The staff at this location is too notch. Our waiter was probably the best I've had in a long time at any location. We got there around 6:30 and they said the wait was about an hour but we were in within 20 minutes at most. Food was great. They boom boom sauce will open your sinuses but too it on a chicken enchilada and it's sooo delicious. I tried the regular Tex mex beef enchilada too which was ok but if you want some kick the boom is the way to go. Great prices and a lot of food. First off I will start by saying it's name is misleading. It is not one of the chain Chuy's restaurants which by some of the pictures posted I thought it might be. They started out serving by chips and salsa. The chips were thick and crunchy and the salsa was very generic. I ordered the lunch special, a chicken enchilada with rice and beans. Some of the rice was crunchy and the beans felt like they were from a refried bean can. The enchilada wasn't bad but it wasn't spectacular either. My friend ordered the taco and said "it was good. Bout the same as a Taco Bueno Taco." The bathrooms needs some updating and repairs. Women's: one handicap and one regular. The latches were broken and stalls were a tight fit. The food was AWESOME..WE GOT THE CHICA CHICA BOOM BOOM & CHIX Quesadilla It was SOOO GOOD..love the way the silverware is already in a package for You to take out. Not sure what has happened to this place over the last year. They have done poorly compared to other restaurants that have had to handle the pandemic. Went a few weeks ago and the service was slower than normal. Took quite awhile to get food. Food was just average, and the menu has been cut back. They said they don't have the staff to offer their full menu. Still have to cook whats on the menu. Can't figure that one out. Went to the Denton location yesterday for lunch. Not terribly busy. Was told it would be a few minutes, and that we had to wait outside or in our car. 95 degrees is no fun to have to wait in an unshaded waiting area. Got a text after 15 minutes that "your table was almost ready. 10..9..8 just kidding your table isn't ready yet. Let us know if you want off of the waiting list." Needless to say we left. read more

I went here for lunch with my project assistant Don (not Don Juan) just Don. I ordered the "chicken" enchilada plate which arrived not hot nor warm just tepid. The beans were straight out of a can, the rice was decent and the most edible thing on the plate. The enchiladas were NOT GOOD. I ordered chicken enchiladas, and what I got was other than. It tasted gamey, Like a pigeon or other small bird. I ate about half of one of the enchiladas and left the rest. About the only thing I ate was the rice. And this is because I was really HUNGRY! Well no, but it's amazing. The happy hour nacho bar is the bomb and the seasonal margarita is always tasty and strong. For two years straight we went to this location every Sunday. The food is great and consistent and they are quick to get the food to your table which is the best when you have a toddler. We recently stopped going because the crazy bus boy terrified my child so badly she screams in horror every time we even drive past or talk about the "rice and beans" place and made very inappropriate comments to her! Its very frustrating since my family and i loved this place. My mom did talk to a manager there but the bus boy is there to stay but reassured us he would not come around us when we are there...too bad the damage is done for now. I first discovered this place when I was working at NAS Ft Worth as a contractor. I work all over DFW and this is by far my favorite Mexican food place. Good service and they get everything right: the chips, salsa, enchiladas, rice, beans, fajitas, and homemade tortillas taste exactly as they should. I have eaten here hundreds of times over the last few years, including every day for lunch for weeks in a row. They have a different special every day and it's priced very inexpensively.
