I like Chuy's food but the last time we came in for curbside pick up was terrible! They told us 25 minutes til pick up. We waiting at least 30 minutes at the curbside pick up and eventually had to go in and get the food ourselves. Then they forgot to put salsa in our order. The chips are fine but I was hoping I could get some salsa with it. We went back in to get salsa and it took an additional 15 minutes for them to put salsa in a container! Terrible customer service. I understand being busy but not just for a cup of salsa. Very disappointed..... I don't understand how a company would be okay running a business with poor customer service. read more

The staff at Chuy's was quite understanding when I approached them about being overcharged during a recent visit. They were pleasant, apologetic, and professional regarding the issue. The manager personally met with me to settle the issue without any argument or defensiveness. I was both surprised and appreciative of their generosity. I sincerely hope the staff continues to serve their customers in the manner which I was treated. The veggie enchiladas (2) I ordered for lunch were accompanied by a 1/2 cup portion of rice and beans. I prefer more vegetables considering there is no meat in this meal. The medium-spicy flavor was pleasant, but I really wanted another order to satiate my hunger. We just moved here from Utah. We never found good Mexican food in Utah. The young man setting up our cable is Mexican and he recommended Chuy's. We went today for a late lunch. We were very impressed with the friendly service and the food was SO good! Yes, spicy as Mexican food should be. The chips and salsa were delicious. This is one of our favorite restaurants, and it consistently makes our day! The service is speedy and polite, and even when the line is long, the workers get you seated much more quickly than you'd expect! If you have to wait at all, be sure to enjoy some of the excellent complimentary chips and salsa in the bar area. The rooms are themed and brightly decorated, and you need to check out the Elvis shrine. The food is excellent, and we can highly recommend the fajitas and the big as your face burritos. Make sure to ask you server about buying some of the salsa to take home with you, and check out the fun and funky T-shirts that are available for sale before you leave. Had Chuy's for the first time last night and loved it. Of course with it being a fairly new restaurant, you're going to have a decent wait but it is well worth it. The staff seemed fast and on top of their game for how busy it was. The food has some spice to it. The salsa taste fresh and the chips are light and airy. I am in love with the creamy jalepeno dip. I highly recommend the Baja tacos which comes with either breaded shrimp or fish. Definitely will be back Chuy's. read more

Horrible I won't be back....they were over crowded. I felt like i was a sardines. Like how many fish can we shove in this can. Our waitress came to our table twice to tell us she would be back to get our drink order. After we got our drinks it took her three times coming by saying she would be back to take our food order. Her first excuse was she had to go deliver check then came back said she was going to bring us chip. After the chips it was she had to deliver soda to another table. We were given a wait time of 55 mins it took us an hour and 30 mins to get a table. After an hour we asked the hostess she had a not so warm attitude. When our buzzer finally went off she snatched the pager from us and said nothing. Not impressed at all. For a busy Friday night they should have there stuff together. read more

The first time I had Chuy's was in Texas so I kinda knew what to expect but this location is a bit different. Maybe in Texas they have to step up their game to compete? The beer selection sucks and the food was luke warm and very greasy. The salsa was kinda gross. A little bit spicy but no flavor. The flour tortillas were horrible. They were dried out and tasted like you licked the inside of a bag of flour. NOTHING like true flour tortillas. I've had communion wafers that tasted better than those things! I'm not sure where folks are getting 4 and 5 stars? Abuelos is far better in terms of food quality and costs about the same. Bartenders were eating and drinking and then making drinks and scooping up chips for the customers, all without washing their hands. Eww. This was a pretty hopping restaurant. Happy hour is from 4-7 pm and includes free nacho and fixings bar. Chips and salsa are provided while you try to decide your feast for the night. I chose the chicka chicka boom boom enchiladas. They came to me in less than 10 minutes! In a sit down restaurant!! Refried beans and Mexican rice were the sides and pretty flavorful. The chicken in the enchiladas was nice and tender and moist. The boom boom sauce was a spicy green sauce that didn't overpower the flavor. I travel a lot and like to try new places. I ordered the Elvis combo but instead got something else. I didn't want them to waste it and take it back so I ate it and moved on. Here's the issue I did have though. I found a large piece of cardboard in the pico. At first we thought it was onion, then the piece got bigger as we unburied it then it looked like a piece of flank steak. Turns out the manager said that while dumping the tomatoes in the salsa, cardboard could of fell in!?? But don't you have to chop up the veggies and wouldn't you have seen it? I don't know. I really wanted to like this place, and I gave it the best chance I could, but I just don't. I went mainly because they gave out 10 dollar gift cards at the opening of the new entrance to the mall, in addition to a few coupons. I don't know if it's because I don't enjoy spicy food, (which they have a lot of) but the food I got was super bland. The chips weren't that good, and the cocktails were expensive. That gift card would have gotten me 1 low end cocktail. We're sticking to Abuelos down the street. ( which is very good btw, I highly recommend) I just don't understand the hype around Chuys though. We love Chuy's! Happy hour is always amazing with the nacho bar that includes chips, salsa, queso, beef and beans. The drinks are very generous - and the wait staff is friendly and very attentive. Now - the food - which is why we go there - it amazing! I've heard some people say "it's not Mexican food". They're right. I grew up near Tiajuana in San Diego. I know my Mexican food. This is Tex-Mex and it's phenomenal. It's Mexican with a Texas flair. My God the Chili Rellano's are amazing! The tortilla soup is incredible and the serving size is more than generous. The cheese enchiladas are exactly as they should be: Cheddar cheese, onions, corn tortilla in tex-mex chili sauce. Damn that's good! We've had the Chicken Flautas, Chuy-Changa, Quesadillas, Fajita's...It's aaaallll good! We've also dined at the Austin Landing location which is also great, but we were stoked when they build the Beavercreek location. Now we don't have to drive 45 minutes to get to our favorite resaturant. We eat here once a week on average. I would certainly recommend to anyone. read more

Over this place!!! Trunk load nachos are amazing and they have great drink specials at happy hour. I stumbled upon this place one late night and now I seek them out in all of my travels. Our server last time was amazing but this time the bartender seemed preoccupied with her daughter (a server) then taking care of me or others at the bar. She literally rolled her eyes at a guest request. Also I don't really think it's appropriate to talk about company drama with fellow staff within eat shot of guest. The happy hour is great. Reasonable prices for a rather surprising Margarita. The naco bar was pretty Fantastic. Staff was very friendly. The only reason I am giving it 4/5 is that it was still incredibly crowded since it's still new and I was not a fan of the food. It was not what I expected and the portions seemed off. Usually we're not big on chain restaurants but every once in a while one really gets everything right, Chuy's definitely exceeded my expectations! Fairly busy right at dinner time (6:30) and we were seated right away, no waiting. The decor was really cool, a mix of old car parts, 50's nostalgia, and mexican themed items but it was a neat atmosphere. Our drink order was taken right away and the margaritas were just right. Complimentary chips and salsa were awesome! The chips were very light and crispy and the salsa had a very nice flavor with a little bit of heat. The menu had your typical mexican dishes but I really liked being able to choose what sauce came with my chuychanga, you can choose different heat levels and different types of sauces. Everything about the meal was spot on and tasted fantastic, we were both very pleased with the food. Will definitely be back and anxious to check out the cool patio for the warmer months. read more

First of all don't even think of going here unless you like music blaring so loud that you can't hear the person sitting next to you. I went with a group for girls night out and we couldn't even hear what the other person was saying. The chips were very good but I thought the salsa had too much onions and cilantro. Our waiter was attentive and helpful, the décor is interesting and unique and the prices aren't too bad. When my food came it tasted like it came out of the microwave. One of my friends said the same thing. When we left two of us had headaches from the music. I think their food was marginal and I would have considered going back for the ambiance had it not been for the loud music but there are plenty more restaurants to go to where the music isn't so loud it drowns out all conversation. read more

I think I'm spoiled by an authentic Mexican restaurant in Xenia, but since I am on bedrest I decided I needed to look up the best place to get an authentic Fajita Taco Salad since I cannot drive. I live around the corner from Chuy's and decided to give theirs a try. My usual restaurant makes this dish like a sizzling chicken fajita placed onto a salad and it's incredible so I was hoping for the same. When my husband brought my take-out box home it was the size of a medium cake box, so I was encouraged! My encouragement turned to extreme disappointment when I opened the box and saw a HUGE amount of lettuce and purple cabbage and carrots! Really Chuy's??? We actually could have made this ourselves! I did like the taco shell, it was light and crispy, but I had to sift through the mounds of greens to get to the chicken. Authentic fajita taco salads have sauteed peppers and onions, and there was neither in this salad. Lesson learned...stay authentic and avoid "Tex-Mex". Nice chips though, very light. read more

We had to ask the server for silverware, napkins, more salsa, refills, and an extra plate. We never received the extra salsa. The waiter sat down at our table to take our order. He appeared annoyed with my family. When the server delivered the food, he announced our order to the entire restaurant asking what table ordered it. I felt disrespected and embarrassed. The plates were hot and the sauce was dried up as if the food was sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. Ate here last night, and the food was too salty and seasoned. I got the steak fajitas and my wife got the Pancho nachos. I let my wife try the fajitas and she ran to the bathroom and threw up. We did not take our leftovers home, but it didn't stop there. Over the night my wife threw up an additional 5 times. Since my wife is pregnant, I had to rush her to the emergency room to get an IV because she was dehydrated. Never eating here again! read more

I love this new restaurant in Beavercreek. The different decore in different areas of the restaurant make it nice. Food is really good. You feel like you're on vacation when you go there.
