Came for the first time when they first opened and it was delicious. The decor is amazing. The food today not so much. Not sure if it was a bad day but the chicken was bland and no taste. Just pepper from what you could see on it. We had no Utensils when the food arrived. Couldn't find our server. I honestly didn't enjoy the food at all. When you love Mexican food, you want a place that doesn't disappoint and Chuy's is one of those places. My favorite entree has always been a Chimichanga, but here you can order a Chuychanga and it is great. It is different enough to be memorable and similar enough to remain a favorite. Typical tex-mex. Seems fresh and well prepared. So far it's been consistently good and no orders have been messed up. Prices are reasonable and portions are good enough for some leftovers or to share. My wife usually gets chicken fajitas and I tend to like the chicken chimi with cilantro and cheese. Unlike some places, they are not stingy with the sauces at least so far. Hopefully they keep up the quality. read more

He was one of the most attentive servers I've ever had and I'm sure all the other servers are just as attentive because that's what I witnessed. They forgot the dressing and the chicken, but were quick and more than kind to remedy that situation. The portions were quite large. The salad could have been split for 2, and tbh-i over indulged and ate the whole thing. My daughter ordered the nachos, and they were tostadas cut in half, with beans, meat and cheese. Be prepared for big. I ordered sour cream and guacamole as well. Big portion of guacamole. I say that to warn you-it was $5.99 and a good size portion. I didn't expect that. We've been waiting for this place to open since the pandemic started. We visited the same day of the grand opening. It was very busy but the staff accommodated us, party of 11. They currently have a limited menu but everything was great. Steak was soft, large size meals, salsa was fresh and a little hot, just the way we like it. Chuy's has excellent Tex mex food!! Their salsa is amazing and make sure to also ask for the white jalapeño sauce to dip your chips in if you really want to be impressed!!! The food is reasonably priced considering the large portions you get. I had the chicken burrito smothered in chicka boom sauce which was amazing! The chicka boom sauce is made from the perfect balance of cheese and hatch green chiles which create a flavor explosion in your mouth. I recently moved to this area; previously a SoCal native. So I know and appreciate Mexican/Tex-Mex food. When I lived in Palm Beach County previously, I found great Mexican food up around Juno/Jupiter. But I struggle with that down here. I decided to try Chuy's based on someone's Yelp comment in that they thought it better than El Chollo. So I am used to the quality at places like El Torito, On The Border, El Chollo and other similar places. I went yesterday for dinner. The interior design was a bit cheesy, but with Mexican design you either get cheesy or lovely hacienda architecture. My server was Diana. Oh my goodness. I can't believe the management would allow a customer-facing employee to appear as she did. With her bright, multi-colored hair, wild make-up, wild face mask, etc., that was a bit unsettling when I want to relax and enjoy my experience. They have NO drink menu! Instead, my server rattled off some margaritas so quickly that I had to have her repeat it a few times. When I asked for something other than what she mentioned, she said, "Oh yeah we have that." I got some top end margarita with Grand Marnier. Drinkable but a bit too sour and could hardly taste the GM (if that is what they really used). And WAY TOO MUCH SALT AROUND THE RIM!!! Hey management, you need a new bartender! The chips and salsa: Chips very bland. Salsa very watery and lacked flavor. Had kind of a white milky or foamy appearance. Chicken flautas: Overcooked and such a very small line across them of the sauce where I had to ask for a side of sauce. It was supposed to be a chipotle sauce but I couldn't taste the chipotle. Beans: No options. Only refried. Ugh. They looked like something the cat threw up. Lacked flavor and NO topping garnish, such as cotija or queso fresco. Rice: Dry and lacked flavor. My first time here was a few weeks ago when it just so happened to be National Margarita day. I didn't know this day existed and was delighted to see they had great specials on their margaritas in honor of such holiday. My friend and I show up around 6pm and it was busy inside. They're made strong but not too strong to where you don't enjoy it. My friend also ordered a margarita but she went with the Chuy's Brew which comes topped with a small coronita beer. She also said it was really good. Now for food, we started off with their guacamole and chips. Very nice texture and flavor! I also tried their small tortilla soup and thought it was also delicious and flavorful. For entrees, I ordered the tacos al carbon which came with chicken and grilled fajita veggies, Mexican rice and refried beans on the side. Wow I love the tacos! I thought their rice and beans were also so yummy. Definitely tastes fresh and not frozen or like it came out of a can. My friend had a chicken burrito and she also loved it! Overall, the food and service was nice and I can't wait to come back for happy hour! The decor inside the restaurant is really fun and colorful.
