Probably the best chocolate cherries you'll ever taste - every time someone visits me from Seattle I ask them to bring me a bag and every time I visit Seattle I buy at least two. The "cherry bombs" are my favorite thing to get at the market. They are the slightly less than perfect looking candies but taste as good as they more symmetrical counterparts and come at a much lower price point. It's pricey, even for the "oops" cherries, but wow are the chipotle chocolate cherries amazing! We were able to experience Chukar Cherries on the Savor Seattle food tour, and fell in love. the cherries here are unique. i think our faves were the milk chocolate covered honey pecans (this was the only non-berry thing we tried) and the raspberry flavored white chocolate cherry. the small packs of chocolate covered cherries were about $10. quite expensive for half a pound. they had cherry bombs bits n' pieces, a one pound bag. these are a mix of all the different kinds of cherries that were oddly shaped, etc. we opted for that so that we could get all kinds of variety. these were $12 or 2 for $20. since we did savor seattle, we had a 10% off card. we paid $20 total. i don't think we really got 10% off.. but at least there was a special gift of the dark cabernet chocolate covered cherries for coming back after the savor seattle tour. that was nice since i actually saw the same sized little box at the airport for $4.99 each. out of the cherry bombs bits n' pieces, i really really liked the chocolate covered cherry with chile...i want to say that it had cayenne pepper (?) but i don't really know.. love spicy chocolate!! I love the many cherry items that this little store offers, and I regret not getting even more when I stopped by when visiting the Public Market Center. They have great deals when you get multiple items, and they even offer flat rate shipping if you can't pack everything you purchased here in your luggage. Their best items in my opinion are the tart/sour cherry items. Their Totally Tarts dried sour cherries are to die for and I will definitely have to order some more for family online, we can't get enough! Their dark chocolate covered sour cherries are absolutely divine as well. Their sour cherry preserve goes great with butter and is great for breakfast or for pairing at a wine and cheese table. I also highly recommend the Black Forest Cherries, which are dried bing cherries covered with chocolate, which is then coated with delicious cocoa powder. The best part about this shop is that you can sample many of their awesome snack items, like the dried cherries and chocolate covered goods! Overall, if you love dried fruits and nut goods along with chocolate snacks, I strongly recommend stopping by because I can almost guarantee that you will find something you love. read more

I normally don't buy chocolates these expensive if they're not in a box; the extra presentational touches can really trick a consumer into thinking they're buying something special. But Chukar doesn't need any fancy box, because most likely you'll down the whole bag in a matter of days. My favorite is the cabernet variety, which pairs a sour cherry with dark chocolate. The sweetness and tartness of the cherry marries beautifully with the deep richness of the chocolate, and the lack of sweetness in the chocolate actually accentuates that jammy sweetness in the cherry. I have big problems with fruit being paired with chocolate (on most occasions I abhor the chocolate-strawberry setup), but this one is a winner. read more

I believe I heard about Chukar Cherries on the Food Network. I made a mental note to stop buy for a sample on my trip to Seattle. CC is located in the Pike Place Market. The have a chalkboard with the samples they are offering for the day. I tried the Cabernet Chocolate Cherries and a chocolate, cinnamon covered espresso bean. I wish I would have bought those beans! I bought a small bag of truffle chocolate cherries for my bf as he's a chocoholic. These are not cheap by any means, the small bag was $9. Cherries: I hate, Too Much chocolate: I hate........ BUT OMG, their truffle cherry chocolate was so perfect. Never tried chocolate or cherry that tasted that good. Made me sad to think that I have been missing out on this delicious treat for so much of my life. The caramelized pecan one was delicious as well. 9ish dollars per bag so it's kinda pricey but it is worth your money. You still savor each piece. Loved this place. We did a food tour, yes someone living near Seattle did a food tour, and this was one of the stops. They told us the story of the company and gave us samples of their popular items. Loved every sample and bought some chocolate covered cherries. They vanished before leaving Seattle. Recommend anyone visiting or living here stop by their area. read more

These are my favorite chocolate cherries! They are creamier that most chocolate cherries while still holding their shape. They are addicting! Once you buy a bag, you won't be able to eat other chocolate cherries without comparing them to Chukar Cherries. It is also a great gift to send to out of town family or friends. Um duh. Don't think you can get more delicious than Chukar Cherries. They have all kinds of samples and even if you have to push the tourists aside to get to them, they are well worth it. Fairly good chocolate covered cherries. Wonderful assortment of flavors and combination to choose from. I'm a fan of juicier cherries than the ones packaged by Chukar. Visited Chukar while on a Savior Food Tour and had a grand time visiting their store at Pike's Market Place. Brought plenty packages home with me for the holidays but never got to the point that I wanted to buy more online, so with that said I guess I'm not a head-over-hands fan. Shopping for gifts for our dogsitters led us to (where else) Pike. Spices, vegetables and more vegetables. We then passed Chukar's sizable booth. I wasn't aware that cherry salsa was a thing, but these guys have figured out a ton of uses for them. We walked out with about $15 worth of chocolate covered cherries, decent sized boxes. The staff was very willing to engage and answer questions about their products.
