One of my favorite things to do in TJ is no longer just tacos. The Churrascaria in TJ is not only good it's affordable and doesn't break the bank. Post covid so many Brazilian steak houses have doubled their cost and while this may also have happened south of the border, the churrascaria is quality, the service is great and the options even better than what I had in Las Vegas this week and for half the price in TJ.

¡Altamente recomendado!

A must try if you're visiting Tijuana! We came to this restaurant because of a recommendation and were not disappointed we did. We've been curious to try other Brazilian steakhouses in the US but could never bring ourselves to spend $60+ per person considering I'm not a big fan of buffets or meat. But this place is only about $22 per person (dependent on the conversion rate) and so worth it! They have so many different beef, seafood, and chicken options. All the staff is super attentive constantly asking if you need more drink or if there's a specific cut of meat you're looking for. Chicken isn't a super popular cut at a steakhouse but they would put it on the grill if I asked and brought it straight out of the kitchen to the table. Ambiance is a mix of people. We've only gone during lunch and it's a mix of casual and some folks who are here for special occasions. I imagine dinner is a bit fancier and more celebrations but honestly no one cares. The restaurant is fairly large with indoor and screened in outdoor seating. There's complimentary valet (a tip is usually nice) and their lot is huge. Favorites Cut: pollo Al limon, picanha, costilla norteña and baby beef Buffet ítems: pasta en chipotle, baby potatoes and the mayo chimichurri Desserts: variety of fruit, crème brûlée

The meats that were brought out were overcooked , the salad bar was adequate as was the dessert bar. The service was excellent as was the ambiance...however I probably never come back for dinner here.

Muy buen servicio La comida de 10 Cortes de carne excelente Y tienen área de niños Con servicio de valet parking incluido

It's very nice place to have a date dinner. All of the meat season is good. Great customer services. Also they have a good selection on salad bar and also dessert. Everything is so good. They also have seafood (shrimp and octopus) and they cook it perfectly.

I have been to these types of restaurants throughout Brazil. The meat in Brazil is excellent so I expected this place to not be at that level. They have a huge display of salads, which is typical with these kinds of restaurants in Brazil. The waiters walk around with freshly cooked meats. They have a passion fruit chicken, which I've never had in Brazil. The passion fruit chicken is very dry. The meats are over cooked but the sirloin steak is probably the best piece of meat they offer, but I wish they would serve it less cooked. The picanha cut needed salt and was a bit tough. The cheese bread, which is typical in Brazil is pretty good. The pear salad was really good. The service is excellent and that is what pushed my review to 5 stars. I am sorry for doing this but I need to remove my 5 star review. I got really bad food poisoning at this location. I immediately told the manager, she brought me the bill and said sorry but did not reduce the bill at all.

The selection of meat was very basic. I def should have checked on that before considering going. We kept getting offered sausage, tripe and burnt chicken. All those meats were over cooked for my liking. We also got picana and asked for filet mignon asked for medium, came out ok but burnt edges. It made it hard to eat. The carving portions were small kinda annoying to have to constantly wait or flag down a server for more. The meat was bland not even a little salt and pepper. Just not it. The buffet part was def not up to parr either. The salads look unappetizing, old. Same goes with all or most of the dishes that were offered. Ceviche, pastas, meat dishes. The kid friendly options were ok but even my kids didn't approve the pasta. We also had sangria which was ok, tasted more like a sour sparkling water. We didn't get a drink menu so we just kinda asked what they offer and opted for sangria. They have a kids room with an attendant which was pretty cool. It's the only reason my kids want to go back. The ambiance is decent. Not too loud, TVs around gave it a bar feel a bit. I wasn't expecting that. I believe the place is priced a little more on the higher side for what they offer. It didn't meet my expectations in food or service. I think it would be helpful to keep a better eye on buffet food. Wilted salads are not a good look. Provide more communication on what is offered for protein in this case. I don't go to Tijuana too often but when I do, I try a new restaurant. Stay tune for the next one.

Nice presentation . All the food on the salad bar tasted great. When we sat back down we had the meats start to arrive. Wow all the meats, chicken, fish ,and pork were cooked perfect no complaints. The $10 picanha burger was the highlight of the meal. It was huge, cooked perfectly, and incredibly juicy. I honestly couldn't believe they were serving a burger of that quality for only $10. It's easily one of the best happy hour deals I've found. We also ordered the giant beef rib instead of the filet mignon. The beef rib was tender, flavorful, and definitely worth trying, but after seeing the filet on other tables, we'll be ordering that next time. The only item I probably wouldn't get again was the sauced chicken legs. They were good, but the sauce overpowered the chicken, so that's mostly what I tasted. The $10 cocktails were another pleasant surprise. They were well-made, refreshing, and a great value. One thing we really appreciated was the atmosphere. Since this location isn't right in the middle of the Gaslamp, it felt much more relaxed and quieter than the surrounding area, making it the perfect place to unwind after a busy day at Comic-Con. The service was also fantastic. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and our server checked in on us several times without ever making us feel rushed. Overall, Fogo de Chão's happy hour is an incredible value. Great food, great drinks, excellent service, and a calm atmosphere make this an easy place to recommend. Even though it wasn't busy, it took about 15 minutes to get our drinks. The guacamole was the star of the meal--fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I've had. It was absolutely delicious! The carne asada fries, however, were a huge disappointment. For $24.99, there was barely any carne asada on them. They were mostly French fries with cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, cilantro, and sour cream, with very little meat. They also lacked flavor and definitely weren't worth the price. The new interior design is beautiful and much more modern. It makes it inviting from the start. Service was great all around from management, to our server, to the hostess, to the gauchos. We were repeatedly asked if there were any specific items we wanted brought out, which we really appreciated. My favorites were the BBQ pork ribs and the picanha top sirloin. There are a couple options for Brazilian steakhouses downtown, each having it's own positives. For Rei Do Gado the stand outs are the service, the salad bar (the most hot options I have seen), and the price! I also really liked that the salad bar had a couple of dipping sauce options especially the Rei Do Gado sauce. I also noticed that the usual sides that are automatically brought out at Brazilian steakhouses such as the fried bananas are part of their salad bar here. Our waiters were friendly and very attentive, consistently making sure our drinks were refilled and our plates cleared without us having to ask. While the service truly stood out, the food quality was a bit underwhelming. The salad bar offered a wide variety of options, but the quality didn't quite match the variety--it was nothing extraordinary. For the main course, we opted for their top "all you can eat" meat selection. The meat itself was decent but didn't impress beyond that. The ribeye was the highlight of the evening, although it was served infrequently. On the other hand, the filet mignon we tried was somewhat dry. Considering the price, you might find a better steak dinner elsewhere. However, if you're looking to sample a variety of meats with unlimited access to a salad bar, Rei Do Gado could be a good choice. Overall, it's a solid option for those who value variety and attentive service, even if the food quality isn't exceptional.
