When you walk in, you aren't greeted with anything but the dining room. In some of the torchy's tacos, there is a Full service bar. For this specific location, it did have a bar. As for ordering you went up to an electronic menu and ordered via the tablet in front of you. What's nice is that there are two tablets so it does make ordering a bit quicker, especially if someone is sitting there thinking or if a large group is ordering all at once. I love that they have a taco of the month and I generally always try and try it. Queso and chips are always a great shareable option and I also got a side of the street corner, which had an amazing flavor. In addition, I typically always get Horchata to finish off the meal. Honestly, I think this took longer and was more complicated than someone entering your order for you, but whatever. I went with what I've had before...the democrat, brushfire, and green chile pork. All were yummy as always. My wife had two of the potato egg and cheese and one fried avocado. The avocado was ok, but she liked the egg ones better. Chips and salsa were good, and we even got a few extra chips at the end. Coke Zero was clear, and the Diet Coke tasted a bit off, but it was fine. Men's bathroom didn't have paper towels, which also seems to be a recurring event, and the bathrooms themselves were freezing. Normally I'm a much bigger fan of Torchy's and have been quite a few times but they are definitely hit or miss. Usually one of my favorite queso's and pretty solid tacos too. But today was my worst experience yet... Maybe I made the mistake of ordering a burrito on national burrito day when they have a $5 deal going on but how do you run out of burrito tortillas today of all days?!?! Did someone forget what day it was and there's burrito special or to order extra? It wasn't even noon when I ordered! Not only did I not get the burrito I wanted/ordered, it took over 25 minutes to come out (wrong) and then when I went to eat it, it was totally room temp/cold. They did offer up 2 taco size tortillas but would've never ordered had I known. Also, it was probably 90% eggs with barely anything else (literally 4 tots)... Service at the front counter was alright. Not welcoming and not detracting either. Just someone who will probably be replaced by a machine some day. That said, I came in tonight around 8 PM and was disappointed to see several areas of the restaurant already closed down, with chairs up on tables. It really changes the vibe and sends the message that guests aren't exactly welcome, even though the restaurant doesn't close for another two hours. As a regular, this is a major pet peeve of mine. I value not just the food, but the full dining experience--and that includes feeling invited to stay and enjoy a meal without being rushed. Okay wow. There were 4 of us and we probably tried almost every taco. Every single taco we ate was delicious. The flavors were so deep on each one. First time trying Torchy's Tacos for lunch with coworkers. Line was long upon arrival but it went by fairly quickly. I ordered the baja shrimp taco and beef fajita taco, and thankfully I only ordered two because of the portions! There were so much ingredients in each taco that it was quite difficult to eat. I liked the baja shrimp one better since there's at least 6 shrimp in there. Nothing too special about the beef fajita one. Tortilla was actually a highlight for me! Their was music that was playing in the background that was not too loud. They did have an option for a bar but we did not get any cocktails. I first had Torchy's at a catered event and the food was good, but it was cold. I knew that I had to visit one of the restaurants to get the full Torchy's experience and it didn't disappoint. The cashier was incredibly helpful. We told her that it was our first time in and she walked us through the menu and how to order. She also threw in a free order of chips and queso for us, which was so thoughtful and nice. This place is crazy busy. Even with tons of seating it fills up quick. The system is efficient and easy - all you have to do is order at the front and then take your tracker and find a table. I'm a sucker for carnitas tacos, but the chips and queso stole the show. Y'all the queso is on point! Some of the best I've ever had. The democrat and pork green chile tacos were a bit dry, but a whole lot better and bigger than Fuzzy's Tacos. Hadn't been to Torchy's in quite a long while, because BF thought I was talking about Fuzzy's, which he says has terrible tacos (I've never been there), but we went last night. We had the green chile queso, which has a smoky heat and is really good. I had the Republican taco, with jalapeño cheddar sausage, and also the Mr. Orange, with blackened salmon. The Mr. Orange has replaced the Republican as my new favorite. Delicious! The Republican is very good, very filling though. BF had a steak burrito and a beef taco. He liked both. I thought that the steak was a bit chewy, but he didn't. Maybe he gave me the chewy pieces. I also had a cocktail made from Patron and Patron Citronge with lime.
