. Most recently they've made major changes that have left me feeling some way. The interior has been elevated with a cleaner, more refined look - nice bar, a TV for their menu, no paper menus, updated dishware, no paper menus (order by QR code), and new silverware containers. The aforementioned updates are welcomed and make the place feel different - in a good way. Such a cool spot in the heart of the Richmond District. The service is friendly, the ambiance is lively with ample seating and TVs, and the food is SO good. I've been looking for a yummy American food restaurant in the Richmond, and I'm so glad I found this spot. I highly recommend ordering the buffalo Cobb salad, spicy shrimp mac & cheese, and house burger. * Buffalo Cobb Salad: this is probably one of the best salads I've ever had. The chicken and buffalo sauce mixed with the blue cheese and the fresh vegetables make it taste so yummy. Packed with flavor! * Spicy Shrimp Mac n Cheese: the shrimp with the mac & cheese topped with chili crisp is just so bomb! * House Burger: the flavor in this burger is so delicious. 2/22, Sunday at Noon. First time here. Took a friend here for Brunch. Not a fan of ordering off a QR Code, but thankfully my friend is much more savvy w/that. I ordered our drinks @ the bar. A tad pricey and a bit weak, but o.k. Great beer list though, so I would come back for that and lunch. We each had the basic eggs Benedict (others listed on website no longer available) one w/fries and one w/Chimichurra house potatoes. Tots also no longer available. Eggs cooked perfectly, nice Hollandaise sauce, but 1 skimpy slice of ham (akin to lunch meat) on very odd, and so tough bread, which was small, you couldn't cut it with a steak knife, you had to tear it. Fries and house potatoes were good, but Benedict needs some work for $18.00. I wouldn't do brunch again, but I would return for the burger, which looked amazing. We live in the neighborhood and we're looking for a good place to watch TNF. Stopped by here. Overall it's a 3.5 for me Like most Richmond bars it was super duper quiet. Not many ppl here. The beer selection is decent though maybe not quite what I'd expect out of a "Draught house". The service was a little interesting, the guy seemed a little forgetful but was chill. We ordered quite a bit of food. Mango wings, burger, chicken sandwich. Burger was actually really decent. Everything else was pretty mediocre. The wings had promise but they were like heavily breaded and fell apart so easily. Almost like soggy? But not? I woulda loved a double fry so I'll ask for that next time. read more

We had a company happy hour here with about 15-20 people. They gave us the mezzanine which was great. Lots of room with darts and a pool table. The QR code ordering worked really well so we weren't running up and down. Service was fantastic as was the ease of booking via email. Upon entering Richmond Republic Draught House (now that's a mouth full) I realized I had been there 10 years earlier. Whew, that's quite a bit of time between visits This Draught House delivers on brew on tap along with Ciders and Seltzers. My choice: a Cherry Blossom seltzer very light, faintly sweet with a bit of lime. My pal had a pint of Golden State Dry Apple Cider (which I had a sip or two) definitely dry, a bit sharp of taste yet a pint you can take your time drinking and enjoying. The place in my 10 year span looked the same, clean, spacious, a good place for groups and a long bar where you can sit, sip and enjoy movies on the big screen overhead. Bartender friendly and really welcoming. I definitely won't wait another 10 years to visit. Arriving at 12 noon on a Saturday, our party of ten was set up on a long table on the left side near the entrance. The food menu consisted of a brunch and a lunch/dinner menu. While deciding on the food, I checked out the bar menu. After all it's a draught house with 18 beers on draft. I ordered the Fort George Cavatica Stout, which was an Imperial Stout. This double stout was dark and bold with a hint of sweetness was smooth and delicious. Our host ordered for the table Caesar Salads and Tots. The salad was nicely prepared with shredded Parmesan and garlic crostini. It also had cherry tomatoes, which was unusual for a Caesar. The tots were good, but nothing special. I had chicken and waffles, which a Belgian waffle made with bacon bits and cheddar with a fried boneless chicken breast. It came with sides of maple syrup and cinnamon whipped butter. The chicken was little dry, but the cinnamon butter was a nice touch. Our waiter was friendly, but I guess they were not used to having a large party. The salads were brought to our table, but no serving spoons our plates were brought to the table and we had to flag down our waiter for it. Servers were prompt and food came out quickly. Menu selection was good, lots to choose from. My capers sandwich with chicken was good - the chicken could have been a bit more tender. I've been here before for brunch on the weekends but recently came on a weekday and the food was really disappointing. Mac n cheese: The shrimp was good but the cheese sauce was so flavorless. The entire thing came out barely warm and swimming in liquidy cheese sauce. Philly cheese steak: The garlic tots were tasty but the cheese steak was also barely warm. There was barely any cheese as well. Nachos with steak (not pictured): This came out cold. The steak was cold and the cheese sauce was cold. It was not good at all. Not sure what happened with this visit but the food was pretty much cold and not good at all. The brunch menu is way better but I don't plan on returning anytime soon. read more

Rudest Bartender. Wish I could rate 0 stars if possible. When I arrived it was fairly busy, there was only empty or half bottles of whiskey on the wall from what I could see, so I asked the bartender if there was a full bar available. He then proceeds to point at the half bottle of whiskey on the wall and say "Does that answer your question?" super sarcastically. No, it really doesn't, what a weirdo. Came for the beers, stayed for the food! Richmond Republic Draught House has a wide selection of craft beers that rotates every so often and delicious pub food. This establishment is very spacious offering tables for larger groups and numerous seats at the bar. There's even a second floor if you prefer a more personal setting away from the crowd. The garlic fries DEFINITELY stole the show. The fries were crispy and had the perfect amount of garlic. Surprisingly, it was the most memorable item from my visit. We substituted regular french fries for garlic fries with our Garlic Bacon Burger order. The burger was good, no complaints at all. We also ordered the Spicy Shrimp Mac & Cheese. So creamy and delicious. They gave us a generous portion of shrimp as well. The spicy Cajun flavor worked so well with the Mac n cheese; it inspired me to add chili crisp oil to my mac & cheese moving forward. Our server was super personable and funny. I love the vibe of this Inner Richmond sports bar but I was really disappointed with my visit yesterday afternoon for lunch. Loved watching World Cup Futbol on the giant TVs and the unpretentious neighborhood crowd. Ordered the hamburger and SF Brewery lager. The hamburger tasted like it was cooked in grease and drizzled with more grease, tasty but very slimy. My food server asked if I needed anything else, I requested mustard. Server didn't seem to know what it was or if I could get it. She returned with a side of what appeared to be ranch dressing. Beer on tap was flat and metallic tasting. Was looking for a chill spot to watch a F1 race around 9 pm so we randomly walked in to Richmond Republic. Luckily they had some tables available that had perfect views of the TV. The servers graciously switched two TVs to the race. We ordered some food also -- poutine, house burger, garlic bacon burger. Poutine was alright, looking back I think I would have preferred just regular fries because they were crispy (I tried my friend's fries). What could have been a less-than-pleasant review has turned into a 4/5 stars for me thanks to one of the co-owners jumping in to take care of us. It was 1pm on a Saturday, when we came in the server working told me to order at the bar if I wanted to sit outside. He didn't bother to mention that they're only serving the brunch menu and the hard copy menu I grabbed from a table didn't have dates/times specified for service hours. Turns out they're ONLY serving brunch at 1pm... and NONE of the items we wanted (including my starving toddler) were available. I'm super appreciative of the co-owner who followed us outside and offered to check in with the chef about food options. The kitchen made my kiddo mac 'n' cheese and salmon tacos, saving my sanity. This was completely unexpected and changed my perception of the restaurant. This cozy pub in Inner Richmond is a gem! They offer an amazing selection of craft beers, especially IPAs, which we love. They often have tap takeover events, so there's always something new to try. Their breakfast burritos. As SoCal natives from OC/LA, we have high standards for a good breakfast burrito, and this is hands-down the best we've had in the city. Came here after a long hike at Lands End and they had some seating near the window so we were able to be seated immediately. Service was quick -- they came over to ask if we needed any drinks and later asked for our order. I got a burger and fries. They made sure everyone's order came at the same time so no one was left waiting. We had high hopes, as the vibe was great and the Friday night atmosphere drew us in. We are local to the Inner Richmond and thought the vibe was cool....it all fell apart from there. They apparently were extremely overwhelmed and not keeping up with what seemed like a normal busy night. Sitting at the bar usually means attentive service, but not in this case, It felt we were troubling the bar tenders and in their way. We ordered a couple beers and a Med Rare burger to share. Burger came back well done and no fries. Typically a server will ask if you want fries even if they were not included. We were not. When asking for another beer, the bar tender looked at me as if I was asking if I could sleep with his wife. I thought he wanted to fight me. After a 10-15 min wait the bar tender brought the beer and literally threw it at my wife. We asked to have he beer removed from the bill and paid our check and walked out. Wont be back. read more

And I think it's fair to say that we all sort of imagine the same thing when we order chicken strips (aka, chicken tenders, chicken fingers). This is what I got. To be fair, these are strips of chicken. It came with tots. I kind of feel like the item description should have been "tots with side of 4 pieces of slicked chicken salad topper". The take out container was FILLED with tots. And then this sadness on top. This seems disingenuous at BEST. But $14, really??? The food menu was huge, has all your classic pub food like burgers, sandwiches, nachos, etc. I tried the elote Mac and cheese and it was one of the best Mac and cheeses I've ever had! Had some cayenne pepper for some spice, and a great cheese sauce with bits of corn for a nice crunch. The portion was huge and I was only able to get through half of it. Went over here on the weekend to watch the Bay FC (womens soccer team) game vs Angel City there was a ton of people and the atmosphere was amazing. There is an upstairs place where there is tons of TVs to watch the game and hang out with friends. The service here is quick and accommodating we didn't order any drinks nor food though because we had a late lunch right before the game.
