We stopped by on a Saturday with a craving for chocolate. When we arrived the employee was sitting on a beautiful couch on her phone. She got behind the counter and we explained that we hadn't been in before and were looking for chocolates to share (we are a family of 4 with two young kids). The employee told us which ones were favorites but didn't offer us any samples. I'm disappointed now that I see others' reviews that state they were given tons of samples. After reviewing several items we told her we didn't want any with alcohol, which limited our choices. You can't buy the truffles individually, you can only buy them in a box of two for about $9 each. We still purchased 3 boxes and took them home to try. Unfortunately one had a lot of kahlua in it which was disappointing, considering we asked for non-boozy chocolates. I had no idea they offered hot chocolate as the employee didn't mention it. I thought the pistachio was really good, though my husband just felt it was mediocre. There are so many chocolate stores in Seattle that I don't think I will be returning to this one.

What a wonderfully warm and inviting atmosphere for a decidedly refined experience. Pepper was the lady who assisted us and was beyond engaging. She was extremely articulate in describing the chocolates and then providing samples. The chocolates did not disappoint. Soft, creamy and expertly balanced with the four different flavors we tried. Pumpkin spice (aka Tom & Jerry) was like New England the the fall. Warm and inviting. A velvety texture fills your mouth while autumn flavors abound. The Pot de Ganache - Macallan 12 is near and dear to my heart as that is one of my favorite scotches. And unlike some places with lesser craftsmanship, there wasn't a gooey middle but rather an infusion of the scotch throughout making for an extremely even and delicious taste. The Munich which is a devilishly delightful milk chocolate truffle. Your mouth will be begging for more. Vanilla - Fireweed Honey & Spiced Rum. Simply put, they were insanely delicious. Do yourself a favor and stop in and experience excellent personalized service, while experiencing the best chocolates and confections.

Yummy! I was educated on many different varieties of chocolates today. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great chocolates and service. Hot chocolate drink is a must.

    Mocha. Soooooo good.

I have walked by this place a ton of times and never felt the need to walk in. I had some family visiting, and they were interested in checking it out so we finally stopped in. We were initially just planning to grab a coffee, but the man working started offering us samples and teaching us about the business. It was very clear they were passionate about their product. We ended up sampling 5-6 of their chocolates and they were all amazing. My favorites were the rose & the scotch. We ended up purchasing a couple items, which really were fairly priced considering the quality or the chocolate and the experience we were provided. We also tried their mocha. It is made with half a bar of their dark chocolate. It was so rich and delicious it was a dessert in itself. This is a super fun place to check out. It really is an experience!

If there ever is a true definition of boutique chocolates, Seleuss Chocolates would be the little picture in that dictionary. Lóng concocts all the flavorings himself, with a bend towards Parisian notes and a strong focus towards liquor pairing. Flavors are NOT for the sugar driven palettes. The pieces are crafted first via the ganache. Notes of rose, fig, fruit blossoms, liquor infusions dominate their offerings. All their ganache are coated in dark chocolates. Don't even ask for caramels. Read the card (see photo) for a good laugh about sea salt caramels, milk chocolate, and sugar as cheap ingredients used in the industry. This location is their main store in downtown. For your first visit, be patient and enjoy their process. Read the notebook that has their different flavors. They offer sampling of their ganache. Taste whatever you like before buying. They have drinking chocolates that I didn't get to this visit, but will certainly do so in the future. Chocolates are sold in 2 piece boxes ($8) or pre-assembled assortments. No per-piece-fill-a-box type of purchase. Our favorites were their award winning Rose and their Fig. Fig is such a rare offering in the U.S., so it was a particular pleasure to find it. My only ding, which is more of a personal taste, is that I wish the chocolate shell is a tad thicker. I like a higher dose of chocolate per ganache bite.

    Love the packaging!!!

Their hot chocolate is to die for. They put the entire bar in it. The owner is a very friendly person and tells you the story about each of the chocolates on display. You get the samples before actually buying it. The collection is really cool and worth. The interiors are pretty as well.

They mostly do Mexican-style hot chocolates, made with all natural ingredients. The menu has a large variety of drinks to choose from. I'll admit, the prices are kinda high but for the unique product you're getting, I can understand. Also, I will warn you, many of the drinks have ground-up ingredients mixed in, so you might be chewing a bit on them as you drink, but I think that adds to the authenticity. It's part of the experience. I discovered Rey Amargo a couple years ago when I was walking around Cap Hill and they were offering samples on the sidewalk. It was the cardamom hot chocolate... at first taste, I knew I'd never forget this drink, and had to return to this place. The Spicy Mexican Mocha is another of my favorites. Smooth, a little smoky, a spicy background, and just enough coffee. If you ever stop at the café, the beverages are served in simple yet classy tall mugs. It's nice to just sit and sip while I stare out the window and let my mind escape.

We loved the Xocolatl; it is 100% Mexican cacao blended in water that looks like a warm chocolate soup, and comes with a chili, vanilla syrup, cinnamon and pepper that you can put in yourself depending on how much you want. It was very interesting, bitter, spicy, and complex, not sweet at all! It also made the perfect dipping sauce for the churros, which were deliciously crunchy with generous cinnamon and sugar. We shared an iced mint flavored Mexican hot chocolate as well, which was refreshing and perfectly balanced. This little hot chocolate cafe is well worth the street parking! I highly recommend stopping by to try both familiar and unique flavors at a great price.

The soup was really amazing. I don't often like tomato soup but this was the exception. Chunks of tomato and a full flavor without a lot of spices. The crème brûlée was warmed and freshly caramelized on top. This is not made in advance and just refrigerated which seems to be more common these days. The hot chocolate hit the spot! Options for no -dairy alternatives were offered which I almost forgot to ask. Liked the atmosphere, spacious and high ceilings. The staff was very friendly and nice. They had a rush when they opened and didn't seem unusual for them. The candied orange was a nice touch.
