A Big Shout Out to Jon, at Churchill's Hardware for going the Extra Mile in helping me out with my pool filter bracket by chasing the threads on the bolt for my pool filter bracket and providing a better option for the nut to tighten it down. THEIR PELLETS ARE LEGIT!!! If you live close to the store, you're doing yourself a disservice by driving all the way to HD. I think this is my 3rd winter using Churchill for pellets. Great local hardware store. Big store variety with small town service and prices. The staff always goes out of their way to help me and my family out. On multiple occasions they've held the store open or let us in after hours to get much needed items (salt for icing, batteries for flashlights and even keys made for a family member coming into town). From now on if anything is needed from a hardware store we are surely going to support Churchill's Hardware in our local community! From the time I walked into the store I was greeted by both staff members-a friendly lady and gentleman. Both asked me at different times if there was anything they could help me find. I mentioned I was looking for duct tape and was informed where to find them. I also noticed the owner or manager walking about taking care of the floor displays and keeping the store in clean and tidy presentation. At the check out the cashier asked me if I had a membership card and invited me to join. He gave me the benefits of being a member and said he could take care of signing me up in just a few minutes. Asked for my birth month and said on Mother's Day and my birth month I'll receive coupons in the mail! What was going to be a quick stop just to buy duct tape and masking tape turned out to take a bit longer. I wasn't expecting a neighborhood store to have full inventory of products so decided to walk the aisles to see what this store supplies. No the staff is not wearing masks. Also the young girls had no masks on and they were inappropriately dressed. They didn't know were anything was. Absolutely recommend this hardware store. I was putting 2 completely new irrigation systems in my yard and other than doing some research on line I really didn't know much about putting in irrigation. I wish I could remember his name but I am absolutely terrible with names but one of the managers spent at least 45 minutes walking me through the different types of systems, heads, and nozzles. They were extremely busy too and yet he did not hesitate to take all the time he needed to help me out. He helped me understand how to build my system depending on what heads and nozzles I used. In the end I was able to purchase everything I needed in confidence. Had I gone to one of the big box stores I would have had little to no help and I would have just guessed as to what heads and nozzles to use and in the end would have most likely made twice as many trips and spent twice as much money just guessing what I needed. I finished my irrigation systems yesterday and they work great! I have many more projects coming up and I will be going to Churchill's for all of my hardware needs. If you have a project that you want to take on but you are not super sure how to go about it, go talk to the staff at Churchill's and they will make sure you get what you need! read more

Every time I have been in the store since the pandemic started last February, none of the employees was ever wearing a mask. I would like to patronize the business but don't feel safe while in there. It is too bad because I would like to support local business instead of going to a chain hardware store. I have to say I was much more impressed with the safety protocols in place at the ACE in Cameron Park where everyone was masked, the register has Plexiglas screening and there were plenty of sanitizers, signage for social distancing and all the right stuff. Churchill Hardware is a huge asset to my community. They have everything that I need when I'm working on projects around the home. They always have great sales and I often find items at a better price then down the hill. On top of that they are always willing to help identify and find a solution for your needs. I have 2 recent experiences that prove my point: 1st- Recently, while watching my grandsons (4 & 1). I decided to take on a craft project with them for their Dad's birthday, but I had no idea what to do. While looking around, the owner Jon and I started brainstorming. I ended up with an adorable bird house decorated with hand print memories. 2nd - My son bought a new "kiddie pool" for my large lab but didn't think through how he was going to get it home (it wouldn't fit in his car). Jon saw him struggling, he asked where he lived (about a mile away), threw it in his truck and dropped it off at our house. The Churchill's are a great example of why I love living in a small town! A little gold mine if you live up the hill and just need that small part in the middle your repair and do not feel like driving to the large retail box store down the hill. Prices are a little more, but they try to say competitive and if you take into account the gas you save you'll brake even. Always well staffed and eager to help. BEST HARDWARE STORE EVER! We recently had a new quartz countertop and two undermount sinks installed. My faucets came in and I decided to install them myself. I've installed new faucets before, but this time I ran into a few problems. The first sink was lined up under the sink and was super easy to connect everything, but the second faucet became a problem. I took pictures of my problem and Jon told me what needed to be done and said he could cut and glue the pieces that needed to be adjusted to fit my new sink drain. He spent at least a half hour cutting, fitting, glueing, but when I tried to fit it all together it still wasn't going to work (my fault NOT HIS). He then told me what to do and it worked easy peasy! Passing through with a tree attached to the roof of our vehicle we decided to stop and get better tie downs. This was right off the freeway easy to get to. Walked in and paint the manager asked what he could help us with, took us directly to the tie-downs, offered some suggestions and left us to decide. In and out no trouble. Long story short. The owner of this hardware store just went out of his way to help me.. I pulled into Churchill hoping they would be open. It was 1 hour after the posted closing time. There was a gentleman standing in the parking lot conducting some business. I asked him if there was any chance he had a car jack I could purchase. My truck had just blown a tire I hyw 50 and I was in desperate need.. He replied " No. You can barrow my jack for free.. in fact if you can make it around back I will let you use my impact wrench as well.." That's is an amazing response from an amazing business man.. I went in to purchase a bolt extractor and tap set, the owner John actually took the time to help, he drill-out the broken bolt and re-tapped the threads for me in his basement shop at the store- no charge!... I've been meaning to write this review for a while. This store is the best. Unbelievable, knowledgeable, friendly service... I had an old mower that wasn't starting and came in to get a new spark plug. The owner, John, took about an hour with me in the parking lot, helping me gap the spark plug and take apart the mower to clean out the old gas buildup that had gathered in the fuel line. All this with no extra charge or fee. By the end of the visit, the mower was starting and working like a charm. John and his staff are very enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable.
