My 5 stars are due to our waiter Britton. He was working the tables in the bar area where he took care of us. He was so easy going and made our 9 year old feel very special. She likes to draw while at dinner and he complimented her work. This started great conversations about their mutual love of anime. All in all, not very great. Then again, I'm used to the great Mexican food and margaritas at Abuelos. They have a patio to sit outside, which is very nice. I could tell that our waiter, Tucker, was extremely busy(I used to be a waitress so I understand), but that did not stop him from being very prompt and kind to us. The only reason for the low rating is the quality of the food and drinks. I ordered the stacked enchiladas. The consistency and taste of the chicken was weird, the blue corn tortillas were a light purple, which I'm sure isn't normal, as I've made real blue corn enchiladas before. Their enchilada sauce could definitely be better. Their salsa has too much salt. The lime margarita tasted like it was just salt and lime juice, it was hard to even finish. I've been here 4 times. I seem to keep giving this place a chance. And every time, I'm disappointed. The food is not good. I've tried multiple things and I am never impressed. The last time I got the Taco Salad. I mean, how can you mess up a salad? Well they can. It was not good. The shell was so oily and the meat tasted terrible. I was in town on a business trip and was surprise that there was a Chuy's in town. I have visited many other locations in Florida and even though this is a chain, they provide wonderful fresh Tex Mex similar to an independent. When we come, we always seek out their daily specials. This visit I ordered and enjoyed the stacked enchiladas with green chili. The spiciness of the chili did not over power the chicken. You could taste the cheese, green chili and the corn tortilla provided a slight sweetness to the heat. It is a fun bright lively place and great service. read more

Chuy's is my family's go to Mexican restaurant, because it is always delicious and the service is good. I highly recommend getting the jalapeño ranch to dip your chips in, and I'm sure it would be good on literally anything. It is by far the best thing on the menu. I do with the salsa was a smoother consistency, because it is a bit too chunky for my liking. I love the ground beef softs tacos, and the fajitas are good too. They make the tortillas in house and they are too die for. I've tried a lot of the menu, and have yet to find something I wouldn't get again. To put it simply, Chuy's should really revamp their host staff. What I assume was the lead host is giving Chuy's a really shitty first impression. My friends and I not only waited our quoted hour and 15 mins (which we were okay with, the place had a reputation of being popular) but we had to wait an additional 45 minutes! This only became an issue when we were treated like shit by said lead host, Baby. She gave off the impression that she was irritated at our being there, she was rude and non apologetic. I'm not an idiot, I see the place is busy but as the face of an establishment, you need to be able to handle the pressure. Which she proved she cannot. I was highly unimpressed at the lack of professionalism and managerial influence. Once we were seated, we had a really great time with our server, Rick. He made the 2 hour wait worth it. Sadly, the food did not, but I was hungry so I stopped caring. Rick suggested a good appetizer but I was disappointed in my entree. My boyfriend and I ordered the fajitas for two for $23 and some change. I was upset to see that the amount of food we received was the exact amount our pal received who ordered the single order of fajitas. Some of the food came out wrong and most was missing, we had to send poor Rick to the kitchen twice. Long story short, it'll take a lot for me to return the again. Baby put us a corner (The Weekend Hostess), first she acts like we don't understand how a restaurant works saying that our wait will be longer because they still have a 16 top to seat before us. Mind you we already waited the quoted time of 90 mins. She points us to the bar asking if we have tried queso bar yet. Which I will say is pretty good food. We were fine to wait a little longer but she didn't want to vomit to any timing. I ask politely if I good geography time quote she says another 30 mins. Still kind of pissed but fine with it go get a drink. We take our drinks outside and after about 29 mins she comes out on her rounds to declare and proclaim that there better not be any smoking on our property. What a joke and I tell you this was no cordial ask. She wanted it known that you will be escorted off the property if you light up. I really don't mind the non smoking because I don't smoke. But the way she said it and her attitude was uncalled for. Now after 2 hours and 15 mins our veteran server friend heads inside to complain again and instantly we are seated, but not before she rolls her eyes at the fact that had the audacity to ask. This service was simply and utterly horrible, backwards and condescending. Not only is it not worth the wait the food was nothing special. Tried the new Chuy's today for lunch. It just opened so we new it was a risk but so glad we did. The food was really good and the service was superb. We had a party of four and was immediately seated (granted we got there just before 11am for lunch and when we left, there was a huge line waiting in the lobby). They have Coke products which is a plus for me. The chips were light and crisp and came to the table warm...another plus. The salsa was chunky and freshly diced, not too mild, not too hot. We ordered queso, just the cheese though they offer one with sirloin and guac layered in. It seemed on the high side for just cheese dip but it was very good. Again, not too mild, not too spicy. I posted photos here so you can get an idea of the dishes. I had the chuychanga which is a chimi made with a fresh tortilla (oh ya did I tell you they have a station there behind glass where they make them fresh? Yum). It was over roasted chicken which seemed high quality to me and was very flavorful. You can choose from different sauces and I opted for the tomatillo "deluxe" which is tomatillo with a sour cream base. Yum. They also have either Mexican rice or green chili rice. Not a huge difference but I would always go with the green chili rice- finely diced green chilis and tomatoes mixed in. You can have refried or charro beans with most meals. This is where I see a fail and really my only complaint. One in my party loved them saying they were "true refried beans", another thought they tasted like they had chocolate in them and I thought they tasted burned. My friends enjoyed their dishes as well-the chili relleno, the nachos (though they have those beans on them) and the chicken boom boom. The boom boom sauce was spicy yet tasty. One of the sauces, we were given to "test" while waiting for our food. The jalapeno ranch I think it was called. VERY fresh and yummy. We actually used it as a dip when we ran out of queso. I will definitely come back. Granted, we can only assume they brought in seasoned Chuy employees from other locations out of TX to train for the opening and the managers were running around keeping drinks full and chips full, the service was great and I just hope they can keep up this level of service and the quality of the food being brought out. If so, they will stay a winner in NWA when not all restaurant chains make it. The locale is great too, very close to the mall. I did like the decor-one room was the "palm tree" room. Another section had hubcaps all over the ceiling. The bar area was large and had some tvs. I understand they don't have draft beer, only bottles which is another fail but they did have a variety of cocktails and margaritas and fully stocked bar otherwise it appeared. We have been Chuy's fans for years. Yesterday was our son's 26th b'day. That's where he wanted to eat. It was awful. And it wasn't just one thing, it was everything from the service to the food. Chuy's has shortened their menu, several all time favorites are no longer on it. After loving Chuy's for years, I will never go back...... Update, March 26. Chris, the manager from the Rogers, Ar Chuy's did contact me about our visit. He was very sincer, and made every effort to make it right. He sent me a certificate for free meals. We went back yesterday. We didn't tell the waiter about the certificate until the end of the meal. Chuy's was awesome again in every way. Our waiter was Chad. Absolutely the best ever! Very happy to report Chuy's just had a bad day, like any place can. But is a great, fun place to eat. read more

Places like this baffle me, but I think I've figured it out. In my opinion, this is a "safe" place for most people. It's a little bit quirky, a little bit rock and roll, and the food is decent. You know what you're getting before you go, it's a great place to take visitors, and it's fairly affordable. Personally, I feel the food here is pretty bland compared to most Tex-Mex eateries and it's fairly inconsistent as far as quality goes. I tend to order the chimi most of the time and sometimes it comes out spot on, sometimes it feels like they overcooked it and it's a bit on the burnt side. To me, there are better places in Rogers to go both quality and flavor wise, but this is the "Appleebee's" of the Tex-Mex chains here in NWA, if you know what I'm meaning. read more

Decent, but not spectacular Tex Mex food. Absolutely not worth the current 1 hr + wait times for dinner, which is standard for new restaurants in this area. I had some Elvis-themed combo plate (3 enchiladas plus a taco, with rice and beans), which was fairly good, but honestly I think it's very comparable to Abuelo's, which has much shorter wait times. The service in the main dining room was fast and efficient, and the servers seem to help each other out with misc customer requests. VERY good salsa. Decent drink selection, and if you just want to sit in the bar and drink Margaritas or good Mexican beer, this is more of a fun atmosphere than Abuelo's. The menu prices were a good value, for what you get. I will return, but only on a night where the wait is under 30 mins. read more

There is a reason that this place is packed beyond capacity every night, even when the weather is bad. I don't think I've had food with ingredients as fresh as what's served up here in a long time. It's refreshing to have this option in the Pinnacle area. Finally, a restaurant that doesn't deep fry everything! The drinks are a bit pricey, unless you're like me and prefer a PBR which will only run you $2. I don't know what it is....but the Chuy's food has a spice that I crave, much to my families disdained and teasing....but I think they like it too! Guacamole is ok....but seemingly processed. We called and asked if they took reservations. Was told yes and was then passed to a manager. Manager informed us that yes they take reservations but not on this night because they were going to be busy with the concert. So you don't take reservations then. He said yes just not on nights that we are busy. Well we wouldn't need a reservation if your half empty and not busy. Poor management response. We went anyway. Walked in and were seated quickly on the patio. Tried to pick a table that wasn't in the sun as much but were told that they were seating us at a specific table. Keep in mind that the patio isn't even half full at this point. Seats us at table in the direct sunlight. The young man seating us keeps talking about he had just changed the bandage on his elbow and he's in so much pain (fell off his buddies skateboard earlier) that he's feeling confused. I heard the same story 2 more times as he seated others around us. For a night that they wouldn't take reservations because they were going to be so busy, they were definitely short staffed on the patio. Inside looked much worse. Again management issues. Finally got some drinks and chips. Ordered a bigger than your face steak burrito. Basically it was a refried bean burrito with a few steak chunks. Definitely not anything special. Have to say it had been at least a year since I had eaten here and I was quickly reminded of why I hadn't been back. I was planning on coming here for my birthday. I called 4 days ahead and asked what I should do if I was coming in with a big group since they don't take reservations. They told me to call an hour or so before getting there so they can put my name on the list and make sure they have a table for enough people. I called, they got my name down, and said my table would be ready. We get there, and they were completely rude. They tried to tell me I never called, and never spoke to the restaurant. When I told them what number I called (which was the actual restaurant), and showed them my call record, they told me they didn't know who I spoke to, but they were wrong and they don't have any record of me calling. They were rude, and basically tried to convince me I never called or spoke to them and had no idea what I was talking about. I was aware they didn't do reservations, but they told me to call ahead so I did and they told me then that it was fine and they would have a table ready. The service was just terrible, and it made me sad. I don't think I'll be back to this location, and am really sad at how they handled the situation. Very disappointing. read more

Let me warn everyone that as a frequent eater of chipotle anything, you guys will not be prepared for the heartbreak of their smoky chipotle sauce covering their flautas . I recently moved here from out of state. The state I lived in before had average Tex-mex options that were equal to my own ground-beef-and-taco-packet home cooking, so I wouldn't say my standards for this cuisine are that high. I had heard some good things about Chuy's from some friends who had tried their locations in Texas so I was looking forward to dining here. But we did not have a good experience. The hostess was less than attentive and acted almost as if she didn't even work there. I understand that Chuy's is a casual dining experience, but it was well below industry standard. While we were waiting, a few other employees came up to the foyer, one seemed to be a floor manager and the other two were likely servers. They all gathered around the front chatting and completely ignoring us. They were totally unprofessional. We were waiting to be seated because of a "shift-change" at 4pm for their dinner servers. We told them we would be happy to sit at a table and wait for a server instead of sitting in the foyer, but they insisted it was policy to remain there instead of one of their many open tables. At 4:07pm we were taken to a table. I have worked as a server and a restaurant supervisor in my life, so I have an idea of restaurant standards. The server was great and I have zero complaints with him. The food- where do I start. The salsa was tasteless and way too heavy on the jalapeños. The tomatoes were almost white! The creamy jalapeño dip was gross and tasted "off". The chips were too think and broke with every scoop. The guacamole was scooped on a pile of shredded iceberg lettuce to look like there was more-so that was a disappointing $8. And the queso dip was just heated up Tostitos jar queso from the store. The food was expensive and less appealing than a microwaved burrito. Honestly, I think it's embarrassing to call their food Tex-Mex. My husbands steak burrito had a tiny line of steak and then was filled the rest of the way with beans. It was a 10/90 ratio meat to beans. The best part of the whole meal was the side of French fries from my daughters kids meal- which were clearly just deep fried frozen shoestring fries. When the best thing at a Tex-Mex restaurant are the French fries...we got a problem! $50 later and we will never be going back again. read more
