The ambiance was pure Mexican, with a large wall mural of Mexican famous people. The burritos are seeved with two green salsas. One super spicy, and one less spicy, no red salsa. We went to the newest location on Bowen...never having been to any of the other locations, so I can't speak towards those... But this one was just "eh." The tortillas in my tacos felt stale and my son had the shrimp cocktail and it didn't have much flavor. The cashier wasn't super helpful, when asked about some of the menu items. The rice and beans were uneventful. Location was clean...but I think I'll stick to Taqueria Express. Better service and better food. read more

First time ordering from here for delivery and we were delighted! My husband got the Arlington burrito and I got the Birria burrito! My husband eats like a horse and even he couldn't finish the whole thing! It arrived piping hot and well wrapped in foil. Mine was in a box with cilantro and onions and some limes. So my Bestie wanted to go to Gilberto's for her birthday. She's been telling me it's fabulous and I've been wanting to go try, but I hadn't yet made it yet. Oh my God what a mistake. I should've been going a lot sooner. When I think of all the tacos, burritos in Gorditas, I could've been eating... Next time I'm gonna try their Chile Riano have a good chili Riano and I'm sure they would do amazing. I got the Horchata and a shredded pork gordita and it was amazing. I wasn't super hungry and it was just perfect cause it was kind of small. If you were really wanting it for dinner, I'd probably get two maybe three, but it was really really good and I highly recommend it. The people at the front are very helpful and the restaurant is super clean and hysterical. I love the poster with all the famous Hispanic actors. I will definitely be back... A lot. read more

I have never eaten here before to be honest I never heard of them and they have several locations throughout the area. The one time I didn't get a picture. This was the best Hot Sandwich I have ever had the Carnitas Torte and I added sliced tomatoes. This sandwich was HUGE and it was f*ing delicious! The customer service over the phone was great I ordered for pickup and everything was so good. I can't wait to go back to try something new. I'm sure it's going to be today I will definitely be taking photos this time! So I went back for Breakfast/Lunch 05/20 the service was wonderful and friendly! The restaurant was super clean and beautiful inside. I got breakfast sausage tacos and added tomatoes and avocado when I got home and it was delicious for lunch I got another Adobada Torte and fries it wasn't as good as the first one I got and the fries were a little soggy and lukewarm. I've passed by this location daily for quite some time now. I finally decided to try it. We ordered the Nachos Supreme and the Carnitas platter. The nachos were good, not great. The Carne Asada was tasty but could've used more seasoning in my opinion. Much like the Carne Asada, the Carnitas definitely needed more seasoning. Personally, I found them almost flavorless until I put tomatillo salsa on it. The guacamole had the appearance of pudding. There were no chunks of vegetables and almost no seasoning at all. All in all, it was an acceptable meal, although I don't believe I will return. read more

But menudo was gross and cold when my order was delivered.. and greasy with a note that they dont serve granos in their menudo, really a handful written note, they could have messaged or something to give me the choice!. I've eaten at the park row store and was eager to check the new store out near my home. It's been a problematic location for years but they've done a good job renovating it. It's clean and bright. An extensive menu beyond tacos. Burritos, tortas, birria dishes, breakfast burritos, etc. this is Mexican food so if you're looking for Tex Mex enchiladas with chili gravy you won't find that here. What I've had so far: tacos I've had the adobada (excellent) asada (underseasoned and lots of tough chewy bits) carnitas (very good). Wife loves their crunchy ground beef tacos (these might be their best tacos). They are small street size tacos and my issue is I don't like their tortillas. They griddle them too long and are tough. Burritos are huge. Best is the chile rellenos burrito with beans lettuce pico de gallo. They have a wide variety of burritos, and the breakfast all day versions sound great. My grandkids like the rolled tacos. Birria is very good but I've only had the tacos. Gotta try the ramen. They have three salsas at the station and even the "mild" green is pretty warm. They also have jalapeño carrot and onion escabeche, which is very good though I'd like more onions in it. Welcome to the neighborhood. We are blessed with great options here. read more
