The food is good overall but the service took forever. We waited for at least 15 minutes once seated before someone came by and it was to drop off chips and salsa. We had to ask a server to come to our table to place a drink order. The side room we were seated in was warm and uncomfortable. We were catching up with friends so we stayed and ordered food. It took over 45 min for our food to arrive and I think everyone enjoyed their meal except the flour tortillas that came with fajitas weren't good. I came for lunch because enchiladas ole was closed on a Friday. No bar area fyi! Service was great and fast! If you like your food piping hot like me you will love this place. Everything came out hot and fresh. The salsa is spicy and the brisket tacos were amazing. The margaritas were almost clear and need some work. Been here before an multiple other times. This place just nails it every time. I always get the El Jefe with salt and my wifey gets the standard margarita on the rocks no salt. They are tasty with the perfect alcohol/sweet and sour mix. Most places dump a lot of sweet and sour but not here. Food is always delicious and hot, the wife usually gets the Condesa which she loves and substitutes the rice for sautéed vegetables that are to die for. I have tried multiple dishes between tacos, quesadillas, chimichangas, brochete ixtapa. I have never been let down with the food. Great place, good food, and fair prices. read more

Good food. But each item must be totally made from scratch. I mean there must not be anything preprepared in the kitchen. We waited over 45 minutes for a simple enchilada plate. The party at the next table had 2 1/2 rounds of drinks and they still weren't served. If you're short in the kitchen, don't seat all the tables. We will go back, but not anytime soon. read more

We've been coming to this tiny family-owned restaurant for five years now. They have all the classic Tex-Mex items but we prefer to order their specialties, items rarely found elsewhere in the DFW metroplex. Tapatio is our favorite. The restaurant has a ton of regulars, so don't be surprised if they greet someone by bringing their favorite margarita without the customer having had to say a word. A final note, this place is super small so go early or on a weeknight if you don't want to wait. They won't seat you if there are too many customers for them to handle. Very limited menu and for not having basic nachos or other normal appetizers for a restaurant plus sense I had brought some friends they couldn't read the menu because it was in Spanish . Also service was bad waited 45 min for food . I also noticed a customer getting take out he complained of a 35 min wait . I think they didn't have enough staff but I won't be back it wasn't a good experience and horrible. Next time I'll be more careful when I bring friends to try a new place . read more

This is an excellent Mexican restaurant, and we tried it on my son's recommendation. The menu has all of the traditional Mexican favorites, plus a lot of Tex Mex options. The chili relleno (with shrimp), the Tonala, and the Tampiquena are outstanding. Several dishes have chorizo, and I would highly recommend it. Great salsa and queso. However, the flautas I ordered were outrageously expensive! It was essentially four flautas cut in half for over $10. That's it. No sides. Outrageous! The food is good. The 2 stars is for the customer service. It opens at 11:00 (according to their ads) and I'm there at 11:15. Doors are locked and another customer is waiting for them to open so she can pick up her call in order for a big group that they JUST took at 11. I knock...waitress opens the door and says they're not open. I ask when they're gonna open and she says "I don't know but we aren't open now." She locked the door back up and left us standing there. The lady I waited with was about to cry because she needed to pick up her order for her church group and they wouldn't talk to her. This was actually the second time I show up and they have the door locked during the hours they're supposedly open. Good food but I give up. The gorditas are not what I expected but they are more than I dreamed. You want to eat so many that you won't even care that you're getting a little gordita around the mid-section. The restaurant is a favorite for my sister and brother in law, who swear by it. My Suzie Q has eaten there a couple of times and also wanted me to check it out. It was Cinco De Mayo and we arrived early. The restaurant was a buzzing really early, but it was slightly odd in the fact that at the front door, there were several tables left empty, while folks waited to be seated. I really get anxious eating when you have folks leering at you, waiting for you to leave so they could have your table. We ordered a couple of Rita's for the 6 of us and Sis in Law ordered us the Ceviche for the table, two orders and we all got our very own salsa bowl and chips for the table. I like that. Salsa was on point. Ceviche arrived and they were served in big Martini glasses. SIL took initiative and poured them out onto the plate they came on and we dug in. Citrusey and tasty, not a massive portion, but did the trick. For whatever reason, I ordered the Chalupa's. I say that, since I never order Chalupa's, so I went for something different. My meal arrived and frankly, a little bit disappointing. The flavors were there, however I din't realize I was somewhat ordering an appetizer, which came with rice and beans. I believe the dish was like $11. I think the next time I'm in, I will probably go the more traditional route with enchilada's or the special. It wasn't remarkable in really any way. I eat here at least three times a month, sometimes more. I have never had a bad meal and I've tried everything on the menu. My favorite item is the El Pastor taco plate. I love how they season the little chunks of pork and grill the pineapple pieces. I have to be honest, I can't hang with the orange sauce so they always give me something more mild. This place has been opened for nearly a month now. My wife saw it while driving down Camp Bowie. It's tucked away in a shopping plaza, so it can be easy to miss. Luckily for us, she found it. We love it! The staff is so friendly, and we've been back twice now. We were pleasantly surprised that our waitress from our first visit remembered us and came by to say hello, and personally thanked us for coming back. It was a nice touch and impressive customer service. We've had their tacos, beef enchiladas, chips and queso, Chalupas/tostadas, and margaritas. We have enjoyed each of them. They're all made from scratch and prepared when ordered. The margarita is one of the best I've had. It's very smooth and not as sour as you get from some other big name place in Fort Worth. Pricing is reasonable with chips and queso, 2 entrees, and a few margaritas costing us $50 before tip. You do get a lot of food, and it's all delicious. I'm definitely rooting for them and hope that this places catches on. Definitely try it, as I do believe you'll enjoy it! read more

Mi Cocula is new to the Camp Bowie area. It sits behind Taco Cabana and it can almost be missed. I decided to give it a try today with all the good reviews. No menu or website though. I should have gotten pictures of the menu. Bad Krista. It's difficult though when your waitress is watching you like a hawk. Anyway, so lunch is served from 11a-4pm. You can order from regular or lunch menu. They had mostly enchiladas on the lunch menu. Happy Hour is Tues-Thurs, I believe from 4-7pm. They had several appetizers such as queso, queso fundido, ceviche, and brisket. Their regular menu had several steak entrees, fish, enchiladas, gorditas, tacos, and so much more. I really liked the salsa. It had a good flavor and the perfect kick to it. The chips were fresh and not the thin kind. The queso was okay. I got the beef fajitas. I was excited to see mostly black beans on the menu and not refried. I LOVE black beans. The beef was dry. It was a cheap cut of meat from what I could tell. The black beans seriously disappointed me. They lacked in flavor and pretty much tasteless. Salt and salsa perked them up, but they still needed help. It's a little sad to say, but TC has better fajitas. The waitress was really nice and even boxed up my left overs. Maybe it's just me. 16 other reviews being 4-5 stars. That's what I get for trying to be healthy at a mexican restaurant. I guess.. They had some pretty tasty looking items on their menu.
