Churn is a local restaurant chain that serves ice creams, coffees, and some other foods and beverages. This location opened a few years ago. The ice-cream menu lists several staple flavors of handcrafted ice creams as well as over 15 custom flavors that vary daily. These ice creams can be made into milkshakes, ice-cream floats, banana splits, etcetera. The coffee menu lists several types of coffees: drip coffee, iced coffee, frappes, lattes, espressos, etcetera. Prices are average. During my visit, an employee immediately greeted my husband and me, waited patiently while we selected our flavors of ice cream, correctly assembled our bowls of ice cream, and accurately rung up our purchase. I ordered one scoop of black raspberry and one scoop of caramel pretzel, and my husband ordered one scoop of double-fudge Pop-tart. We liked the flavors, but our pieces of pretzel and Pop-tart were soggy.

Friendly staff, tons of flavor shot offerings for neat lattes and coffee additions, and nice sit down space. Ordered the bananas foster iced coffee which I think was a blend of banana crème and something else. Leaned sweet but I added cinnamon and some milk after trying it and it was perfect. I'll definitely be back to explore the latte selection!

Ok so we were a tad bit late to discovering Churn. My daughter was at cheer and I wanted to treat my son to ice cream. We went to Gibsonia first and then wanted to try this one. This is our FAVE! So there is ice cream the there is ICE CREAM @ CHURN!!! OMG I think they use like super addicting powder and magical pixie dust to make there ice cream because it is the best thing I have ever tasted!!! There are few things I would compare to being as good as "adult time" with my wife if you know what I mean but this is definitely one of them. Now the price is a little steep in my honest opinion but it is soooo worth it. The servings are huge and often messy over the edges but when you get it hurry up and attack the overhang and you'll save yourself a huge mess. We have tried so many on their flavors but my favorite is probably the regular strawberry because it has such a real flavor to it. It is t heavily sugary or syrupy it's just a delightful ice cream. Second favorite of mine is the lavender vanilla. Sounds weird for something you'll eat but it is amazing to your tastebuds and light and refreshing! Almost made wax melts sound tempting hahahaha JK DO NOT EAT WAX MELTS! My wife's favorite flavors are the Oreo cookie dough and the lavender vanilla. My son loves their chocolate with rainbows sprinkles. My daughter loves the birthday cake and the cotton candy. My wife has gotten their lattes and said they were good but they are definitely a tad bit expensive. We also have had their tea sweetened and lavender flavored and it was delicious and delightful. If you are looking for handmade amazing ice cream drive to Churn, start with a single scoop and go up from there to learn what portion you like the best.

I must say, Churn ranks pretty high on my list of ice cream spots. Nestled right outside of Pittsburgh, this place boasts a great selection of homemade ice cream, and other coffee related items. I think I might have the biggest sweet tooth out of anyone I know, and it was very much satisfied. As far as the flavors, there were a ton of interesting combinations that I'll be back to try at a later date. This trip I ended up getting a strawberry Oreo milkshake with oat milk. Not to be confused with the classic Oreo with strawberry filling but an actual strawberry flavored Oreo made into ice cream. If you are in the area, I'd highly recommend this place to anyone. Staff is amazing/super positive during these uncertain times.

We stopped here this morning for coffee on our way to Beechwood Nature Preserve and actually ended up coming back for ice cream after. Churn has a seasonal fall menu that was just released this weekend. During our first visit I got the pumpkin pie chai latte at the recommendation of the very helpful girl behind the counter and, I kid you not, it tasted like a spicy warm pumpkin pie. I drank it slowly because I didn't want it to be done. That's how good we're talking. I tried my husband's apple brown cinnamon sugar latte and it was also excellent. I had the black raspberry ice cream and it was so creamy it almost pulled like a soft serve. The kids were totally silent while eating their ice cream which is always a sign that something is good. If you get a kid's cup it's served in a special blue cup with a rounded lid which helps keep kids' hands cleaner. If you're in the area it's definitely worth stopping in.

A great spot for both coffee and ice cream. Two of my favorite things!! Great selection of both that change frequently, so each visit is a different experience. Ample indoor seating for a morning coffee and chat chat with a friend and a few outdoor tables to allow for an relaxing dessert to watch the sun set.

Back again, tell a friend! (Sorry if this review is random…read moreat times hehe.) I can't stop raving about this place and I plan to try the other bean thru's in the area than just this location. I really need to try other parts of their menu but today I selected the emerald dream with oat milk (hot) and a matcha lavender latte (iced). I am such a newb here (it's my second time) that I need to study up their menu more and fully know what I want before I pull up. I am also scared of their tip jug by the window but I am not one that goes through the drive thru at places. The service is always amazing and they are so kind when I am so awkward or dead. I think today wins with the dead vibe as I barely got any sleep last night. I don't mind the wait but then I feel bad when I'm the one that is taking up the line compared to the other side. I wish I stopped by this place when they had their green tea chiller as it sounds so interesting but it's okay, I will find some type of drink that makes me want to come back (outside of ED). The espresso bean is such a chef 's kiss on each drink that I didn't even realize that it came in white chocolate. I plan on getting a bag if I remember the next time I'm there. It's like not too sweet, not bitter, and it has a good fresh taste. I am very picky when it comes to my chocolate covered beans but I really do enjoy that nice little surprise. Even the cute little flower on my hot drink made me feel like they do value you as a customer compared to other places. It's the little things that make a day better! Also, don't forget about your loyalty card or if you're new, ask for one.

This coffee shop is located right on Freeport Road in Blawnox. The inside is cozy, with photos on the walls, a couple of pastry cases, and a wall full of plants and plant-themed artwork. The bright wood tables, arranged in a herringbone pattern, paired nicely with the baby blue chairs and gave the shop a welcoming feel. After seeing that they exclusively served Rosa beans and seemed very proud of that, both my wife and I decided to order Americanos. My wife chose hers iced while I went with mine hot. My daughter ordered a cinnamon swirl, and I added a chicken empanada. About five minutes later our entire order was ready, and we headed back to the car. I started with the empanada. It had a nice flaky crust, and the chicken filling had good flavor, although it was a little on the dry side. My daughter didn't share her cinnamon swirl, but she assured me that it was good. After finishing my empanada, I moved on to my coffee and thought it was excellent. It opened with a touch of bitterness before settling into a smooth, rich coffee flavor that I really enjoyed. I was hoping to pick up some distinctive varietal notes on the finish but wasn't able to find any. Even so, it was still a very enjoyable cup of coffee. My wife also enjoyed her iced Americano. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our coffees, and the food made for a nice accompaniment as well.

Definitely worth going out of your way for this one.
