I lived in Texas where Chuey's was on every corner and was always great. Stopped here today for lunch, expecting the same. There were maybe ten people in the whole restaurant. It took almost an hour to get our food (two bowls of soup, a bean burrito, and some fajitas) and when we finally got the food the burrito (mine) was fairly cold. This Chuys was very good. Just a short walk from our hotel to the restaurant. The menu and food items appear to be the same as we have at Chuys in Plano, Texas. Great food and service. I was passing through Bowling Green and stopped here without knowing anything about it other than it was Mexican food. The food was good and delivered fairly quickly. My server (Christina) was very friendly and I never had to ask for a refill on my drink. She always was on top of it and brought me a refill if my glass was low and even offered to fix me a to go cup. I would highly recommend this to anyone nearby or passing through. read more

Average tex-mex chain. The atmosphere was "quirky" in a trying-too-hard way. Lots of loud pop music. No wifi, which was absurd. The food was definitely good though. This place was a surprise. The salsa was a pleasant change from the norm. The atmosphere was fun and the service was great. There was someone there making fresh blue corn tortillas. I had the stacked enchilada which was great. All the portions were generous sizes. They had a blood orange margarita that was weak but yummy nonetheless. Kids meals were the right size. I can always look beyond the obvious differences but the MSG liberally applied to what I can only assume was everything made this experience not only disappointing but headache-inducing and nauseating as well (I am highly allergic). Tried this for the first time tonight and was not impressed. The servers in the bar area were great, but not the food. I had the layered enchiladas, and they had no flavor whatsoever. To start off, we walk in and out table wasn't even built. They finally assembled it as we walked into our dining quarters. I didn't know if we were actually in a restraunt or a junkyard full of hubcaps. Then I check the menu and there's literally nothing that is good. Of course they get one of the orders wrong. I couldn't tel which was greasier, the hubcaps above us or our food. After 5 minutes of eating she kept trying to take my plate so it turned into a game of tug-o-war. You might as well go to the ihop next door because this place sucks. The only decent thing about this place is the music. I'm into old rock and roll and that's what they play. Hosts should be trained how to seat tables, this restaurant only has 3 large booths capable of seating large parties yet all are seated with 4 or fewer people. Horrible customer service from the moment the customer walks in the door is not the way to attract loyal customers. read more

Wow. I have never encountered such an uncaring, inconsiderate hostess staff. None of the three or four people at the hostess stand could take our "to go" order. We had to wait for the "to go girl."
