We called and asked if they took reservations. Was told yes and was then passed to a manager. Manager informed us that yes they take reservations but not on this night because they were going to be busy with the concert. So you don't take reservations then. He said yes just not on nights that we are busy. Well we wouldn't need a reservation if your half empty and not busy. Poor management response. We went anyway. Walked in and were seated quickly on the patio. Tried to pick a table that wasn't in the sun as much but were told that they were seating us at a specific table. Keep in mind that the patio isn't even half full at this point. Seats us at table in the direct sunlight. The young man seating us keeps talking about he had just changed the bandage on his elbow and he's in so much pain (fell off his buddies skateboard earlier) that he's feeling confused. I heard the same story 2 more times as he seated others around us. For a night that they wouldn't take reservations because they were going to be so busy, they were definitely short staffed on the patio. Inside looked much worse. Again management issues. Finally got some drinks and chips. Ordered a bigger than your face steak burrito. Basically it was a refried bean burrito with a few steak chunks. Definitely not anything special. Have to say it had been at least a year since I had eaten here and I was quickly reminded of why I hadn't been back. Let me warn everyone that as a frequent eater of chipotle anything, you guys will not be prepared for the heartbreak of their smoky chipotle sauce covering their flautas . Running errands on New Year's Eve and waiting in long lines everywhere... when the hunger pangs set it. Low blood sugar and was imminent and I was about to get hangry. So, we stopped at the nearby Chuy's (1st time) for a quick snack. We weren't trying to ruin our appetites since I had a dinner planned later, so we decided to sit in the bar and pick something small. The bar was actually a comfortable little place and my husband appreciated the large tv behind the bar with the game on. I opted for one of their margaritas on the rocks, and man was it tasty. So often margaritas taste overly like sour mix and not boozy enough, but this one was well balanced. It was probably one of the better margaritas I've had in NWA. We were brought a large basket of their complementary tortilla chips, salsa, and jalapeno ranch dip. Oh my god, that dip is amazing. Probably not the healthiest, but hey, sometimes you have live a little (:P). We might have filled up on just drinks and chips/dip but we had already ordered a plate of the "special nachos". The nachos came on what I believe were flour tortillas that had been fried, so the effect is a thicker chip that can stands up to the toppings without getting soggy. The special nachos come with guac and pico in addition to the pickled jalapenos, beans, cheese, & lettuce. The nachos hit the spot and we really enjoyed them. Without the guac and pico added, the nachos are only about 7.00, and enough to share. I think the additional toppings were a dollar or two, so you really can't beat the price. Service was good and our bartender was attentive with bringing water, checking on us, and making sure our food arrived as expected. If we are in the area and need a quick bite, we will definitely stop in again. read more

I recently moved here from out of state. The state I lived in before had average Tex-mex options that were equal to my own ground-beef-and-taco-packet home cooking, so I wouldn't say my standards for this cuisine are that high. I had heard some good things about Chuy's from some friends who had tried their locations in Texas so I was looking forward to dining here. But we did not have a good experience. The hostess was less than attentive and acted almost as if she didn't even work there. I understand that Chuy's is a casual dining experience, but it was well below industry standard. While we were waiting, a few other employees came up to the foyer, one seemed to be a floor manager and the other two were likely servers. They all gathered around the front chatting and completely ignoring us. They were totally unprofessional. We were waiting to be seated because of a "shift-change" at 4pm for their dinner servers. We told them we would be happy to sit at a table and wait for a server instead of sitting in the foyer, but they insisted it was policy to remain there instead of one of their many open tables. At 4:07pm we were taken to a table. I have worked as a server and a restaurant supervisor in my life, so I have an idea of restaurant standards. The server was great and I have zero complaints with him. The food- where do I start. The salsa was tasteless and way too heavy on the jalapeños. The tomatoes were almost white! The creamy jalapeño dip was gross and tasted "off". The chips were too think and broke with every scoop. The guacamole was scooped on a pile of shredded iceberg lettuce to look like there was more-so that was a disappointing $8. And the queso dip was just heated up Tostitos jar queso from the store. The food was expensive and less appealing than a microwaved burrito. Honestly, I think it's embarrassing to call their food Tex-Mex. My husbands steak burrito had a tiny line of steak and then was filled the rest of the way with beans. It was a 10/90 ratio meat to beans. The best part of the whole meal was the side of French fries from my daughters kids meal- which were clearly just deep fried frozen shoestring fries. When the best thing at a Tex-Mex restaurant are the French fries...we got a problem! $50 later and we will never be going back again. read more

I was planning on coming here for my birthday. I called 4 days ahead and asked what I should do if I was coming in with a big group since they don't take reservations. They told me to call an hour or so before getting there so they can put my name on the list and make sure they have a table for enough people. I called, they got my name down, and said my table would be ready. We get there, and they were completely rude. They tried to tell me I never called, and never spoke to the restaurant. When I told them what number I called (which was the actual restaurant), and showed them my call record, they told me they didn't know who I spoke to, but they were wrong and they don't have any record of me calling. They were rude, and basically tried to convince me I never called or spoke to them and had no idea what I was talking about. I was aware they didn't do reservations, but they told me to call ahead so I did and they told me then that it was fine and they would have a table ready. The service was just terrible, and it made me sad. I don't think I'll be back to this location, and am really sad at how they handled the situation. Very disappointing. read more

Myself and two other friends Came in to have lunch one weekend. So the 3 of us sat at the bar. Had a drink and ordered lunch!!! The waitress was a sweetheart but was clearly sick with a cold or the flu. She was sneezing and sniffling behind the bar. I was wishing I wouldn't have let her grab my cup for a refill. I feel that management should have sent her home!!! This is how the flu spreads, especially around food and drinks to the public..... Since temporarily relocating to NW Arkansas for a year, I have come to love Chuy's in Rogers. I always come as a single and, every time, the staff accommodate me with the small booth I request. Servers are friendly and attentive and attend to idiosyncratic requests like giving me a plastic kids cup of water, which I can take in my car to go. From my first visit I was tipped off to the jalapeño-ranch as a great dip for their magnificently thin and crisp tortilla chips. It is divine. All of their sauces are divine. Typically I get a combo of enchilada and relleno, sometimes a beef taco. A cheese relent with queso! A chicken deluxe tomatillo enchilada. Both their charro beans and their refried beans are very tasty, as beans should be. I highly recommend this Tex-Mex establishment. read more

My husband and I wanted something close to Cabela's and this place was close. We were pleasantly surprised how good it was considering it's a chain!!! Loved the thin crispy chips. Warm & delicious!! Salsa had a spicy bite to it and we loved it. My husband loved it so much, he even put the tiny crushed chips from the bottom of the chip basket in the bowl to get the rest of the 'salsa juice' eaten up. He ordered the chicka chicka boom boom enchiladas. The chicken meat inside was just ok, but the sauce, again had a spicy bite was so fresh tasting and heavenly. I got the combo plate with the crispy taco, chicken chalupa, and the Tex mex enchilada. Loved the chalupa and taco. The flavor of their homemade tortillas was divine! Asked the server to please bring a hot plain one with some butter. Heavenly!! Anyway, the Tex Mex enchilada had chili over it, which was just ok to me. I'm not a huge chili fan with my enchiladas. Will try another sauce next time. My husband loved it and happily finished it for me. Portions were big. Chips & salsa plentiful. Service was great. Ate like Kings for $30. So my Gluten-intolerant wife and I stopped in here while we had some things to do and wanted to try something new. Was told that they don't have any menus that have allergy information and that the manager would come to our table to provide clarity. He proceeded to go through the menu and named off a beer sauce as Gluten-free. I of course stared at him and said I think you are mistaken. He told me he was assured of his statement since it contained Shiner bock and Shiner bock was gluten free. I knew he was wrong but he didn't want to be challenged. I looked online and he was referencing the fact that Shiner bock is wheat free, and is made with barley. Apparently he doesn't realize that barley contains gluten... I don't think I would trust them at all if you have any food allergies. I wrote into their website and no reply, guess their care for their customers only goes so far. read more

I've been to Chuy's three or four times over the last 6 months. Each time the food was honestly just so-so. I usually ordered just a chicken quesadilla with rice. It seems like at Chuy's the hype is all about the environment, which is pretty neat honestly. The building is brightly colored and nicely decorated on the inside and outside. The waiters and waitresses have always been courteous and service has been good every time I've went. Overall though, the food is just mediocre which sort of dulls down the experience for me. read more

I love Chuy's and haven't sat down in a restaurant since last June. I have ordered takeout several times and each time spent between $50 and $75. The first three times I asked for extra pico. I didn't think I got it. So, this last time I asked the wait staff delivering to our car to bring extra. Extra is one more teeny, tiny little individual container. Maybe I got that before. Absolutely awful. Our server "River" should consider a new career. We waited at least 5 minutes from the time she brought chips and salsa before she brought any waters or asked for a drink order. We requested more salsa and she only brought half the table new salsa. She scarcely came to the table and almost always had to be flagged down. An hour later, when we finally got our food, my "chuychonga" was doughy and not fully cooked. Everyone else had already finished their meals before she came back to check on the table and when I told her my food was disgusting and I did not want it she blankly stared at me and said "what's wrong with it". After an addition 5-10 minutes she came back and said "we were able to take that off your bill for you" ..mind you we did not eat it and it was undercooked, so obviously I'm not going to pay for that. No apology was ever given. Then after we got our bills, we inquired about the children's desert (as it's included with the children's meal and we didn't receive one). She advised they were out of the children's desert but advised "we're substituting it with the churros". We said that's fine we'll just take it to go. Well then she took her average 5-10 minutes to come back or even be seen to flag down, so in that time we payed our bills online using the QR code on the receipt. She returned to the table and requested our bills back to change them. I advised her we already payed and she asked if we wanted to start a new tab. Confused, we asked for what and she elaborated for the desert. Mind you, the children's meal (which we purchased) comes with a desert, we did not receive one, we were never informed they were out, and she said they were "offering the churros as a substitute" then tried to charge us for it. Not to mention we all ran out of water on multiple occasions and we had to set our trash / plates on a separate table because she would not clear a single thing. Absolute trash service. read more
