Yay! I'm a fan perfectly describes how I feel about Chuy's. I LOVE the deluxe tomatillo sauce. I like the deluxe enchiladas that come with this sauce, but I've also tried it on other things. The food is consistent, the waiters are always friendly, and typically really attentive. The salsa they bring is too spicy for me, and I keep eating it anyway. Its rare I have to ask for anything, because they usually get it right the first time. For the price, I think this place is great. Best Chimichanga's that I have ever tasted. I go to the DFW area many times throughout the year and Chuys' is my first and last stop every time. The staff are polite and will assist you in anyway possible, if you are new to Tex-Mex cuisine. I have dined at several different Chuys' locations and each offer you the same, second-to-none accommodations. Clean, great variety, and tremendously gracious host. As for their prices, you will fill like you found the best bargain in town. I was invited by friends to meet for happy hour. Ate from the nacho bar, which is served from the trunk of a 57 Chevy. Very cool ... And yummy nachos with hot salsa. The rest of the decor is also fun, from the hubcaps hanging on the ceiling to the framed photos of patron's pups. I will go back again, even if I'm not invited by friends for happy hour. The food was ok and the service was great, but five minutes away we called to go on the waitlist and was told that this Chuy's doesn't have a waitlist. Well much to our surprise there was a waitlist! This is a great place to get some delicious and fairly cheap mexican food. A person can definitely eat for under ten bucks here (assuming you don't get a delicious margarita). Great beef and chicken dishes... haven't tried any fish. Their queso is very very good. Just don't go here on a saturday night. Wow .... Chuys .. The first time I visited chuys I was appauled by the interesting choice of decor. They have a lot going on in there, it appears to be a collectors item garage sale. However it comes off as a fun and exciting place. They keep the place pretty clean and they have great perks for the peak eating times. Such as their free nacho bar that has yummy queso, seasoned beef, beans, and tasty flavorful salsa... Partically the best salsa I have ever had.... This nacho bar is great when it comes down to hungry folks waiting to get a table, because it is open to everybody. My favorite appetizer that I typically order for my entree are the deluxe chicken quesadilla... and I cant seem to ever leave there without ordering their infamous tres leches cake.... woooo doggy.... it is huge and absolutely delicious.... let me get off yelp and make my way that way now....Cause I am craving some Tres Leches :) read more

The food is way too spicy here. I asked the server if that enchilada dish is spicy because it is Tex Mex and she said not really. Should have known because she also seemed to be in a hurry to take our order. It is noisy on a weeknight. To finish off the meal, our server kept my change when I paid cash. Does she not know how to make change or did she just take it upon herself to keep the change? I should have asked her about it and not just let it go. I won't be back to this Chuy's. The first one I patronized is in the San Antonio area. I was visiting then and my cousin took me there for dinner. That one seemed fine. Chuy's has always been my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant. The environment is high energy, fun, and very colorful. The food is always fresh and delicious and anything you order is guaranteed to be tasty. They work very quickly, and the wait for tables is always less than what they tell you. The food always comes out quickly as well considering they are always busy and I have never not seen them have a full house. Again even so, the wait is never very long. Chuys always does a great job on Togo orders, no surprise there. I would just like to inform the public that the margaritas that are order Togo from Chuys, and all other competitors, aren't what you would buy in store. This has become our favorite go-to for Tex-Mex. We don't care for the bland, Jalisco style food. This has tons of flavor. Not a fan of Tex-Mex sauces? Chuy's has several different sauces to choose from. Choice of rice, choice of beans. Something for everyone. The tacos are very crisp and packed full of meat. The salsa was amazing. The ambiance was striking. It made me feel like, going home and packing my bags to go back to Cozumel. Spencer was my server, and was very attentive to my needs. I decided on the Enchilada and Taco dinner, which Spencer served expeditiously, nice and hot, and re-filled my drink before even finishing off the previous one. My only complaint was after leaving Chuy's. I found myself back in Arlington instead of Cozumel or Xelha... Spencer thanks for the journey... I love Chuy's but when there's a 30+ minute wait and the manager's friend cuts in line dont think we don't all notice. The chicken tomatillo enchilladas are the best. It's a Saturday evening and restaurants are bursting with folks waiting to be seated; this Arlington Chuy's was no exception. To my surprise, we were seated within 5 minutes because we were a table for two which I took as a good sign. Pulling out my chair, I received a squishy surprise..... warm guacamole covered my fingers. The person that sat us stared. I broke his stare by asking for some napkins which he obliged. Now it seems that everywhere I go, I'm seated at the "invisible" table. It took several minutes to have someone come over for our drink order but we finally flagged our server down. At this point he seemed slightly put out that we'd actually like to go ahead and place our food order because, you know, we'd been sitting there for awhile. The ordering process was confusing to me. Disclosure: I am from Houston and can walk into any Houston Chuy's, place my usual order and not get confused looks. I ordered the #4 with a chicken relleno and classic tex mex enchilada. What about this order is complicated? My server was thoroughly confused. I hoped he could maybe just say this to the kitchen and I'd get just that. We also asked for the creamy jalapeño dip which we had to beg for a second time. To our horror, we each scooped a giant chip full of cilantro sour cream! What the??!!!! Never never have we gotten dip made this way, not even at Austin's Barton Chuy's! By the way, we detest sour cream. Creamy jalapeño is one of the best things about Chuy's and now it's ruined (sad face). Excitement came a few minutes later in the form of exactly what I ordered. Unfortunately the excitement was short lived because my chicken relleno had one, two inch shred of chicken in it.... not exaggerating. I ate everything on my plate but left EXTREMELY grateful that I don't live here because I would hate Chuy's! Maybe it's something in the water which could also explain Cowboys fans. Just kidding (Go Texans!) I forgot to mention that the server came back later and looked at me. I raised my eyebrows and he finally said, I forgot to check your id (we ordered margaritas that tasted like snow cone). I'm here with my 22 year old daughter and look every bit of my 40 something years but sure, it's his job I guess. Chuy's is one of favorite Tex-Mex restaurant. I was introduced to this restaurant buy one of my coworkers. And to this day I visit Chuy's at least once a week. The service there is always over the top. The ambiance of it is well aligned with the menu. They offer you complimentary chips and salsa upon your arrival which is usually good, sometimes it is just right and sometimes it is very spicy. My favorite item on the menu is the "big as your face burrito" omg this is one of the most flavorful burritos known to man. I add the Tex-mex topping to it and that just sets it off. In my opinion I think the menu is well priced for what you get and I will continue to frequent this restaurant to fulfill my Tex-mex cravings. read more

First and Foremost I came here on a Saturday and in my opinion you can never judge a restaurant by how they are on the weekends cause if it's a popular restaurant like chuys, they will have a huge crowd on Friday and Saturday nights so I know that's it's very hard catering to customers every need but I was impressed because the wait staffs and chuys were very accommodating. I was excited to go to Chuy's since I have heard many good stories about this place. My boyfriend and I went to Chuy's on a Friday night, our first mistake. It was so busy and loud that we could barely understand each other without having to yell. There was a wait before we could sit, which is understandable for the time we went. When we finally got to our table we were put in an awkward spot behind a wall and practically forgotten that we were even there. People who arrived after us got food before us. I always get the big as your head burrito when we go here. It good but I've think the fajita beef is a bit fatty. The bean are great so is the rice and I like to get tomatillo sauce on my burrito because they top the burrito with sauce you can get queso which I have done and to be honest I think the queso cuts the fatty taste of the meat better but the tomatillo sauce is a must have. What I really like about this place is that they have so many sauce options and if you're not sure about which one they will bring you out little bowls of each one to have with your chips to help you decide so if you ask, it kinds of like having a salsa/sauce bar to choose from for chips and dip. I never leave this place hungry that's for sure. Huge helping even if you don't get the big as your head burrito. My mom get Chile relleno and she loves them and she gets two Chile relleno per order along with rice and bean when you think about it that's a lot of food. read more

Meh...just meh...I can't go beyond that it seems. It's very mediocre. The food DOES seems to be made fresh so there's at least that. But there is such an over-saturation of Tex-Mex in the DFW metroplex so there are much better places that are more authentic and more memorable to be frank. Nothing that makes it really special ya know? The only memorable part of this place was their knickknacks and local shirts. They had like these cheesy tshirt I guess they sell on the wall, I think one of them was like Back-To-The-Future and other pop culture reference stuff. If I was a fanatic of this restaurant I'd be so inclined to maybe even wear/buy one. Service was good, price wasn't bad. But again totally middle of the road, for me.
