Best food and service I've ever had at a Chuys. Super friendly and amazing staff. Manager was visible and attentive. We will be back often.

Food was bland and taste like it could have came out of a microwave. Service was slow and continuously forgot items, they even brought me and my girlfriend's entrees out over 10 minutes apart. Seating areas are crowded and there's very little room to wait for a table inside the restaurant (you'll most likely be waiting in the car with the AC running for 30 minutes). The enchiladas were plain and not very flavorful. I ordered the deluxe chicken not sure where the chicken was. The sauce, rice & beans very bland to my liking. Service was okay, not many people in the restaurant during our visit yet we felt rushed. We weren't asked how is everything instead it was what else do you need. ( yes more chips would have been nice) The inside is a little over the top with decorations. We have an authentic Mexican restaurant that we visit all the time and it looks nothing like the inside of this. read more

Food was amazing the service was okay I definitely would go back for the food the second time I came the service was great but the food was missing some parts and the manger was rude I don't think she works here anymore which is good on y'all's part she was female type I usually don't have isssue with female being female my self but I was with family that couldn't speak any Spanish and I don't know if that was a problem for her bc even my husband said something about it to me. Chuys in Killeen sucks, too small of a restaurant, the Bar is ridiculous, not enough liquor choices, way too small and unattractive!

It's like putting outback in a building the size of Taco Bell. Food was horrible. Service was even worse. I will not be going back.

I love the design of the restaurant, the paintings are a great conversation starter. That is the only good thing of this restaurant though. The food was AWFUL, my daughter's burger was burnt and her fries were green! Their grandpa's food was cold and when they ordered their drinks, it didn't come till 15 minutes after! When we wanted the check, the waiter took my credit card and didn't give it back till 20 minutes after of waiting other people. They gave us nice prayers on the back of the utensils, but like I said. I'm not to sure If this location is short staffed or what the issue is. The food was good, the service was poor. Me and my friend felt like we couldn't ask questions or modify our order due to the waitress we had. We had to ask for menus and utensils. When my friend asked for another salsa because the first one looked weird and was super watery our waitress said, "well it's coming from the same pan so do you still want it or not?" We then got done eating and we were waiting for 20 minutes for our waitress to come back to the table to check on us so we could pay and leave. I had to get up and go to the hostess stand to ask another person to please go get our waitress. I can't say that I would come back to this location, unfortunately. read more

This was my first time at this restaurant, my son's second. We sat down a little after noon and placed our order. Food was extremely slow to come out. We ordered the queso, it was good. We placed our order...and waited, and waited, and waited...and you guessed it...waited. After almost an hour, the server came out and informed us that our ticket was dropped and our food had not been made, but that it was now being prepared. We immediately asked to speak with the manager, who...you guessed it...took his sweet time coming over to address the situation. He may have been waiting for us to leave. He did not seem to be remotely interested in our experience and made no initial offer to make our visit more enjoyable. Like I said, the queso was good, the food, on the other hand...well, let's just say it left a lot to be desired. The refried beans tasted like they had been "refried" a few times too many, the fajita meat in my burrito was burnt and bitter and tasted like charcoal lighter fluid. My son's rice was dry. He did manage to eat the chicken enchiladas. The service was, at best, ok. I find it strange that no one noticed a missing ticket, and once the server was informed, came out and told us first, not the manager, who should have come over and advised us of the issue, instead of us having to ask for the manager. One thing that will be memorable, on the good side, is the music...and the queso. I won't be back to this restaurant...I will make the trip to Austin, TX where the experience is way better. Zero flavor, i couldnt even finish my plate. There were unnecessary vegetables in my quesadillas that just made everything worse.

There food is alright at times. A couple of times now that I've ordered the family fajita combo they've given me old chips mixed with new chips. I called the manager and she said she'd tell the man in charge of making them. But I guess she didn't or they just don't care. I bought the same meal today and their so called fajita meat is real grisly. It's really steak not beef skirt.Fajitas in spanish is beef skirt meat. Anyways they did it again gave us some real stale chips mixed with some good ones. Wish they wouldn't do that. I spend around $100 a pop each time I order. The least they could do is give us fresh food. Couldn't wait for chuy's open here cause in Austin they're Awesome! Guess I was wrong. Maybe next time if there is one. read more

The bartender working the bar was really nice and attentive the younger bartender started to get busy and they were both copacetic with putting our orders in and letting me get the check early. Now the fajitas were sum serious they were good and an appropriate portion for the single order of the combo. I don't mind waiting 10 mins for my food and talking loud enough so everyone else can hear my business. Will come again might even apply just to be able to access the fajitas easier, idk just a thot read more

Our waitress Julisa was AMAZING!! we got taken care of like as if we were family! she did amazing. We had 2 small children with us which already makes it hard and she was on top of everything! We had a lot of changes to our order and when our food came out everything was just how we ordered. Julisa is a wonderful asset to the team! we will be coming back and if she is serving we will wait to be seated in her area! Thank you for hiring such a sweet amazing person. read more

It was an experience. Dez, was an amazing waitperson. So apologetic . We got to the Chuy's Harker Heights at a little after 2:00 pm and waited until 2:30pm to be seated. Mind you they are still learning the ropes and we knew that going in!! We got our chips an salsa and we forgot to get some creamy jalapeño dip. Dez went back and it took her awhile to bring any back. We ordered our food between 3:00-3:15 pm. It was finally brought to us at 4:00pm with the manager picking up the tab. Jim's order was spot on, but mine left a lot to be desired. No blue corn tortillas or any sauce. Kitchen I was not happy. I ate it and by the time it took to bring me creamy jalapeño sauce I had eaten the veggie enchiladas. We were disappointed that there weren't any sopapillas!! We just wanted that touch of sweet to end the meal. We ended the meal with tres leche cake.
